Before the movers had left our new home, I pointed out a problem with a stainless steel cabinet. Pictures were taken and over the next 2 months multiple text messages were exchanged. I would never recommend using JMG based on my experience.

It was a small house I moved into and was nervous on how I should arrange items. The crew was great and gave me great suggestions. At 81, I was worried about some of the old furniture that had been my mom's. They treated everything with care and wrapped all so there wouldn't be any damage, In 1 1/2 hours all was unloaded, items put back together and not a piece was damaged. Colonial Movers were good to their word on the cost, time arrival to my condo and the expertise of their men. It was my pleasure to buy this crew breakfast on the trip to NY. I would recommend Colonial Movers in Berlin,Ct to anyone who has thoughts of moving. I gave them a list of what I was moving so when they arrived they were equipped. My rating is a 10+ on cost, quality of the crew and especially no hidden cost. To all involved thankyou from this 81 year old man. Ron Kokofsky Peru NY

We are sorry to say that the quality of RT Relocation moving service was below standard. Please…read morenote that despite close to $15,000 in moving expenses with this company and their assurance of safe delivery of several heirlooms, China and furniture, they arrived damaged. They stated that since we packed it ourselves and we also marked our totes as fragile, that waives their responsibility and compensation. Then why pay for packing material? I could supply more pics of other broken items but, one can see the damage. They dumped all the items from our bureaus into a box with no packaging material. They stated during the quote process that they would just wrap these pieces. This move was a complete nightmare! Their third party claims review is only compensating $79 for all the damage. This doesn't even cover the hole in the wall that the movers did in our new bedroom hallway. If you are in the market for white glove delivery, RT Relocation is not a company I would recommend.

HORRIBLE NEVER SHOWED UP I hired them for a move from a…read moreone bedroom apartment in New London to a storage unit. I am clearing the apartment for my son who is in the hospital. I live and hour away from New London and drove there to be on time for a 10:00 move . I was notified by text by the actual guy doing the heavy lifting that there would be a two hour delay. Ok I drove an hour so I waited . The next texted said that they were further delayed because the job they were at was a 4 person job and the "boss " had only sent two of them and there would be another hour or so delay. He assured me they would get to me that day. At this point I asked to have the "boss" call me he never did. So I called U Hall who referred me to movinghelp.com the site they post on the U Hall website. Movinghelp.com told me that their listings were advertisements not recommendations ( good to know) but they would contact the "boss" and have him call me. He never did. Around 3:30 I got ahold of the poor guy doing the actual work who said they would be done with the job they were at in around an hour and it would be an hour and sixteen minutes to get to me and by that time it would be dark so no move. Did I mention this was all happening December 23 two days before Christmas . I wasted an entire day waiting for First Class Movers to show up. I understand things happen but honestly they could have canceled at any point before 3:30 after I had been waiting all day. And what kind of "boss" does not return a call and makes his workers string someone along all day. So my son is still in the hospital the move needs to happen on Tuesday and NO CLASS MOVERS has not contact me to apologize and make things right. MY ADVICE DONT EVEN CONSIDER FIRST CLASS MOVERS

When I said something, the mover immediately stopped and apologized, recognizing that it was inappropriate. I have since reached out to Brandon, the owner of the company, by text message, left a voicemail on a couple occasions, and wrote through the website asking to address it with photographic evidence. It's been over a week and a half, and he is clearly ignoring me. I am filing a complaint with the BBB next and will continue to leave reviews until this company repairs the damage they caused. The sad part is that I thought the movers overall worked hard and did a good job in other respects. I realize that the damage came from being tired at the end of a long day, but the fact is that your movers caused it, and part of what I paid for in working with you is an insured company that would cover any damage to the premises.
