The owner was really attentive and so was his employee. I was amazed at how many different products they had in the store for the size of the place. A lot of the hardware stores in my area went out of business years ago leaving me only with options like HD and LHI. I have always preferred to shop in small local businesses rather than corporations when I can get what I need from them. I really believe in supporting brick and mortar stores in this day and age because the Internet has made it very difficult for them. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. I really enjoyed just browsing around and then picking up a bunch of stuff that had been in the back of my mind for some time. Sometimes I just have to walk around stores to get ideas on how to fix what needs to be repaired. There's plenty of space to walk around and do that here. I should also mention that the store is very clean and neatly organized so that you can find what you're looking for. I will definitely be going back in the future for my hardware needs.

I'm treated with respect and given sound advice. For a small hardware store, I am always surprised that they have exactly what I need. Their employees are friendly and never treat me like a novice. I'd choose them over any of the big box stores, where someone inexperienced like me has to wander the enormous aisles over and over again to find someone to help me.

I still feel like I get a bargain because the sales people know their stuff more than any others I have met over the 37 years I have owned homes (that have needed lots of work!) -- and they care enough to share their knowledge, stating confidently the best product choice or guiding us through the pros and cons of various product options!! Over the years, the knowledgable and kind sales team has rescued me from numerous close calls, wrong decisions that could have really cost me. Rob (the manager) tops the list with knowing the right product for the application, sharing even the smallest details that contribute to the best result. Dave helped advise about doors/windows,trims, etc., and recently, Rich, the paint department manager, saved the day when a couple of painters proposed sanding our cedar shake shingles as part of stain prep and Rich correctly said never to do that, it would remove the shakes' texture and its natural beauty. I couldn't believe how $$ it was but I haven't bought paint I forever so I figured yikes but this must be what it costs. Today I used the paint. I am so disappointed in the lack of quality. I was painting white over another previously painted white that had yellow hue I did t like. So easy, right? White over white? Well it's going to need another coat. The paint had such high odor. I felt nauseous and had to stop .the paint didn't cover the molding nicely. It's got streaks , dark areas light areas. It splattered a little .I'll have to do the whole thing over again tomorrow. I plan on visiting the store to discuss a fair resolution. BTW sane paint $20 LESS at Home Depot.
