He should give tips to the two young ladies who were working in the store front. I came in and wasn't greeted at all. Two workers were engrossed in conversation about a party and I had to interrupt to ask a jewelry question. Two other shoppers came in and weren't greeted either. Yet, a friend of theirs walked in and there were squeals and hugs galore. I am all for employing energetic, fun youngsters, but not at the expense of making my customers feel unwelcome. I headed to Westport to The Post and bought everything I needed there. (And had lovely interaction with the staff!) Some cute items in store, but not worth feeling like I'm annoying or interrupting people when trying to make a purchase.

Today I brought three of them back bc the stitching that held the zippers in place had failed. The nice lady behind the counter who was courteous enough to hop off the phone when I entered explained, a bit uncomfortably but to the best of her ability, that the person who runs the workroom doesn't care to have used goods in her environs, and suggested I take them to my dry cleaner for repair. That's right, they don't care to work on "used goods," even when they are products of Good Goods! I don't see ourselves having many new custom pillows sewn in the near future, but I can tell you from which store I will NOT be buying them should the need arise. Too bad. Dan P.S. I…read morestarted looking for quality replacements on the Internet because I do not drive and it is difficult for me to get around. I found Oriental Furnishings and became intrigued. Their selection was amazing. However, most importantly was their reviews. Every one I read was favorable or better. (Yes they can be better than just 5 stars) I decided on 2 rosewood plant stands and a rosewood coffee table but I wasn't sure if the colors matched. So I called their phone number and spoke to Bill. (who I later discovered that he was an owner) He couldn't have been nicer. He listened to my needs and put me on hold to check if the colors matched and if they were still in stock. Within minutes he returned with "yes" to both questions. I had asked if it was possible to have the items delivered into my home since I am 69 years old and disabled. He said he would arrange it but it might take 2 weeks. I said fine and I was very satisfied. He called me the following week and said they could be delivered in 2 days, a Friday. That was fine with me. At approximately 11:00 am an SUV drove up to my home. It was my furniture. The gentleman knocked on my door and asked if I was expecting a delivery. I said yes and he started to bring them. I told him that Bill, who I spoke to on the phone, was a really nice guy and extremely helpful. He then introduced himself as Bill. He told me his driver didn't show up today so he drove from Connecticut to Long Island to deliver my furniture. Without me asking, he unpacked and checked everything to make sure they were ok. He even removed the packing material. I have to say, they were beautiful. The colors were perfect and I couldn't be happier. In this day and age it is very rare that you find someone that is so considerate and caring of others. My entire dealings with Oriental Furnishings was fantastic and I highly recommend that you look there for you Oriental furniture and decorating needs. You will not be sorry. If you remember, in the beginning of my review, I said a company could be better than 5 stars. Now you understand why. Bill was absolutely fantastic to work with and when it's times to purchase more furnishings, I will only use Oriental Furnishings!
