Manipulated, scammed, and untrustworthy. I sympathize for the customers that do not speak English because the employees at this location, have taken advantage of every other client by robbing their innocence and their money. My cousin made a purchase and somehow a bundle was included with a phone and accessories. I accompanied him to speak to who helped him due to the language barrier. One of the employees, Ana, was the one that I thought helped my cousin and satisfied his purchase. I asked her why was he charged for multiple items. Her response was a "bundle". I asked her to show me the promotion since it wasn't being promoted at the store. She couldn't show me because it was only on her computer. I told her to make another purchase to show me this promotion. I could tell she was getting annoyed but I was too because she wasn't going to swindle me either. She showed me a discounted phone deal WITHOUT the accessories. I told her I don't see the bundle promotion and I showed her the promotion of a buy one Galaxy get one free on their website. As soon as I showed her that deal, she immediately said, "okay, i will refund you your money." I was in shock and upset on how she defeated she was by being caught red handed. She has lied and manipulated to my cousin and I can only imagine on the attempts she and her colleagues have successfully scammed every other customer. The majority of the customers have been returning to this location because they made a payment in person and their phone doesn't work anymore. As if the payment was never made. If that isn't concerning enough, they need to rehire the entire staff. NO ONE AT THIS LOCATION SPEAKS SPANISH - ONLY ENGLISH AND HINDI. I was first squinted with Alfonso over the phone after I called the corporate location in panorama because the employee working at the location thats 2 min from me was worthless. I called over to the corporate office and Alfonso answered the phone. He listened to my situation and had a solution for everything that was going wrong and told me to come in to his branch and he would take care of what I was told was the impossible. Himself and his manager were very kind and helpful, also extremely accommodating. He followed through with what he told me over the phone and made sure I left with what I came for. Thank you for taking customer service literally and taking that extra time to satisfy customers. When I got to the store they called customer service that couldn't help me in the first place. Of course I got the run around and on one can solve my problem. There were fraudulent charges on my account and all they could tell me is pay the amount. NO IT"S FRAUD... Anyway I would not tell anyone that I like to use metroPCS their security system are so secure even you cannot get into your account...What a bunch of idot's... I went to the Metro by T-mobile store at 9070 Van Nuys, Panorama City, CA 91402 and the manager Jennifer refused to sell me the 4 for $100 plan even though it was advertised on the window. Instead, she would only sell me the 4 for $120 plan, which I did not want. This is fraud and a bait and switch. She provided no reason other than the computer would not let her sell the plan that was clearly advertised both at the store and online. I have since learned that the reps get a commission for selling the more expensive plan. I have reported the store to the FCC and BBB. read more

If I could rate this place less than 1 Star I would. Do not bother coming here. My boyfriend went to upgrade his phone with an old iPhone I had from a different carrier, but was unlocked. All they should have charged him was an activation fee. & instead they ended up locking both phones, the iPhone and his Samsung he already had, and left him with no phone. I had to recall sprint to unlock it for him and this time we decided to cal Metro to activate and it took them 2 minutes for what these idiots in the store took 45 minutes to try and do. & yet they charged my boyfriend but not under activation they gave him an iPhone adapter he did not want and charged him that and said it was the activation fee!? Wow.. all the poor reviews make me concerned and a little worried that Metro PCS may start to mess around with our bill.... But so far so good. Honestly, you get what you pay for in life and that can be good or bad depending on what your needs are. I was with Verizon for about 5-6 years. Was screwed numerous times by them. paid more than I needed to, had random data charges for apps that I never downloaded, and called HUNDREDS of times and majority of the time got rude associates... I really ended my relationship with them badly this last November. But after swithcing to Metro PCS I am happy again. For several reasons: I pay $70 a month for 2 phone lines when I used to pay around this prices for one with Verizon & I get unlimited (!) text and web - while with Verizon I had to pay and extra $15-20 for web and $5 for more texts. While there are a few setbacks like limited reception in certain places (just look at their map online to see where you won't get reception and plan ahead), I can't really say anything else Metro has done to me would make me rate them less than a 4. It may just be that I am okay with a reception that is not good in say Agua Dulce or in a basement! Other people who get bothered easily by this will not like Metro too much.... I went to this store to buy a phone and while that experience was quick and pleasant, my subsequent return to the store was not pleasant. I returned to the store to talk about setting up a second line because of a promotion they were running that made a certain phone quite affordable. I was met with a worker who claimed they were fresh out of the phone in question but seemed to be lying. It appears he did this because Metro has a complicated set of rules about who can and cannot get a second phone and whether they can get the discounted price. So rather than explain these complicated and tedious rules and disappoint me, the guy just said they didn't have the phone. Later that day I learned from another Metro store that all corporate stores should have plenty of the phone in question. Really the blame lies with Metro itself, but stores should be 100% clear and honest about Metro's tedious rules. read more

I've had Metro PCS for about a year. Which is about how long their phones last( that is if you take really, REALLY good care of them). However, this review isn't for the quality of the phones or the quality of the phone reception or the quality of the accessories. This review is for the Van Nuys store's customer service. Holy crap, I've never been ousted so fast with so little and confusing information. They're not clear on what they say, they don't know what they're talking about half the time and at the end of it, they just want you out of their hair to get on to the next customer. Honestly, there's only 1 or 2(and I'm being generous) "professionals" that have a vague grasp on the concept of customer service. Everyone else is too busy playing with their high-end 4G LTE company phone or wasting time in the back room. I'm pretty sure the security guard could do a better job than half the employees at this store. The worst part is that this is the only Metro PCS company store in the valley, as the rest are in central LA, I believe. If you want to try Metro PCS, avoid this location AT ALL COSTS. read more

This is the worst place ever. They offered me to change my number and that I was going to save more money and still have the same internet speed as I had in my previous plan and it was all bs. They made me waste my time and money. It has been very inconvenient for me to have to call metro and go back to the store to get my old number back. At the end I got riped off and didn't got reimbursed they even charged me $35 for supposedly activation wich it didn't make sense because the lines had already been paid for and were active. We will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General as the phone value is $300 & is being held hostage & is well OVER the 300 day active service limit they have on unlocking YOUR phone. Stay away from Metro powered by T-Mobile is my experience. Oh, please don't bother with a reply, We're Sorry as it doesn't fix the issue & it seems lies are the policy now. I have prepaid accounts for my kids on the side so I tried to take advantage of the deal metro has right now to get a family plan. But turns out this place denied me service after they took my lines and already had ported my lines into there account then they said they couldn't do it my lines where disconnected from at&t and the manager said they couldn't port my lines back to at&t. What I'm guessing this people are doing dirty jobs because I went to a second metro and they said that I had already activated an account with them and I couldn't do it again. ( Really). I have been with this Metro PCS for about a year now and so far everything is been good. He agrees to go on. 2.Ok. so the process started, this guy ask me for my phone number at least five times because apparently he was doing something wrong in the systems so he kept on asking the same questions over and over again. he would go to the back of the store about every 3 min ( not exaggerating) i guess he was asking some one else of how to do his job..( dude if you are new, is fine i get we all have to learn at some point, but don't freaking leave me waiting every 3 min and just be gone for like 5 min) bottom line is they really need to put it together because i spend two hours of my day there for something so simple, that i don't even want to think about how much time it will take if i wan to do something else .. Feb 15 I came into MetroPcs authorized retailer (7550 Tampa Ave. Unit C. Reseda, CA 91335) to open an account. Karina assured me that the Samsung Admire would come in the next day which is why I opened the account bc I could exchange the Huawei (if use less than 60min w/in 7days) the next day. This number is used as my business line so I thought it was ok not using it for a day. I called Feb 16 to ask if they had it, Rosa said they wouldn't get it until Sunday (2/19). This was unacceptable. I went to another MetroPCS, which happened to be an authorized retailer who had an Admire & was told I couldn't exchange it bc the store had a different owner. I asked if my number could be transfer to this store since it's the same corporation, Rosa said no b/c of diff store owner & if I did that I would lose my # that I've had for 8yrs. This became frustrating--bc in addition to the problem calling the Tampa store was nearly impossible as Rosa never picked up! I had to call 13 times (according to my phone log) before she picked up! I called Metro customer service (888-metro8) and spoke with a manager, Ryan ID#60890, who told me to head into the corporate store on 9070 Van Nuys. Panorama City, CA 91402 (the ONLY corporate store w/in a 15mi radius of my house) and they would exchange my phone as long as it was in stores. I come into the corporate store and spoke with the supervisor (I did not get his name) who told me that he did not get a call from his headquarters in Texas and therefore couldn't exchange my phone bc it wasn't purchased in that store. I don't understand this! I was already frustrated with the whole ordeal and then I come into the corporate store, waited 45mins, was #2 in line (according to the monitor) when they called the lady in #4 to go up which I let go even though #1 made a big issue, and then was rejected help. The supervisor didn't even look apologetic! He didn't even offer a solution. I asked if there was a number I could call or speak to a manager and was told there wasn't one in. I gave the supervisor the number of the Tampa store and told him I spoke with Rosa today. He went into the back to make a 15min call to "try and resolve the problem." He came back and said he left a message for Rosa, which I don't believe because I've called that store all day and there was no answering machine, that store's number will give you a dead-tone after a few rings. Not only that but I felt animosity towards his comment about my use of the Metro line as a business line. He said that we shouldn't be using the metro plan as a business line, which is what metro discourages to begin with. I said that it was irrelevant of how we are using our phone but that the issue was that we were assure an exchange by Ryan and the store wasn't honoring that! While he's "trying to call the Tampa store" I'm calling Metro's customer service again to get connected with Ryan. I spoke with Ann ID#905003, whom I thought was a manager because that's what I asked for but she finally admits that she's only a supervisor and that her manager wasn't available at the moment. I ask Ann to connect me to Ryan and she told me she couldn't do that. I asked why? And she said because Ryan was at another call center. I don't understand, what is the point of giving an ID# if I can't ever reach that person again. I told her I was willing to wait to speak with her manager. She puts me on hold for 18mins (according to my cell phone log) only to come back and said that it would be a few hours before he couldn't come to the phone. This behavior was very suspicious! That and the fact that it was so noisy in her background that she barely could hear me--like there was a party going on. I had to yell into the phone so she could hear me. This problem was becoming ridiculous. Ann says all she could do was take my information, escalate the problem to the next level in hopes of resolving the issue, and then call me back within 24hr. I asked Ann how she would escalate the problem and she replied, "email." I was shocked at this method! I wanted results not to be pushed aside. (An email can be easily neglected since it is not a direct approach). I feel as if MetroPCS is one corporation with multiple sectors, yet each sector (authorized retailer, customer service, & corporate store) is acting as independently of each other. The lack of customer service in all sectors of Metro is appalling. If I had known this is how Metro values their customers I wouldn't have bothered with them. It is frustrating to talk to 3 different stores, 6 different people (most were managers and supers) and not get a resolution! The attitudes among all the people I've encountered in this ordeal can be summarized as rude, unhelpful, and unscathed by my problem. No one made an attempt to help me! No one offered me any assistance nor any solution. There is no customer appreciation! There is no corporate structure! I filed a complaint w/ BBB. read more

BTW if you've ever suffered the endless loop that is their voice-activated phone support I'll tell you how to bypass it at the end of this review. So, aside from truly shitty voice quality, frequent call drops, crappy coverage and the fact that texts and voicemails can literally take days to reach me, MetroPCS is evidently staffed by people who are insufficiently competent enough to say "Do you want fries with that?". It is the only thing that explains why after more than two months my international calling service still isn't working. I've called in to their second-level "support" desk three times and suffered the agonizing sould-destroying hell that is their corporate store (don't expect to get seen in under two hours - seriously! - unless you get there the moment they open), and after all that it turns out the bozos I've been dealing with have consistently filed the wrong paperwork to report my problem to some nebulous "advanced support" team who will fix the problem "in 5 business days". Five days??? So will they call me to confirm the problem has been fixed, or at least send me a text? "No sir, that isn't our policy" I could staff a helpdesk with a pack of retarded baboons and do better than these guys. MetroPCS is a role model of avaricious capitalism, being expert at selling the service but investing as little as possible in supporting it, and going out of their way to make it as hard as possible to get through to what passes for a sentient human on the phone when the inevitable problems strike. They have perfected an automated phone system that is designed to go in an endless loop of "OK, I understand you want to talk to a person, but maybe I can help you quicker - tell me what it is you want help with". No matter what variant of "support" or "helpdesk" or "customer service" you say, you'll get the same answer...except... Here's how to get by the service - even the corporate office didn't know this - the first answer you give to whatever question the system asks is "something else". When you are asked a follow-up question, say "something else" again - you then get transferred to a living, breathing (if brain-dead) human. Atrocious customer service. I'd write more, except the other reviews have already done so. And let it be known, the customer service is horrible company-wide. It's practically impossible to speak with an actual person. The phone I bought came with a rebate. I had to mail in the info three times, the third time using registered mail, before they would accept the claim. But then I still needed to send them info that had been included but they said wasn't. We were told that if u pay at a corporate office we wouldn't have to pay the $3 fee since this is a corporate office we were surprised when MELISSA tried to charge us the extra $3. When we tried ti explain to her what they had told us about the $3 charge with rudest attitude started saying well if the other person waived the fee that's them but am telling u now we always charge $3. I couldn't get over how rude she was even telling us that we can leave now. Its not about $3 its the principle. Metro needs to do a better job at hiring their employees. I will never return.to this store and am considering changing my service carrier and MELISSA IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB FIND A NEW ONE! I give this location no stars I go in to pay my bill and wait for over an hour and 20 min there lack of service is a disgrace to everyone in customer service you got the laziest manager I have ever seen in my life and that says a lot you have 7 employees including yourself and all you did was sit on your Ass I already called customer service filed a complaint and waited at your stupid machine that was not working to try for the 10th time and put my number in finally with the help of the agent on the phone my bill was paid and it only took her 2 minutes out of my 5 minute call 3 of which was complaining about this corporate store from now on I'm sticking to the mom and pop metro a least they know how to help people in a timely fashion unlike this place never again.... read more

I came here last min looking for a phone. The place got remodel. Look okay it looked better before. They have all the phones on display making easier to choice a phoen while waitting. Customer services was better this time around alfonso help me. He was nice and friendly and answer all my questions. Unfortunately the phone i wanted wasnt available.
