Mesh Salad with salmon
Amy R.

Got here right as they opened for lunch on a Friday, service was good, had to wait a little bit for our food but I'll attribute that to us being the first ones there and things not fully ready to go yet maybe? They did seat us in a dark back corner which I found to be an interesting choice for an empty restaurant but maybe that's how they do things? Food was top notch. The Mesh salad was great and the dressing was light and coated everything. I added some salmon for protein. It was a bit in the dry side but the salad and its dressing helped. The star for me were the crab cakes. Who knew Midwest establishment could make crab cakes so delectable! I would put in two orders of them for my meal! Definitely a place I'd return to on Mass Ave

My husband and I came in here a couple weeks ago after work for dinner/before we went to see a movie. The service was great, the restaurant was quiet since it was a weeknight, and the food was phenomenal. The roasted baby carrots were our favorite savory item and the white chocolate cherry bread pudding was a spectacular dessert that was salty, sweet, and had plenty of ice cream and whipped cream for every bite. We each had a cocktail, which were delicious as well. I cannot wait to come back!

My husband and I were invited back to Mesh for his birthday. And when I tell you they not only made up for our last encounter but stepped it up one hundredfold. Where the food lacked it no longer did. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I don't know if they got a new chief or what but oh my God it was good. Our waitress was professional and attentive. She made sure we didn't want for anything. Everything was absolutely delightful! Thank you so much to the Manager, the entire staff, and everyone in between. We dined in with a reservation for devour week. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance and interior design was very nice and classy. However, I think the value for the food was not that great. My husband ordered the filet mignon and the steak was a little too charred which affected the taste. The steak came with only three sticks of asparagus which seems a little skimpy. The 3 course meal was tasty and I was satisfied with it - lobster bisque, salmon with salad, and creme brulee. We ordered an additional side of mushrooms which was good though a little salty.

I had forgotten about their half off bottles of wine on Sundays! Enjoyed a bottle of cab and their delicious lobster bisque to warm up on a cold night along with a charcuterie board. Bravo!

Tried Mesh for our 27th anniversary dinner. Service was excellent, the restaurant has several areas that are all uniquely decorated and separated so you can have a large group or a quiet dining experience. The food was very good. I had a filet and my wife had salmon. Both were prepared well and the sides were delicious, broccolini was a little undercooked. We had a bread basket that my wife really enjoyed. Our waiter gave us a complimentary dessert that we brought home - peanut butter pie, it was really good.

I ordered the breakfast burger, and it was very undercooked. It was not prepared the way that I asked for it. Their brunch menu is very limited in my opinion. I don't know if it is always a thing, but when we went, there were half off bottles of wine and champagne. But our server didn't tell us that until after we ordered our first round of drinks. Honestly, I think this restaurant is just my second experience and didn't love either one of them

Mesh is always a solid choice for a restaurant--you truly can't go wrong. Their menu offers something for everyone, and the prices are fair for the quality. While my meal was slightly on the salty side this time, it didn't take away from the overall experience. I'm a fan of Caesar salads, but I felt this one had a bit too much going on for my taste. Our server was amazing and attentive. The ambiance was quiet as it was a Monday evening. That said, the Cunningham Restaurant Group remains one of my go-tos for consistently fresh ingredients and thoughtful execution. If you've never been to one of their restaurants, I highly recommend giving them a try!

In town for a conference and decided to check out Mesh as the reviews were pretty good. Restaurant is cute but the top area was closed and only indoor bar area seating was available besides outside. Outside was beautiful and quaint. Ordered an Arnold Palmer and the pad Thai lunch special. Was so good but wish it was a tad less on the sweeter side. But ultimately very flavorful and good! If you are looking for something affordable, cute, and good check out Mesh!

I went with friends for Indy Devour 2024 (winter). We were able to make a reservation easily and were seated promptly when most of us arrived. I tried the Strolling Studebakers cocktail. It was okay. Next time I'll probably stick to wine. For the starter I went with the Hunter's Stew. I liked it. The crostini was excellent with the soup. For the entree I tried the salmon. It was a bit smaller than expected, but the flavor was very very good. Another friend got to short rib which was amazing. The chicken was also good according to another friend, but I didn't get a chance to try it. For dessert I got the crème brûlée. It was good. As good as any other crème brûlée that I've had. (I've never had a bad one before.) We were seated upstairs where it was quiet. Nice lighting. Good service. Our waitress and other staff were attentive. We had a lovely time overall! I'd come back again.

The food was really good. I especially enjoyed my crab cakes. The ambiance was a little odd as it was really quiet inside. Next time I may try dining outside.

AMAZING food here. We ordered the bread basked and holy cow every piece was so delicious and I loved the spicy dipping sauce. I also had the chicken sandwich and it truly was a perfect chicken sandwich. The sweet potato chips were so light and flavorful, and the fries were amazing. Overall a solid 10/10 meal. We ate at the bar because the wait was pretty long - we were told it was about a 15 minute wait, but luckily we did eat at the bar because we never got any sort of notification that our table was ready lol.

Kung Pao Calamari

Wonderful service from start to finish. Adam, our server was friendly, quick to fill our drinks, and super knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the calamari and deviled eggs, both fresh and flavorful. We then proceeded to order the mesh salad and compressed watermelon salad, also amazing. Then we had the filet medium cooked to perfection and the salmon. Next up a mocktail also delicious but I can't remember the name see my photo. Then it was onto the fried green tomatoes! Hands down the best I've had. We finished with the bread pudding with luxardo cherries and cinnamon which was absolutely incredible. The ambiance was casual upscale and approachable class, not pretentious but welcoming. Amazing meal, amazing service, give Adam a raise!

The place is pretty with a nice bar area and the ambiance is nice with good lighting. We sat in one of the booths which was dirty but on the plus side love the privacy of them. To start the food took a long time to come which is always understandable and sometimes expected at fine dining, but was not worth the wait or price. First, the steak was said to be good, but the asparagus side was underwhelming with little to no seasoning/ butter. The lamb chops come with Alfredo pasta and was not seasoned and just not good. We had three orders of those so everybody can't be wrong. The shrimp and linguine pasta was dry with no sauce at all. On top of that the noodles were brittle and hard. I asked if we could have more sauce which helped a little bit. But i could not eat it because the noodles themselves were hard and dry and i did not want to send anything back because of the company i had. The presentation was pretty but the execution did not land. We also got espresso martinis and raspberry martinis and those were made well. For a place like this you just expect a little more pizazz and things to be on point! Especially at the price point they are at i expect everything to be tasty and saucy and flavorful and juicy. Can skip this one.

Listen... this wasn't just a dish, this was an EXPERIENCE. The grits were creamy, smooth, and perfectly rich, but that sauce layered on top?? Whew. Flavor on flavor on flavor.
