Returned to Cermak auto care for car detailing, knowing full well they would do a fantastic job because of the previous job where they repaired many deep dents on both sides of our car (see previous review). We were blown away by the superb interior and exterior detailing results! The inside especially looked and smelled like brand new and this is a 13 yo car folks! I was sliding getting into the car seats because they were so smoothly they finished. Also, the price was incredibly affordable. Where's that six star for me to review?! Because they deserve it. I was super excited to try this shop as I have had many friends who get work done here and have raved about it. I was greeted with great customer service but from there it went downhill. I came because I needed to a new control arm. I was one of the first customers thus the work on my car being completed by noon. I specifically asked to have wheel alignment completed as well as the replacement involved my suspension; this appeared to not be done because now my car seem to be still having the same issues that I had before bringing it in. read more

after 5 years in the area, i've finally found a reliable and trustworthy auto care center. i had some body work done on my wife's car that had been lingering for months. after getting tired of seeing duct tape on the door, i had enough. i paid $30 for some panel parts at auto zone and the guys at cermak auto care fixed my door panel and bolted the underguard of my car for $30 - total! same day service. it was really pleasant, and i'll definitely be back. also - my father in law had taken his car into the dealership for a couple issues - they quoted him 1,300 at Hyundai. he took it to cermak and paid $350. i trust the owner here, he seems like a very solid guy and i'm happy to support what he's got going on. bravo! read more

Talked to somebody prior to coming to the shop named Amir, he told me that all 3 things I needed done could be checked/replaced no problem. When I got to the shop another mechanic told me Amir won't be back to work til about 5 days later. He told me tho to come that next morning and it won't be no problem. Long story short I get there and I'm told they can't do any of the work I need except for one thing. BIG miscommunication somewhere down the line on the shops end. Waste of time! read more

Be careful and know the reviews here may not be 100% honest. My main concern with this place is that they offer discounts when you leave them reviews. Discounts are nice, who doesnt live a fee bucks knocked off? But how can you really trust a review that has pretty much been paid for? Accuracy is questionable. I would say this place might be a safe bet for body work, but I am a little wary of other mechanical work that has to do with car functionality. I have had two body work repairs done here and a few oil changes, but one bad experience that has put me off of this place. Bad experience: I went for an oil change and asked them to check all of my fluids and my tires. I specifically said it was important because I was driving out of town. They said everything was fine. The next day, I kid you not, my power steering started squealing badly. There is no way a leak could have sprung that much and that fast to make it as low as it was - They just didn't check my fluids like I asked. This could have been a big problem if it hadn't been discovered before I went out of town for the holiday!! I took it to another *trusted* mechanic in the suburbs and it turned out not only was my fluid low, but I had other major issues that should have been caught with a quick inspection. Needless to say I did not have the repairs done at Cermak Auto Care. Mediocre/ok experiences for body work: The first repair was a door alignment that was very inexpensive but later the door still leaks a bit when I'm driving in wet conditions...thinking this is just because they sort of bent it back into place instead of replacing it - but that was sort of what I was after since replacement was really out of my budget. They gave me what I needed at a fair price and no more. I cant expect it to last at the price I paid. The second body repair was a front bumper replacement that they did pretty affordably...but I brought in my own part that I got from a discount parts store and I did not have it painted, both of which saved me quite a bit of money. It doesnt look fantastic, but neither does it look crappy. You get what you pay for. And I am not too worried about the aesthetics of my car, I just want it to get me from A to B safely. I would come back for body work and nothing else. read more

Worse mechanic in the city. Completely ruined my jeep after having it for a month. Came in to replace a starter ended up having multiple issues as a result. To name a few, broken engine harness as well as crank sensor issues. Not to mention I was left stranded twice after my starter was replaced. In the end I had to take my car to jeep in order for my car to even be able to drive. If you are smart avoid this place at all cost read more
