Super professional Greeted me very kindly and explained how his garage works. And his staff is on top of things! He explained how my mom's car worked and if it needed anything else. This was amazing! They were attentive and completely checked her car out thoroughly. Even tire pressure, who knew? This is a hidden gem! They even showed me how my mom's cat didn't need much antifreeze and since I had one they pored it on also. This is what I am talking about! Early in the morning and I'm out in 10 minutes? A couple of…read morehours later as I was driving to work on the I294 expressway, I felt a sudden halt in my car's undercarriage and then a loud scrapping. I had to put the hazards lights on, then safely exit the expressway to look underneath. That's when I saw the engine cover shield hanging. The tech forgot to put the screws or fasten them properly. I was late to work because I had to drive the streets at 10-15 miles an hour. It took me over 2 hours to get home after work also, driving the streets from Downers Grove to Chicago at such a slow pace. I called the Valvoline location when I pulled of the e-way and saw what happened. The manager Rafael asked that I bring my car back the next day, Sunday. Unfortunately, I could not find someone to cover my Sunday shift in such short notice and take off work. I'm the opener in my job. I couldn't bring it back until the following day off from work, Wednesday 3/13/2023. This mishap was very disruptive and inconvenient to my busy work week. My mechanic removed the mangled hanging undercarriage cover and then I brought my car back to Valvoline the following Wednesday. The store manager did replace the mangled shield with a used spare one from another Honda vehicle that was left behind. I spent $154.11 for transportation for those three days that I couldn't drive my car to work due to the negligence and poor attention to detail from the oil change tech. I had hoped to be reimbursed for this amount. I placed a claim with Valvoline. Today, I received a call from Rafael, the manager. His tone was quite different from the many friendly interactions I've had with him over the years. He was very callous and had a "I don't care attitude" tone. He said he spoke to his manager and they came to an agreement that because I had agreed to come in the next day he couldn't reimburse me for my travel expenses. I explained to him that I couldn't find someone to cover my shift in such short notice. My next day off from work was Wednesday. He abruptly said, 'sorry, bye' and hanged up the phone. This underscores Valvoline's lack of accountability, dismissive and unapologetic stance. In conclusion, the indifferent response from Valvoline's manager, Rafael, highlights a lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Despite the inconvenience caused by their negligence, their refusal to reimburse my travel expense reflects a disregard for customer well-being. This experience has left me disappointed and questioning the level of care and attention to detail provided by Valvoline.

I've been told a handful of times to stop going to Jiffy Lube and I guess this was the sign. Even with the coupons online, that does not matter one bit if the prices continue to increase. I might give them one more try but at this rate, I'll rather support a local shop. Even if the Business Responds to this, it would not make a difference unless there was actual change made. Based on the frustration I had, I'm surprised I'm not giving a 1 star.
