The very reasonable price for a sandwich and a Metro Tossed Salad!! Bargain City!!

This is one of those well-kept secrets for lunch, especially if you want something closeby and quiet!! It's like a paradise break in the middle of the day. The place is very clean, the 2 ladies are gracious and polite!! My wife and I split an egg salad sandwich and a salad. Hard to go wrong with simplicity!! The salad was large, and the sandwich was very adequate. The only problem is location and lack of any signage. Otherwise, it is our new Go-to lunch spot!!

The ambiance is very clean and very well kept. The service is also great, our waiter was very attentive and polite. Now as far as the food goes, I will rate it 7.5/ 10, our food needed a bit more seasoning. Thank goodness for the pepper and hot sauce on our table . Others than this, it was good. Their plates are huge, two people can eat out of one plate, prices are very reasonable.

This is a little hidden cafe in a corporate building. What a nice, convenient surprise! Ordered a pastrami sandwich, egg salad sandwich, Asian chicken salad and an iced mocha. Everything was really good and the portions were really good for the price! Super reasonable! I can't wait to try the breakfast foods! I will definitely be frequenting here! They also sell specials like lasagna, beef bulgogi bowl, and teriyaki chicken bowls--yum!

Torrance Food Crawl #105 I was pleasantly surprised. I'm accustomed to avoiding the little cafes serving business buildings with their captive audiences and offering limited selections in an environment that usually has a distinctive smell (often its grease that the ventilation system can't remove). But here is a cafe that should stand as a destination of its own and not one that is a secret to the people working in the Park Del Amo business complex. There is a typical selection of cafe items, coffees, teas, sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks, etc. I tried the Californian Sandwich which comes with turkey, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, lettuce, sour cream sauce, on a French roll. The sprouts added a nice touch and there was plenty of avocado. Everything was very fresh. The only knock I have was that there perhaps could be more turkey meat, but that being said, the sandwich was good and it was filling. The place was very clean and the two ladies working there were courteous. The full menu is not prominently displayed - I found it behind a sign when first walking in. Some of the menu items are displayed in paintings on the wall, a nice touch. Walking out I noticed that the clock on the wall had only the number 7 on it. When I asked about that I was told that it was a lucky number. Well, good luck!

There's no better place in the South Bay to get a HOME RUN Coffee or Matcha experience, complete with a super chill atmosphere and pastries that are out of this world. The owner is the coolest guy on the planet, and he's there all the time, making every single one of his customers feel like family. The thing that keeps me and my wife coming back (besides the unbeatable drink taste and quality) is the warm authentic service. This is key. Every other coffee spot is staffed with people who do not care, put zero effort into the experience, and look like they hate their jobs. But at Chrome? Everybody is stoked to help you have a great experience, whether you're chilling there doing work on your laptop, or stopping by to grab a drink to go. It's love all around, which speaks volumes about the business. Recommended drinks for first timers: Chrome Matcha or the Banana Cream Latte. Unbeatable taste, you won't find anything like it anywhere else in the South Bay. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, you won't find any other place like it.

Love the nook but sad about today's experience and I'm most likely not coming back for a while…read more Going to come back when I feel a lil' bit better since they do make pretty good beverages matcha or coffee both always come out consistent. Today was mother's day and the Enclave was busy with a lot of people. They were busy too but the time I came, the line was not to the outside window as usual and stayed indoors so it was a steady type of busy. I ordered my island matcha and sat to wait with my dog, until I just noticed the people behind me just getting their drinks first, then another, then another.. A family came in and got greeted, that was cute, probably regulars, their orders were taken and promptly made. Nice. But then the next ones also were getting made--huh? Where's mine? I thought they might have had some online orders? I was still sitting patiently in front of the pick up counter because I didn't want to bother the obviously busy lady that's super locked in. I worked in food before too, so sometimes I get that some tickets go in front of others and the steady locked in flow of the line was really cool to observe but this was a little bit too weird since--oh another one got his drink right after ordering. My husband finally regrouped with me inside because we also had ordered from the Fish grill, the order was done from fish grill, but I was still there wondering what happened to my drink from Nook--maybe syrups needed to be refilled? Maybe steeping tea?? Idk but at this point I was getting sad since I just saw another walk away with their drinks after just ordering. I sigh, my husband asks me what's wrong. I show him my phone showing the receipt of when I ordered and he noticed it's been a while and he also saw another walk away who just ordered with a drink in hand already. So he goes up to ask them if the island matcha came out. A guy from the line sees the order number, goes to their ticket tablet and makes my matcha drink in less than 5 seconds (I mean it, they're super quick). My husband beckons me to grab my matcha and I come up silently to grab it and leave with another sigh. Drink tastes great. Though the just making the drink quickly and not acknowledging/apologizing that something went wrong was kind of sad since I already felt disregarded in the first place. As I walked away I heard that my ticket just somehow didn't show up but sigh. I wish someone checked on me if I was waiting on anything. I know it's on me too for not speaking up, but I trusted the process. I thought they didn't forget about me. I was wrong. I burnt my favorite mixing bowl today, we got turned away from my fav restaurant for lunch because they were full and we just happened to be the one behind the last queue that got accepted today. I made yucky bitter matcha today. Went here to make my day better but it added more fuel to the fire. :C Sigh. See you in a while Nook. Me sad. Happy Mother's day to all moms today though.

The black sesame bingsoo was my favorite - the ice was super fine and snow-like, light and easy to enjoy. It leaned a bit sweeter than other bingsoo spots I've tried, but was still very good. The second bingsoo was a more classic snow bowl with red bean and mochi on top, simple but enjoyable. The space felt clean and traditional, with good service. Decor: cute decor with books on the side and a few tables inside. Service: efficient and speedy. Menu/food: I really like their bingsoo a lot, but what I really love is their boong-uh-ppang (taiyaki). I also love their red bean, which is not too sweet but rich and flavorful. They advertise that the red bean is imported from Korea, and it really is better than most other places. When the taiyaki comes out piping hot with crispy exterior and chewy inside with red bean, it's sooo good. I like their custard filling too. Probably best taiyaki I've had anywhere in southern Cal. I had stopped coming here for a while and when we came back, we noticed that the menu expanded a bit, and now they have some fruit based bingsoo. Recommend trying once. Their rice cakes are good too, very chewy and fresh.

You can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and drinks. As for the ambiance, it's perfect for those who want to hang out and catch up with friends/family or to study. When I visited, there were easily 5 other groups and individuals studying here. I have a big soft spot for banana flavored items. A BIG SOFT SPOT. Banana Cream Pie Latte - this one carries the biggest punch for banana lovers. Banana cream the entire way from start to finish. Not too sweet. Awesome foam top too. I highly recommend drinking these without the straw. Foam top drinks are best appreciated when you get a nice 50:50 ratio of the foam and drink. Banana Matcha Latte - the name speaks for itself. It's a nice mixture of both. So if you're looking to feel a little healthier with the matcha element, then go for it. This was probably the prettiest drink of the 3 that we had. Americano - delicious and got the job done here. I naturally enjoy Ethiopian and Colombian beans. I brew them often at home. I was definitely wide awake after these drinks lol Strawberrynana Waffle - If you LOVE belgian-style waffles like me, then you'll find yourself ordering this again and again. It wasn't too sweet but sweet enough to easily go through 2 or 3 of these plates if you're crazy enough. Banana Walnut Honey Bread - the best for last! I really loved eating brick toast growing up. There were so many stores back in the day that sold them, and now I can't find them as easily. In fact, Caffe Bene is the only place in the South Bay that I know that sells them. This one brought me back to the past and put a gigantic smile on my face. Delicious, perfectly sweet, balanced, and finished wanting more. Highly recommend!
