This is my favorite hometown hardware store. I have tried all the places in town, and these guys seem to have more of everything

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kristian Middlebrook, a color specialist and decorator…read moreat Ring's end and I couldn't be more impressed! I was feeling overwhelmed by the endless paint color choices, but Kristian's instincts were spot on. The man is the guru of hue! He quickly and confidently identified the perfect palette for my space and also advised on wallpaper as well. Beyond that, Kristian helped my partner and me select window treatments and even went the extra mile to deliver draperies to our home in Washington Heights. Aside from his excellent taste and eye for detail, Kristian is incredibly personable and just a joy to be around. I couldn't recommend him more highly - he truly made the decorating process so much easier and his advice and counsel have helped create a beautiful home. Thank you Kristian!

Someone suggested reaching out to Kristian Middlebrook at Ring's End to help me select paint colors. It was great, since he comes to your house and sees the space--something that's so important. I am incredibly grateful for him and can't imagine having done this project without his help. He is so talented and has such a knack for color selection. The colors were spot-on on the first try! He's basically like having your very own designer. We started with paint color, and I liked him so much that we moved on to wallpaper, then window treatments, and even fabric to recover two chairs. I love it all. In addition to his many talents, he is also a pleasure to work with and makes the process easy and fun. I can't say enough good things about Kristian--he is AMAZING!

I got some great customer service from Garfield in the lumber area and Baltazar in the general aisle area. Garfield cut down the board to the size and area that I needed them to fit into. Baltazar provided me with information that I asked about for another product and was also helpful in retrieving a price the board that I purchased. This was a very positive visit to this location because of those two gentleman's awesome assistance. Thanks for making this an easy visit for me.

I ordered some small supplies online and came to the store to pick them up. Nobody wanted to help…read moreme even though there were not other customers around. They paged "Hector" repeatedly while standing around and I eventually asked someone with a front desk clerk tag if he could help me. I think his name was W-----. His response: "why do you think they're paging Hector?" The he turned his back to me and walked away - with no work to actually do. Hector never came. Eventually a surly W----- came back with a clipboard and he ordered me to enter my order number into a screen kiosk. I asked him if I could please just give him my name. He said no, I had to enter the number. Then he turned to the man who had arrived and was waiting behind me for his last name, and then he went and got the man's order. The word for this is misogyny. This is why women hate coming to hardware stores: they are treated as if they are in the third-world, with disrespect and disregard. I won't be coming back.
