    2nd mechanics report/invoice
    Cody M.

Be very very careful going to this garage. I took my 2010 Nissan Sentra in because the 'service engine soon' light came on. He said he would check the codes and call me back with what needed to be done (105 for the diagnostic test, not 90 as previously stated in another review). So, after a couple hours he calls and says a sensor went out and needed to be replaced. So, I gave the OK for him to move forward and change the sensor. Matt, then calls me back and says I need my brake fluid replaced and coolant system flushed. I oblige, being ignorant and not knowing much about cars, I figured it may need done. I go to pick my car up and the bill is 900 dollars for a 'simple fix and fluid replacement'. I pay the bill and go on my way. Then, not more than a week later, my check engine light comes on again.. so I take the car back to Matt and he runs a test to get the service code, only to say "oh yeah we got this code last time and hoped fixing the sensor would help". He wanted me to leave my car again so he could "fix" the problem. I, however, was heading out of town and did not need to spend another 900 dollars only to have the problem reoccur again. So I take my car to another mechanic and he stated that I clearly got ripped off by Matt (screen shot of his report attached along with original invoice). He said that the sensor more than likely did not need replaced and that Matt misdiagnosed the problem. The issue involved a broken intake tube which caused the sensor to read the error it did.. He also stated that the brake fluid and coolant fluid had not been flushed as previously stated in the invoice, but rather just been siphoned out and replaced (the brake fluid cap is literally right next to the broken tube that Matt 'failed' to see). To say I am angry is an understatement, I do not know a lot about cars, as most car owners do not. So, for a 'trusted' mechanic to take advantage of a car owner as Matt did absolutely blows my mind. I would be VERY cautious if you take your car to this auto shop.

Amazing, high quality shop that does real troubleshooting and diagnosis. Not simply replacing parts.

Thanks for the question! The age of the vehicle is not really my concern, it’s the availability of parts. Depending on what you need, getting parts for a 40 year old car can be an issue. If you know what you need already, I would suggest you locate… Read more

Can I bring my own parts in and have my brake pads and rotors changed? Looking to just pay labor.

Thanks for the question. Customers are welcome to bring their own parts. I of course will always stand behind the labor and the quality of my work, however, I unfortunately cannot stand behind the job moving forward if there becomes a parts problem.… Read more

Do you guys charge a diagnosis fee? I was quoted at the dealer 1500 for $200 in parts and 1300 in labor. I need 3 hoses and gaskets changed on my engine.

Thanks for the question! I typically charge $90 for a diagnostic, however that $90 goes towards the job assuming you do it with us. Let me know when you would like to stop in and we would be happy to take a look at it!

Thanks for the message! P0300 is a random misfire code and P0301 is a misfire on cylinder #1. Obviously everyone wants to know "how much". The problem is that we don't know why it's misfiring. You could have a $200 fix like a simple coil or spark… Read more

I took my car in because my sunroof was stuck open. They gave me an estimate to fix it and I agreed to have the service done. Ultimately they were not able to fix it and I still had to take it to the dealer for repair who told me the damage that was done would result in an even more expensive repair. Overall, I had a horrible experience with poor communication throughout. They had my car for several weeks and I had to chase them for updates. After the first week with no updates, I finally reached the shop manager and the response I got was to "be patient". This was the state of my car when I picked it up, which was not the state I dropped it off in. Although my car was over 10 years old it was in nearly perfect condition when I dropped it off. The car was hit while parked on the street outside the shop. When I saw the damage I went back into the shop and they sent me to their body shop to have it buffed out. Much of the damage came out but not all of it. Nothing was offered to rectify the damage done to the interior of the car. I sent emails to the shop with the pictures below, but got no response.

DO NOT COME HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more The short version: this shop pulled a bait-and-switch twice, lied about pricing, and refused to release our car unless we paid more than the agreed quote. The situation escalated to the point where we had to call the police so we could safely leave with our vehicle. The full story: We live in the neighborhood and have been paying customers of this shop for 3-4 years. Most recently, we brought our car in to replace a side mirror that had been chipped overnight. We spoke directly with the lead mechanic, who explained that the replacement mirror might not be an exact color match but guaranteed--both verbally and on the written quote--that it would be a similar shade. He also said that if the part arrived in a completely different color, it would be sent back. We agreed on a set price. A few days later, he called to say the mirror arrived and that it was dark silver (our car is white), but told us he would cover the cost of painting it so it would match. We asked multiple times on that call to confirm there would be no additional charge, and he confirmed there would not be. When we arrived to pick up the car, the shop demanded $250 more than the agreed quote, stating that we either had to pay the higher amount or they would remove the mirror and return the car in its original damaged condition. We explained that we had been long-time customers, lived in the neighborhood, and had clear proof of what was agreed to. None of that mattered. The lead mechanic refused to involve the owner or management, even though we had a recording of the call confirming the price. He stated that he "couldn't make $10 on this job" and tried to undo the work instead of honoring the agreement. The situation became so hostile that we had to call the police to supervise the interaction. The mechanic showed up outside of his shift, became aggressive and loud, and had to be calmed down by the police while they waited for us to safely leave the lot. This experience showed a complete lack of honesty, accountability, and leadership. There is no clear management presence, no concern for customer service, and no willingness to stand by written or verbal agreements. If you value transparency, professionalism, or basic trust with your car, do not bring it here
