I would strongly advise avoiding this company. I brought my lawn mower in for service , but not only was the original problem left unresolved, they also attempted to charge me twice. To make matters worse, the replacement belt they installed shredded immediately after receiving it back from them. When I called simply to check on the status of a replacement part, I was met with extremely unprofessional behavior. The person I spoke with, who state he was the owner, swore at me during the conversation. No customer should be insulted or verbally abused for asking a reasonable question, as I had been waiting 3 weeks for the part to arrive. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable. Terrible experience with the owner Jeff Mullins and Merit hardware and its hard to believe that they're even still in business. I gave Jeff my credit card over the phone to purchase a BadBoy Zero Turn for the full amount. In less than 24 hours I went to their shop after reading the terrible online reviews to request a full refund. Keep in mind that on their website it says "full refunds are given on unused items within 30 days." I never even picked up the Zero Turn, so I had nothing to return. I was told by the store clerk that I would have to speak directly to Jeff the owner about the refund and asked to have Jeff give me a call. He never called, so I called him twice about the refund. He was very short with me on the phone and basically said, Yea, I'll take care of it. It's been roughly two weeks and still no refund, so I had to go through the trouble of filing a dispute with my credit card company. Jeff was very nice when I was buying, but his personality totally changed when I wanted to cancel the sale. All he had to do is simply refund my money and there would've been no problem, but he did not. I ordered an engine online, they shipped the wrong part which I provided from the SKU that was sent vs what I ordered. They never apologized, told me to ship it back to them at my cost. They did finally send the freight company back to get the part. I was told the correct part would ship when they got the wrong part back. I followed up to see when they would be sending the new part and I got an email back with photos showing a broken box asking if that was how I shipped it. I informed them it was not, my neighbor was present when I loaded it in the truck and XPO would not accept it had it not been in tact. Bought a brand new Rebel this year. I wanted a rebel X but his salesman assured me that the rebel will work just fine. Well it didn't. Problem after problem. Finally after some heated phone calls and being threatened by Jeff personally he agreed to take the rebel in towards a rebel X and an additional 2K. Well first 10 min of using it bolts start falling off. Called the sales rep and he said "look at the parts schematic, don't know what to tell you" well this rebel X has 45 hours on it and the bagger is bent due to cheap Chinese metal, the frame is bad from the factory (factory confirmed it) engine has no power and deck lock is broken. Same thing happened 3 times, in July I was told they could not get a manual and they would email me one. They emailed me the parts manual not the maintenance manual. I called back telling them I need a hard copy of the manual, after arguing with a person on the phone they took half of my address and told me they would see what they could do, then hung up on me when I asked them their name. I was told I would have the bounce house, generator and cords and when they showed up it was not the bounce house ordered, but one that was twice the size. No generator, no cords.
