When the day of the move came, I was sent three wonderful guys who instantly felt like they were friends. They made what could've been a terrifyingly stressful experience into a fun (yes, I said fun) time, including helping me figure out where to put my things in my new place. I couldn't recommend this company enough!

They charged me an additional $1000 in overages after grossly underestimating the time to move a 4,000 sq ft house with a 45 min commute and letting them eat lunch. Yes, I questioned the only 8 hour estimate ... but they cited their expertise. I was also specifically instructed to leave dressers packed - which the movers themselves expressed frustration at ("they always tell people to do that and they shouldn't") which caused massive additional time wasted while they packed said dressers. Low and behold, move came in at 10 hours. I was informed I would be charged an extra $1000. I explicitly said on the phone and in two emails to both June and the owner NOT to charge me until we speak on the phone. They did not return my calls or my emails and billed my card. Quite frankly it's sad the movers work their butts off to be represented by dirty A%%(*&es

Diamond Consultants here. I will say that Ira is really nice, and so are most of his employees. They helped me empty my truck, and did their best to make sure my items were headed to the right place. But, like most scrapyards, they pay bupkis here. I am NOT a scrapper, I just go here to throw away large appliances for a few bucks instead of actually PAYING a dump to take them away. Better than nothing, I guess. I once had two refrigerators... Got $9.25. Not exactly a living wage unless you can find 16 busted appliances a day. Also, they do not close at 3PM. They close at 2:45. I once came at 2:50, and while they were happy to take my scrap metal for free, they wouldn't weigh my truck for the few dollars I would have received. I use my truck for work, and could not spend the night with a bunch of junk in it. You're probably better off throwing your metal on the curb and putting up a Craigslist ad... some scrapper will take it in less than 24 hours. Not really worth the trip here unless you somehow came across a bin full of pure copper.
