I've been to many salons across the Bay Area, but came here today to try it with a friend who highly recommended this place. I needed a a gel builder fill with designs and for my first visit at V Nail Studio, I'm very impressed and left feeling very satisfied! The salon is bright, clean and well decorated, making it feel very inviting. These things are important because that's how you know they'll really take care of you! That and also the amount of polish and design variety they have is super important. Hailey was my nail tech and she was very kind and helpful when it came to selecting the polish colors for the design I requested. It was so nice to get her recommendations & expertise because sometimes you just don't know what colors to choose based on the reference photo when the nail techs make you choose the polishes on your own. Throughout the process, she was quick while carefully and meticulously worked on cleaning, shaping, filing and painting my nails, giving me the most beautiful almond shape and polish just how I like it. As for the design, she did a great job based on the reference photo and I can't be more happy with it! If you're thinking about going here, just make your appointment already. Finding a nail salon in Newark is pretty easy, but finding one that gives solid pedicures that leave your feet feeling fresh is not as easy. V Nail Studio is an amazing find. My wife has gone here twice but my first time was incredible. The studio feels incredibly clean and everyone here was so welcoming. I went by myself and nobody seemed bothered by a man just walking in for a pedicure. The pedicure itself was perfect. My feet felt was fresh afterwards and the leg massage was out of this world. I usually really liked this place and the usual person that does my nails. However today was different. She cut my skin in two different places and when I told her, she did say sorry, and told me to wash my hands. When I did, ofcourse I had to wipe my hands, but the bleeding got worst. I told her I'm still bleeding and she said "it's because you pressed it!" To me that is shifting blame to the customer, even when she was the one who cut my skin. I know accidents happen but making it seem that I made the situation worst is where I draw the line. As for the nails, it was okay. I asked for french nails, and it was uneven tips, and unfinished on the thumb she cut. I still tipped them because I know they still work hard regardless of what has happened to me today. Not sure if I'll be coming back, but hopefully with this review they can take the constructive criticism for new customer. read more

Really really enjoyed going here. I got builder gel on my hands and gel on my toes. The environment was relaxing I almost fell asleep lol. I actually just got done a picture of what they did in the past because I thought it was really pretty! It is so elegant and honestly I don't even care so much about the color and design, but my biggest thing is their attention to detail and not feeling rushed. Booking an appointment was a breeze! I needed a place that offers gel X. This place was 10 minutes from my house and convenient. It used to be called Lush but now has new ownership. The space is lovely and spotless. I visited on a Wednesday, so it was very relaxing. Ivy, my nail tech, listened carefully to my gel X ideas, and she did an excellent job removing my old set gently and carefully, making sure not to hurt me and protecting my natural nails. She was patient, taking her time to create a design that matched my inspiration perfectly. The price was pretty reasonable too, and I'll definitely come back here.
