I NEVER EVER write online reviews. This is the first time in my life I actually felt like it is only fair to write one. I had just moved to Chicago for school and a semi-truck hit my small Toyota Corolla from the driver's side. It caused severe damage. After months of dealing with the other party's insurance, I finally got them to agree to pay to fix my vehicle. But then I had to find a place who would be willing to agree with their labor rates. I went to get an opinion of another place and they told me I would probably be paying hundreds of dollars (up to $600) out of pocket for them to be ok to take it and break it apart. And after all that it would just end in total loss. I was so sad. I did not know anyone in Chicago to help me. I am student and didn't have extra money at the moment. And my Corolla was only 3 years old, so pretty new and well taken care of. Then I stopped by River North Collision Repair. Mr. Abel was so professional, so compassionate. I signed a form allowing them to directly communicate with the other party's insurance. In less than one month, my vehicle looked like nothing has happened to it. They fully communicated and dealt with the insurance, I paid ZERO dollars extra for them. I picked up my car fixed and even cleaned on the outside and inside. Thank you SO much, you guys really deserve more than five stars. Honest, professional, compassionate, everything you can dream of when going through a hard time! read more

I recently had my 2024 Land Rover Discovery repaired following an interstate highway collision with a deer. River North Collision Repair was relentless working with Allstate to ensure the repair was done right, using all factory parts and providing expert body and service work. When I noticed one small door trim detail I wanted addressed, they once again worked for me to get the factory part and serviced the vehicle while I waited at no cost, and threw in a complimentary wash, which is comparable to a detail at most Chicago hand car washes. If you ever need collision service - large or small - or the highest quality wash, there's no substitute for River North Collision Repair. read more

Both Mike and Abel were incredibly kind to me and fixed my car in a timely manner. They were punctual and communicative during the process. Would definitely support again! read more

From beginning to end all the staff were amazing especially Dario Delgado. My car damaged was fixed like it's brand new again & did a great job washing my car inside & out. My car was done 3 days early that what was promised. I definitely will recommend this place. They also have car wash, so it's worth going. Thank you guys. read more

I brought my BMW X1 here after I smashed the door in my parking garage and Abel was kind professional and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this place for any body work. They did a fantastic job on my car and at a great price. I have a special color that I was worried they would have a hard time matching but they did amazing. They fixed everything to factory standard and I hope I never have to come back here again but I would not go anywhere else if I had to. read more

Top notch service they were fast and responsive. My car was done sooner then expected and looked perfect.

I can't say enough good things about Abel and his team... Honest, reliable, fair, and incredibly skilled at what they do.

Had some front end damage to my m4, and thought based on the reviews things would be done right. But that wasn't the case. When I turned the car on before leaving, it said it had a drivetrain malfunction, and the worker there said to reset it at bmw. The fact that he was going to let me drive away with this issue without letting me know, or informing my insurance about another issue really makes me suspicious about their work. On top of that their installation was horrible. Moisture got in the headlights from installation issues not being flush, not that it was bought used. The hood of the car didn't close all the way and was sticking up on the right side of the hood. On top of that the interior was messed up from the workers "cleaning the car", but somehow made it worse. I just hope when I take it to bmw Perillo, they can see if they did a good job with installing the other parts. But on another note, I really like their car wash part of the company and think they do a good job at that. But the collision repair part of it is not good at all. If they say well we can fix it again, doesn't mean I feel better about it. You got paid to do it right the first time! What makes you think I would want to get something else fixed there?? They should've paid for my deductible! Never again... read more

I've had nothing, but a positive experience with River North Collision Repair. Abel, who runs the Superior location, has an efficient and professional team that was able to fix my car in time for the holidays. They also deep cleaned, inside and out, at no extra cost. Mike, the owner, was incredibly professional, gave a fair price and called to ensure I was satisfied. All-in-all a wonderful experience in an industry that is plagued with unnecessary upcharging. read more

Abel and the team at River North collision repair were amazing! I got quotes from 4 other body shops in the area, and pricing (as well as the service experience) was much more competitive with these guys. No hidden charges or upselling! Communication was great and turnaround time was quick (5 days). I was blown away by how easy they made it. I will absolutely only consult these guys for my repair and detailing needs going forward. They stayed after-hours for me and even offered to pick up my vehicle from my house. Thank you, Abel, Bill, and the rest of the team!! read more

It was under unfortunate circumstances that I had to visit (a hit-and-run), but Abel and his team made me feel as relaxed as a person could feel in such a situation. He worked with me on my budget, which was very reasonable (I had looked at a few other places, and they were around the same), and he did a superb job on the repair. Why did I go with him instead of the others if the price was similar? His quick replies and customer service. Not only did he send me back in an Uber to home (since I would be without a car), he gave me a turnaround time that was faster than the other places, he gave me his personal contact information for any questions, and he even cleaned out the inside of my car and washed the outside. There was no hassle, and my car looked and worked great once it was returned. I would recommend his team to anyone looking to get collision work done. read more

Note: I did not get service done here. I hate to give such a low rating but I am a little baffled and feel kind of mislead by their business name. I don't understand how this place can be considered an auto body repair shop? It looks like a car wash to me. Service area is tiny and cramped with a bunch of dudes washing cars. I don't see any repair bays or even any sort of tools. Maybe I'm missing something? I requested an estimate on yelp for some hinge damage to my door thanks to this stupid WINDY city... I received a very prompt and courteous response that requested to call with more details. The owner was very friendly and personable, and explained that they just had a similar repair that ran $475 but that the car would have to be looked at to give a more solid estimate, so I let them know what time to expect me. When I got there, a guy took a break from car washing to look at my door and said it would probably be around $600 because they would have to take the door off to determine the full damage. Sorry but that's a bit ridiculous. I know body repair can get crazy but I do NOT feel comfortable dropping $600 in a place that looks, in all aspects, to be a car wash. I appreciate the owners friendliness and candor though. read more

Knowledgeable, efficient, answered all my questions, explained the billing and my truck was returned detailed and cleaned.

They did a fantastic job on my 2013 rav4! Looks brand new! Had an incident in a parking garage and went in for a door and bumper replacement. Not only did they flawlessly fix the damage, they also cleaned the interior and exterior of the car, changed the oil, and changed the battery in our car fob! Abel was super helpful and got us in and out in 4 business days. 10/10 would return here if needed. read more

After scraping my bumper and fender the other day I was in need of a quick fix that's by me. Abel quickly gave me a quote that was atleast a 100 dollars lower than anyone else just from a picture. I took it to him, he said he would get it done by the next morning. Sure enough it was done and they had washed and cleaned my car too! After getting the car back I very impressed with the work. I took my car back later on that week to get dent work done. They worked with my insurance to get it fully covered, and managed to replace some rubber trim (insurance would only cover a used part but Abel got them to cover a new part). They had my car ready in a few days and even waxed it for me. Amazing service, great hours, will always come back for future needs. read more

River North Collision Repair - Before - Body Shops Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I had my first minor car accident downtown and waited a long time for the police to arrive. Then it took another couple hours for my insurance to tow my car. So i called in River North because it was the nearest body shop. I also asked if they could help towing the car sooner because it was parked at an alley way (where it was not supposed to be). Mike and Abel was super responsive and kind throughout the whole process. They fixed my car within a week and it was sooner than i expected. So grateful for them. I think i can will definitely recommend this place to my friends read more

Immediately when you call, Mike responds with kindness, patience, and clarity. They understood the insurance process well and quickly got us in almost immediately. After leaving the gym once day and reversing out I bumped the car next to me. Despite this being over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend Mike and Team responded extremely and provided a quote based on some photos I provided. Making arrangements to bring in the car was easy, I dropped it on Monday after work and had a call on Wednesday afternoon. Picked up the car on Thursday morning and just so happy with everything. They ever did a full wash of the car, provided 2 free washes for next time and the actual cost was $100 under the original online estimate. Thanks to Mike & Team for a great job. I'll update with some pictures. read more

Awesome experience! Second time getting my car repaired here. Had collision in garage on Saturday night and almost no body shop opens during weekends. Reached out via Yelp and Mike was super fast to respond unlike all other shops! He even gave me a call to ask about the condition Saturday midnight. Very dedicated. The repair was great and on top of it they gave me free detailing and car wash and made it look new! They were also happy to work with any small dissatisfaction I had. The price was also very reasonable. Overall amazing!! read more

I am very happy with my decision to use River North Collision Repair. Someone backed into my Mercedes SUV in a grocery store parking lot. River North completed the body work quickly and I had the vehicle back as scheduled. The quality of the work was very high, my SUV was returned extremely clean and the cost came in as estimated. No sign that any damage to the body had ever occurred. The new paint blended perfectly. The value was excellent. The cost estimate from River North was $400 less than competitiors (including a preferred provider in auto insurance company's network) and River North had a 5 day better turn-around! Both Mike (the owner) and Abel, (the supervisior/estimator), were a pleasure to work with. read more

Mike and his team are amazing. While other shops were wanting me to wait over a week to even look at the car, Mike picked it up from my house within the hour. They know how to do business properly. read more

Body panels look like new, and car was spotless when it was returned. Great service, will definitely be back.

Very easy to get a quote over phone by sending a few pictures, and had the scratch taken care of within 2 days. Price was very reasonable, cheaper than all other quotes I got from other bodyshops nearby. They also provided complimentary car wash so the car looked like new inside out when picking up. Very happy with the final result and customer service, truly hassle-free. Highly recommend. read more

My car looks brand new! I am not a huge review person, but the service I received from RNCR deserves one. I am so grateful for the time RNCR spent walking me through the claim/estimate process, their quick responses and updates, customer service from the whole team and ultimately the super quick completion! I felt so comfortable leaving my car with RNCR's hands and the lifetime warranty on their work makes me feel that much better. I will definitely bring my car back for any future work! read more

After my car was involved in a hit and run right outside of my apartment, I immediately tried finding a place that would be convenient and would take care of my old car. As soon as I read the reviews of River North Collision Repair I contacted Mike and right away he had me send him photos of the damage to my car, and within minutes he had a quote for me! Thanks to Mike, Abel, and the other guys, the repairs they did to my car made it look 100% times better than it did before I got hit!!! They even repaired a scratch that wasn't involved in the hit and run! Fast forward a month, I contacted Mike to see if I could bring in my car again as the AC stopped working, Abel and Mike told me to bring it right in and they fixed it free of charge! Naturally as my car is 17 years old, the AC went out again, and not to my surprise, they said I could bring it back in and they'd look further. My AC is now working and I couldn't be happier with their services! Thanks to all the guys at River North Collision repair, you've made a very frustrating time so much easier on me. read more
