Gilbert helped out with all the servicing with my car and he was the difference maker when I was choosing an auto shop for my repairs. Recently got hit while I was parked in the parking lot of Walgreen's and State Farm was the company that handled the claim. Falcon Repair is one of the shops certified by State Farm and I was choosing between here and Euro Collision. After going to both locations, I ended up choosing Falcon Repair because I felt that Gilbert was more personable and kept it real with me in regards to all my questions. I had some extra things that I wanted fixed such as a dent and some scratches, which he took care of for a small fee in addition to the insurance claim. When I got the car back it looked buffed and shined...good as new. Would definitely come back. Side note: Hertz is the company that State Farm uses to transport you to and from the shop and rental location. They contract with Lyft and for some strange reason it takes 20-30 minutes for them to contact a driver for you. Be prepared to wait. That or call it in early and pretend that you are already at the shop. read more

Let me see...where do I start? Well, I was hit by a Chicago salt truck and the City's claim specialist assured me this was going to be a smooth, easy process. Gilberto warned me it would not be and that I should file with my insurance and let them figure it out. I cannot say how much I regret not listening to him. Despite that hiccup, he was great to work with and kept me very informed along the way. I had my Mercedes GLK for 2 years and the paint began chipping off the front bumper since it hadn't adhered properly. Out of warranty, I had it quoted at multiple shops in the city for almost double what Falcon charged. They did the job the right way - sanded the paint off, primed, repainted multiple coats, and sealed the bumper. I was in an accident and I didn't have any damage to the body of my jeep, but the wheel was hit and the tie rod was bent. Falcon was able to get aftermarket parts for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler and did a fabulous job repairing my vehicle. They also checked other parts of my old car which were also worn out and now my suspension and ride is much better than before. I did have to take the car back because the alignment felt slightly off and they fixed it immediately and with no additional charges. Both Gilberto Jr and Sr are very nice and took the time to walk me through all the needed repairs and even showed me all the defective parts that needed to be replaced, and also handled my insurance claim quickly and easily. Was very polite, professional, and even showed me some stuff I didn't notice at first. Very thorough even for a visual inspection. Told me I could bring it in the same day or next day. Car was done before the date Jr had told me, so that was a pleasant surprise. Car came out great and looks like nothing had happened. My son was in what i thought was a small fender bender, in his 2012 Nissan Altima. One of the auto shops from the neighborhood recommended me to Falcon. Once in the shop the owner told me that the trunk was shifted to the left from the impact of the other vehicle. It took them seven days to fix my car.. EXELLENT WORK, when i got my car back it looked great. Like the accident never happend, and they also washed my car. The staff was all very proffesional, starting from the girl in the office to the nice gentleman that brough my car to me. Very respectfull.!! Gilbert is a very dishonest business person. He kept us waiting three hours for an estimate and to retrieve our car and charged us nearly 70% more than the quoted price. If you need repairs done, I'd highly suggest checking out Erie Lasalle Body Shop (literally next door). Well, there was never a point that Gilbert Jr. made me feel uneasy about the total cost of damages to my car. He was very upfront and honest. Since this was not an insurance claim, I was paying out of my own pocket, he understood the importance of keeping costs down without cutting corners. He made a very detailed list of things that needed done and stuck to that without adding any extra charges in the end. He communicated extremely well and addressed every concern I had. In the end, my car looks better than it did in the beginning and the work seems to be of the highest quality. There is no doubt that I would recommend Falcon Auto Repair to anyone. I've brought my wife's car here twice in the last year, once when someone rear ended her new car and then a week ago when some idiots scratched and broke the side mirror. It's a 2015 Nissan Rogue with pearl white paint, so I wanted to go somewhere I knew would do the best job with paint. In 2014, I was in a car accident. After careful review and research I took my car to Falcon Repair. During this difficult time, Jr and Nancy made my experience less stressful. Nancy returned our calls on a timely fashion, she was patient and very informative. Falcon handled the car rental and dealt with the insurance because they exceeded the allocated amount. Overall, it was a great experience! In 2015, I was involved in another car accident and since Falcon did an awesome job the first time around I took my car back to their shop. I even had Falcon Repair fix some rust spots in my car aside from the accident. I did notice that Jr appeared to be busy and with lack of space due to not having the shop across the street. As busy as they were, they remained patient and professional. The same day I picked up the car from the shop I noticed the rust I paid for to get repaired was painted over. I brought the rust to Jr's attention. I had a car rental at the time and suggested they repaired the damages, but Jr didn't have time and room for my car. I understood his position and I didn't pester. Jr did recommend to bring the car back another day because he could get the job done in just "one day". Since I only have one vehicle, I called the shop and spoke with Nancy to schedule a time for the repair. Nancy indicated the repair could not be done in the weekend as the shop is closed. I delayed the repairs due to work, school and family conflicts. In July of 2016, I stopped by the shop to schedule a day to have the shop honor their warranty and spoke with Sr as Jr was not in the office. Sr evaluated the rust and called Jr. Jr suggested I drop off the car on Tuesday. I was unable to drop off the car on the day indicated because of work. My wife called the shop and spoke with Jr and explained the situation. Carla, the receptionist indicated Jr would arrive after 10am and to call back then. My wife did, but Jr still hadn't arrived. My wife left Jr a message, but he never returned her call. Finally, my wife got a hold of Jr and he seemed annoyed during the phone conversation but suggested the car be dropped off early in the morning to have the repairs completed. My family and I dropped off the car at 9:00am as indicated and Sr received the car and said they would do their best to have the car completed in one day, but was unlikely. At 4:45pm, my family and I stopped by the shop to pick up the car but Sr became aggravated with us. I explained to Sr that his son clearly indicated the job will be completed the same day and that I needed my car to go to work. Sr said he wasn't aware Jr gave us that time frame and we would have to deal with Jr about it (Jr called in sick the day we dropped of the car so he wasn't in the office). Sr said it wasn't his problem how I was going to get to work. I asked my my keys because I was no longer interested in their business. Sr became angry and mentioned the fact that he had not seen the receipt for the payment back in 2015 and that if we took the car he would never honor the warranty. Sr didn't allow me to explain the discussion I had with Jr because he continuously spoke over us. During the ongoing discussion, Sr brought up an interesting fact because according to him an average working day consists of 8 hours, but Sr indicated his repairman did not arrive to the shop until 10am. Excuse me, but what kind of shop are you running if your employees arrive whenever they seem fit and the shop is closes at 5pm! Overall, Falcon does an awesome job when insurance companies are involved, BUT Falcon does not have the time or space to honor warranties. Gilbert Sr. not only disrespected my wife and I in front of my daughter which was unnecessary and unprofessional. Jr clearly said the job could be completed in one day and that he would be in the office when we drop off the car, but they were all false statements. Perhaps if the repairmen were in the shop a full 8 hours the job could've been completed. Also, Falcon Repair does not accept any credit card payments, all payments need to be in cash. read more

On Sunday January 14th I was involved in an accident with my 2015 Kia Optima, my car sustained significant damage. My vehicle was towed and was taken to Falcon Auto Repair in the hands of Jr who is the actual owner. Jr called me on the that business day and assured me what was going to happen to my vehicle since I had never been in an accident before and I was so shaken up with all that happen. Jr estimated the damage and specifically in detail expressed to me how long it would take. I can honestly say there was so much damage to my car I really thought it was a loss. He indicated approximately 30 days but he would keep me in he loop hole as we went along. My vehicle was ready in exactly 3 weeks . I was so worried that my car would not be the same and even considered trading it in. Jr called me every four days to let me know what was going on with my vehicle I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of his profession . On February 3rd I picked up my vehicle and I waited 30 days to write the review so that I could determine if my vehicle was the same. I can honestly say my car rides so smooth and rides like I just drove it off the showroom. I am elated that my vehicle is absolutely 100 percent back to normal. Anyone that know me , know the pride I take in my vehicle and I would wholeheartedly always bring my vehicle to Falcon Repair and I would advise all family and friends to do the same. If negative one million was a choice, I would rate it negative one million. I am devastated to report this place as such, as I feel like a taken fool and thought these were some close friends. However, after I purchased a vehicle from them and immense things started failing in the car, it was apparent I was duped in to believing I purchased a used working vehicle, which, instead was the epitome of a lemon!!! Who would need enemies when you have friends like these? I would rather give my money, time and trust to Uncle Sam than this horrid, "shop." Go here if you want to be taken advantage of, lied to, and put in harms way by getting your vehicle touched by incompetent, "practitioners." Not only was my vehicle not fixed, they blatently ignored safety issues with my car. Thank God my family and I did not die or blow up.
