Hmmm, I had to think about this one because Kelly was great, her sister was ill and had to cancel other appointments but she didn't want to sacrifice the quality of service to her customers, which is admirable considering the rest of the industry is a "turn and burn" attitude to get $$. She worked diligently on my gel mani and regular pedi - by that I mean, she really took care of the cuticles. I was happy overall and I was able to tip on the card; she explained that it was the previous owner's sign to tip in cash. I appreciate efficiency and did notice that the chairs didn't provide any other function aside from a slight eccentric feel and she told me that she felt badly a customer complained about the new set up. What people fail to understand is that new owners can change the way things are set up. I would probably return just because of the care that Kelly provided. Price is higher than my regular place but it's closer to home. read more

Called ahead on a Saturday afternoon and made an appointment for my friend and me for an hour later. We were immediately taken care of once we arrived. Their collection of gel colors is HUGE, and nicely organized so that you are able to see what brand each color is. I appreciated that they were also straightforward in letting me know which colors were true to the color of the swatches and which may show up differently when painted on actual nails. The business is family owned and the workers are all very friendly. We came in near closing time, but Kelly really took her time to make sure everything was perfect and to my liking. One thing to note is that they do charge to remove old gel polish (I think $10), and I ended up paying $45 + tip for my gel manicure. I had received a gift certificate for this place for my birthday so I decided to give this place a try to get my nails bachelorette ready! This place is under new ownership by two sisters, Kelly and Bella. The chairs for the pedi is really luxe and fancy looking. They are definitely trying to make this place have a more luxurious feel. There is also big flat screen tv on the wall playing various music videos both old and current music. Kelly did my nails and she is very sweet, takes her time, and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. She gave a very nice massage on my legs and feet. So good that I almost feel asleep! My fiancé got a pedi with Bella and he enjoyed the pampering just as well. They have a nice selection of gel colors that has a matching non gel polish color if you don't want gel on your feet. This review is for the service I got done, but I also feel compelled to give a PSA regarding that poor girl with damaged nails after an acrylic removal service done at this place. I would like to note that the owners response to that customer is BEYOND RUDE and they clearly have no empathy, I feel compelled to remind the owner what a PROFESSIONAL SHOULD DO. I am a professional in the field as well, just dont dedicate much time since I have a different career now. Maybe these people don't like or enjoy their jobs that much or they received horrible training. Either way I hope they learn from this. ANY PROFESSIONAL NAIL TECH will tell you it is a BIG NO NO TO RIP OFF existing ACRYLIC EXTENSIONS! "its the popular way'' IS NO EXCUSE TO EVER DO THIS ON ANY CLIENT. Especially when there is a clear picture of the damage done to the clients nails. The owners response is a BS response that a lot of nail techs use to convince clients to think it's normal to feel pain so it makes their job ''easier" (its a short cut and what they are doing is wrong). Whether the nail tech takes a plastic tip and slides it in between your natural nail and the acrylic, or they take the cuticle clippers and try to pry the acrylic off, is a big NO, NO!!! NO IT IS NOT OK TO FEEL PAIN DURING WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE A RELAXING SERVICE. LADIES!! NEVER EVER LET ANY NAIL-TECH TEAR YOUR EXTENSIONS you do not know the many of times I've had to almost be rude to a tech for trying to continue to rip off my acrylics. YOU NEED TO DEMAND A SOAK OFF and they have to PROPERLY SOAK OFF not no 10mn BS YES, IT TAKES A LONG TIME but it is the ONLY AND PROPER WAY TO TAKE ACRYLICS OFF. Now for my review: I had a fill and they rushed through the service. Both girls seemed to be in a hurry to finish my job since I was their last appointment for the day. I had acrylic 3D flowers added, however they fell off withing the next morning, no biggy did not care for them much. They did a great job correcting all the mistakes a previous tech had done, how ever the techs drill slipped and hurt my finger, she apologized and I brushed it off since it did not hurt that much. When I got home I did notice what looks like damage from that drill slip. overall my experience was meh, I will continue to look for other professionals that I can trust to maintain the integrity of my natural nails, without damaging them. read more

I've never been to a nail salon that was so rude and extremely aggressive. After asking her the prices for a new set she was giving rude remarks if I want to go check the prices at other salons (mind you money wasn't the issue). She started shaping my nails so aggressively that she cut me two of fingers to the point there was blood dripping from my finger and never apologizes instead tells me I'm making her nervous. I didn't say anything to be polite. She sprays alcohol and oil on my fingers and it starts burning and she has the audacity to be upset at me for saying my finger burns. She did a fresh new set in 20 mins and rushed the entire process. I'm definitely never going to go here again. I don't recommend this place anyone. Getting your nails done is suppose to be a spa like experience and this was nothing close to that. read more

They took all precautions for COVID. All the nail techs were wearing masks and I had my temperature checked upon arrival. It was $30 for a regular pedicure and $65 for a full set of acrylics. In total with tip it came out to $115. I would recommend the nail shop to get a bigger assortment of colors for gel. The nail tech who did my nails was very kind and she was so thorough! She pushed back my cuticles, and made sure every nail was filed to perfection before painting them. It was a bit expensive but I think it was worth it. I've had a hard time finding somewhere in the Bay Area that does dip powder manicures and that does them correctly. Metallic Nails is the first of five places I've tried that did them and did them WELL. They only had pink and white (which I opted for) and are waiting to get more colors but in the mean time can do a dip clear coat with a layer of any gel color on top which they say has been working great. I definitely plan to come back, they were sweet and thorough and the pricing was fair. read more

I was able to get a same day appointment. The one star is for the beautician cut my finger cuticles too deep and bled. I thought it was scary the way she was doing as she was cutting the cuticles SO fast. I have been getting gel nails done for many years and this is the first time I got cut with blood. It is unacceptable. She just said sorry and that my skin in the area is thin, and put some kind of solution to stop bleeding. She also did not greet me with a hello or any welcome when I sit down. We were pleased with the color selection - I especially liked the array of OPI and Essie colors. Some highlights: -Got a pedicure and Sam was very attentive. When he noticed that two of my toes had been hurt by poor shoes, he was careful with them. -Best part about getting a guy to do your nails is the massage is never a disappointment. I've had some massages where they are so soft it's more like a light rub. -My feet also aren't very calloused so he was also careful to not over do it with the pumice - no one ever really cares and they just scrub off my good skin! -My friend and I went on a whim and so I was wearing skinny jeans and as you could imagine were hard to pull down at the end of the pedicure.
