Jim and Ed the owners and they're excellent staff know what they are doing, they deal with the insurance company they help you get the rental car you need and they do absolutely expert work. They do not sure change the customer they make short change the customer the parts are replaced properly and they offer a lifetime guarantee. I was really happy with my exterior repair by this place. I have a 2012 Honda Civic, a light silver color, and nearly the entire left side of the vehicle needed repair. The driver side doors we scraped dented and scratched by a semi-truck, as well as the rear driver side by the gas tank. It wasn't catastrophic damage, but it was significant. They did an excellent job matching the new door panels to the existing silver color. It is completely unnoticeable that this vehicle ever had an accident. The repair blends seamlessly into the existing good parts of the vehicle. Really impressed by the repair and paint job, especially since the car is a light color. They used genuine Honda parts which is excellent too. Best of all, they accommodated me when I first needed a quote and I could only be there at closing time. Also they made a significant effort to get more money from my insurance company to help me cover the cost from my lousy insurance. They even had a new inspector come review the damage. It wasn't cheap, but the quotes I received were accurate when compared to 3 other repair places I received quotes from. I feel the money was well worth the work that was done, and I consider myself a very critical client! They even gave me a bottle of the paint that was used for future color matching. Great work, great service- and a decent turnaround of only about a week and a half. Highly recommend for Honda repair. read more

Took my car in did an inspection and said it could take two weeks to fix. A week later it was done so I picked up and they gave me a warranty and complimentary was after 90 days. Excellent service great work and everyone is really nice. Bonus Enterprise rental cars in a couple doors down. Highly recommend!! read more

I am proud to write a review for Jay-Kay Collision and specifically want to call out the excellent service from Jim and Ed. When I purchased by first brand new car, a 2005 Sapphire blue pearl Honda Accord coupe, I was overjoyed driving it around the city. When I got my first front and rear bumper dents I felt like I was going to have a heart attack (getting attached to a car isn't healthy). On both occasions I brought my car to Jim and Ed and on both occasions I got a fair service quote (after shopping around) and always got a clear explanation on what they were going to do for repairs and why. Over time I would take my car in to get it detailed or to get minor scratches buffed out which Jim and Ed never charged for. I don't feel nickel and dimed at Jay-Kay. Definitely get referrals and do your homework because you might find another auto body shop with great service and pricing but my go to for any auto body work is Jay-Kay. I've since moved away from the southwest side of Chicago but they're conveniently near the Pulaski Orange Line which is about a 20-25 minute train ride to/from the Loop. If I ever need to drop off my present car and head back to West Loop (the best Loop) and don't want to pay for a ride share service, its nice to have public transportation options. Sadly when I was in a bad car accident and my car was designated a total loss (not worth the cost to repair) my Accord's final resting place was at Jay-Kay as I had it towed there in hopes for a miracle revival. During this difficult time of healing from injuries and battling my insurance company to get fair market value of the car Jim was a huge help. Thanks Jay-Kay. read more

This morning I pick up my truck (SUV)and they did a wonderful job on the dents and scratches and also paint damage that it had. The people that work in the office are great. They even wash it and everything before they return it to me. I gave it 5 stars because I came out happy and satisfied with everything. And trust me if I wasn't happy I would of gave this place a 0 star. But I had to gave it a 4 stars review, and it was my first time coming to JAY-KAY so I would recommend this place for any auto body work you have. But sadly they ruin the shine on my rims that I have. Next time they should protect the customers rims. read more

Worst experience ever, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Had to go back 3 times before my car was finally finished, huge inconvenience to go every time and car wasn't ready, despite the fact they would call and say it was ready. Car was at their shop for a little over a month, I had to buy a new battery afterwards because it was just sitting. The owner/boss Jimmy is a fake, he pretends to be nice, jokes around just to make you feel everything is ok. Completely rude over the phone using vulgar language. Good quality work, friendly staff & helpful although they are a bit pricey.

I work for a Law Office. I am currently handling a property damage claim and needed to get estimates for the damaged car. The person I spoke to, Jay or Kay, reviewed the car briefly and returned into the office to have a conference. After the conference they pointed to me by directing me to follow them. He looked at the car for a few minutes and he went back inside. He didn't even bother to hold the door open for me which, while I don't need door assistance, social norms require an attempt to hold the door for a person following you. The man didn't say more and then retreated again. When he came back he gave me two estimates one for one side of the car and the other for the driver side of the car. He started to interrogate me about the insurance companies and stated to me, "you're not going to get the car fix right?" He told me that he had never heard of one of the insurance companies, which again was none of his business but I was being courteous because I didn't want to tell him that I wasn't there for that. I finally had to tell him that I was involved in litigation and needed to do what I needed to do. This man is in a community where many people like I serve, go to his shop and they are suspicious and curious about the help they are providing. If they don't like giving free estimates they should charge. The answer is not mistreating people or thinking they are swindlers. Do better Jay Kay Collision--Won't get work from this law office. read more

I had a minor accident and needed my the front of my vehicle hona pilot worked on. i brought my vehicle i non monday, it was ready by friday evening. i was provided w/a rental vehichle for the week. the staff was AMAZINGLY KIND, HELPFUL, PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. they washed and cleaned my vehichle before i picked it up early saturday morning. they did a FANTASTIC job. my vehicle looked better than when i bought it (used). the paint job was immaculate and exact to the rest of the vehicle. i love their chipper attitude and very friendly persona. i highly recommend this facility as a trusted resource for your vehicle needs. read more
