I had a vehicle die out on me down the street just past Harlem & Archer. Called Teds because they had great reviews. They were busy ,and said they needed me to get the car in there ,and I explained that my car died. I told the guy what the issue was. They said it's probably the battery or the starter. I said I'm having trouble finding somebody to look at it. They said call this guy that we recommend from a nearby towing company K & R. They said if it's a battery, or a jump he may be able to help you. Well as it turned out I called K and R. The guy took care of me and it was a jump, but my battery was trashed. But long story short, I spent less money, and due to Ted's recommendation... Im saved money & time. So if anybody has any questions about their honesty, reliability or ethics... Ted is a liar, i would give 0 stars if I could. Ted replaced my starter only to have it break a month later. Took my car back to Ted onhave him replace the starter he installed only for him to tell me he didn't replace the starter,and the starter on it was one he doesn't use. He continued to tell me I was a liar even after I showed him the receipt tonwhich he said he may have replaced starter but that i then took it to another shop and had it switched, which makes ZERO sense. He then calls me and says he was out of town and his son was the one who replaced the starter but he won't fix it because it's a transmission problem. Took my car to Firestone instead and they said it was 100 percent a faulty starter and replaced it and my car runs perfect. Do not trust this pace to work on your car or Ted. read more

My radiator blew out on me and I had it towed here at midnight. The next day I got a call, after leaving my key, at about noon asking about the car. The owner said he'd take a look at it and get back to me on an estimate. It took a couple hours and he got back to me with a price. He also told me some other issues that might be related so he would need to test it out after making the repair. We went ahead with the repair and I also asked him for estimates on other items. When I went to pick it up he had the estimates ready and the told me about the radiator explosion. He explained everything in pretty layman's terms, including why he only accepted credit card through his son's phone. The repair came with advice, which saved me money, and a 1-year warranty. The owner seems like a car-man at heart and shared some fun stories about his shop's past. I recommend if you're looking for a Mustange / Chevy-type car-guy. read more
