Totally a hidden treasure. I love crepes and Mon Ami's are so unique and have such healthy options and a great barista! My personal favorite is their Banana Nutella crepe and they have jam crepes for under $4 that are so delicious (my fav is the raspberry)! Great place to get a soy latte. Atmosphere can be a bit busy at certain times of day but the staff are always friendly. If you're into independent coffee shops and in Downtown Vancouver, it's a nice alternative to the Starbucks up the street. They also serve crepes, I don't eat them, but hear they're good! read more

Ok, I'm a Starbucks fan. But Mon Ami serves Stumptown and mixes great coffee drinks. The Mocha's aren't over sugary like most places. But the crepe's are the reason to come here, delicious! And the vibe is relaxed and eclectic. Love it. read more

The French Club crêpe has been my go-to since day one, and I look forward to a decadent beehive latte every time I come in! The atmosphere is cozy and cute, with plenty of local artists' work decorating the walls. The staff is so nice, and the service is always pretty quick. This place is pretty good but I am unimpressed with the staff and the insane wait time. I have gone to other creperies in popular Portland neighborhoods and they are much better crepes and there is no wait. I am not sure what the problem is here. Last time I went the girl helping us seemed to hate her life. She warned us that we might have to wait up to 30 minutes. Ok, no big deal, we will just drink our coffees and wait even though there were open tables and they were not that busy. We waited over an hour. I am usually super patient so we waited an extra 30 minutes after they said they would be ready before I went back up to the front to make sure they didn't forget about us. The girl that took our order walked by me 3 or 4 times averting eye contact. Someone else finally asked me if I had been helped yet. I nicely let her know I was just checking on my order since it had been over an hour and she assured me it would just be another 5 minutes or so. It is super hit or miss with the staff. Some people are great, others are just terrible. I liked the place a lot at first, it really is a unique gem in Vancouver, but it has gone downhill with each subsequent visit. If they are experiencing busier days, an extra Crepe Maker would help. Time to make some changes. My tip is to drive to the Creperie on Mississippi in North Portland. By the time you get there and get your crepes, customers at Mon Ami will still be waiting. read more

we went here for lunch 3-26-2013. Great friendly staff. I had a salted carmel mocha and the Elvis. Bannana, peanut butter and bacon. Yum. My two friends had pear and brie and spinach tomato. i give this place 3 stars because of their lack of vegan food options and because they only have French press coffee (i know, a drip snob, i'm ridiculous! i just don't like a murky, coffee grounds in my cup experience!). i recently moved back to Vancouver with my sister after living in Portland the past 4 1/2 years. I was afraid I would have to do my coffee shopping at Starbucks, so I was excited to come across Mon Ami. It's a relaxed environment. The staff aren't extremely friendly, but I wouldn't consider them aloof or unfriendly either. My iced soy vanilla latte was as good as any of my favorites in Portland. On my second trip I chose a Mighty Leaf Chamomile Citrus tea. It was really good, I love that company's choice of material (nonpaper) teabags. I would've preferred it in a small teapot, like one of those small glass ones, instead of a huge 16oz mug, but other than that I can't complain. It's a given to have free wifi, but I'll mention it anyways. read more

I go to school a minute away from downtown, so I've tried to visit at least every cafe. I've tried just about everywhere in the Uptown Village area, and this is one of the best. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and spacious. The coffee is good; not quite Paradise good, but good. The service is friendly, and the owners are always nice. They specialize in crepes, which they do very well. They also have a decent selection of wine and beer, but for wine I would just suggest popping across the street to La Bottega. The free Wi-fi is a plus. read more

Mon Ami is pretty cute. I appreciate that they offer gluten-free crepes. They turn out a little more flakey and stiff than regular crepes, but I don't mind. I've had their smoked salmon crepe and the other morning I tried the bacon, tomato, and spinach, both are great and filling for breakfast. I think the salad on the side is a classy touch. The only reason to not give them a 4 or 5 is that the coffee is only a 3 or 4 out of 5. They do some special lattes sometimes, but those aren't my thing. read more

I absolutely love the espresso and the crepes. The best part is they offer gluten-free crepes and they are tasty! This is such a treat for someone who has to consitenly be cautious of everything they eat. I really appreciate the option! I try to come here once a month at least. There lattes are delicious and they make each one with care. They only thing I don't love about Mon Ami is as you walk in there is a funky smell.. Don't turn around at that point.. Keep going the expresso and crepes are worth it. read more

I LOVED both of the gluten-free crepes I had here. I had the brie and jam and then a simple one with lemon and powdered sugar. Went on a Sunday for brunch and it was busy, but I still didn't have to wait for a table. You order at the counter. I would take off a star because after waiting for an hour I asked what happened to our order and it turned out that they had lost our ticket... But then they made ours next and gave me a free gluten-free brownie cookie which was amazing. Like the really good regular brownies I had before I found out I had to be gf. They were really apologetic and friendly about it too, so I'm not holding any hard feelings. Good prices, amazing crepes. I'm definitely going back and getting two of the brie and jam crepes and eating them all myself. read more

I've been here a few times and their espresso drinks are very good and crepes are tasty. The shop itself is small and cute and they have a small seating area out front. That being said, the only con is that it is a bit overpriced. To give you an idea, it cost us $18 for 2 crepes and 2 espresso drinks. Not terrible, but there wasn't a lot inside the crepe so I didn't feel that I got my money's worth. If you don't mind paying a bit more for good coffee and a yummy crepe, I recommend it. If you're trying to save money and get the most bang for your buck, go elsewhere. read more

Good food. Only glitch is that it's a small space. Our first visit was a group birthday gathering. So getting the big table was a must, especially for a group of 8. However we got lucky and the table was available. So other than having to write our order on a napkin and my sister & brother-in-law serving it was a great meal. I think it's really meant to be a cute little 2 or 4 people place. A good selection of sweet and savory crepes at reasonable prices. A good place in the uptown for breakfast, brunch or lunch. If you're going to get in your car anyway, stop in Uptown and support a Vancouver business that's as good as anything you would find in Portland. read more

Waited a long time in line and then for food to come. Had the smoked salmon crepe and Mom had the ham and tomato crepe. Mine was just ok, didn't care for the buckwheat batter but at least had some flavor. The ham and tomato crepe was just bleah- no flavor and hardly any filling. Side salad was fresh but just lettuce only. Those 2 crepes and 1 ice tea was $20-way overpriced for just barely edible food. Place is dingy and not very clean feeling. Won't return. read more
