I cannot believe this location is rated under 2 stars. They were super accommodating and customer service friendly. Every issue I had the attendant tried to make me happy. That's really all you can ask for. I also used this place for my wedding and had no issues. The two stores I went to before this one was horrible. They deserve 1 star. I rented a tuxedo here for my wedding and absolutely terrible customer service and professionalism. Once my tuxedo was ready, i was notified and attempted to pick it up however, the manager wanted to close early and insisted i not try on the tuxedo because the measurements were correct. I actually had to justify my schedule the following day to him to clarify why i couldn't come back if there was an issue. i was finally allowed to try on the tux and alas, the pants were hemmed an inch too short. fast forward the next day after i rearranged my schedule, i tried the pants on and they were too overly baggy and not presentable by no means and required additional alterations. overall, two additional alterations outside of the original measurements and when i confront the manager about the issue, asking about a courtesy discount in a humble way.. after all, i had 5 groomsman in my wedding and gave him good business.. he came off as arrogant and quickly dismissed it. There are many choices out there when you need to rent a tuxedo for your special day and it should be a positive experience; this store should not be considered based on the lack of skill and customer experience. read more

Went to the Co-op City location of Men's Wearhouse to get a shirt to match a suit that I already have. I was lucky enough to be assisted by Paris. She couldn't have been more helpful. As I have terrible fashion sense, she helped me pick out a nice color shirt to match my suit. She then took the time to look through a huge pile of shirts until she found the proper size. I normally detest shopping for clothing. But Paris made it a quick and pleasant experience. read more

This location is horrible. We've used them a few times, mainly because there was no other option and it was convenient for all parties involved. The first time we turned to Men's Warehouse was for my wedding. We set up my husband's tux, as well as the suits for the groomsmen and ring bearer. If I remember correctly, we had a pretty decent experience. I'm chalking that up to the fact that it was an season and not at all busy during that time of year. My husband also scored a three-piece suit for free since the entire grooms party got their suits at the same place. It was convenient for the groomsmen who were out of town; they basically found a location closer to their home and ordered the same suit and we're able to drop it off at the one here, in the Bronx, after the wedding. The second time was last year for my cousin's wedding. My husband was a groomsman for that wedding and I was a bridesmaid. My brother-in-law had difficulty with his suit. The sizing was off and he was stuck with a vest that was way too big. We recently came back again this week to rent a suit for my son who's prom is fast approaching. When we arrived, we made it all the way to the back of the store before someone told us to put our names on the list in the front of the store. This was my first issue during this visit. There were employees all over the front of the store and not one ask us if we needed help until they thought we were there to buy a suit. Unless you wanted to buy, those dapper dudes in the back didn't touch you. They just tell you to wait in the front with the younger staff member that are obviously placed there to deal with the rentals regardless off whether or not it's overwhelming. With that said, we proceeded to put our names down and waited. There were five people ahead of us. We waited for thirty minutes before someone called my son's name and then one guy took his measurements haphazardly, next to the sign-in sheet, in the front of the store and surrounded by all the other patrons. We wait some more and then another guy gave us a form to fill out. My son misunderstood because the employee failed to explain that he only had to fill out his personal info. Since it took a few more seconds to complete correctly, they took the next person. Nice. So, we waited another fifteen minutes and finally it's our turn. Their entire system was inefficient. There was no rhyme or reason as to how they were helping people. We have all of our paperwork in order and all we needed was to order and pay but instead, they jump us again and took a group of women who were planning a wedding. Their order was so elaborate and they didn't even have an idea of what they wanted so, again, we waited. Someone finally took us and that person didn't know how to ring up our order. We ran out of there once we completed our order. My husband brought my son back to pick up the suit and luckily we had no problems with the fit. Unfortunately, another boy who was there was upset because his suit was a few sizes to big. They just don't have their stuff together and TBH, you're probably just better of buying a decent suit and tailoring it to you. It would probably be cheaper and look way better. read more

First off, I don't understand why you are required to make an appointment online if it isn't honored. We stood around waiting for 30 minutes before someone finally attended to us. Once we finally selected the style we liked for our wedding group, the correct information was not inputted onto the computer. Despite us writing everything down on paper, they still misspelled our groomsmen's names, inputted no rental information for 3 of the guys, and did not even input the correct suit styles! Before going to this store, we were interested in purchasing a tux. But after the employee gave us one style that we didn't ask for, and took off without asking us our opinion or measuring the groom-to-be, we knew we couldn't continue to do our business there. Thank goodness that their online employees helped us to fix some of our order. You would think that you wouldn't have these problems if you spend 2.5 hours. read more

If I can give this place a -100 I would! The event was for my son's prom. I went in the store on 5-12-2018. I was helped by the tuxedo manager by the name of Jose. What I requested was a slim fit style (1859) we choose, he didn't ask questions and Jose proceeded to take my son measurements not a very warm manager. I am not the professional here. I told him it was for prom and he didn't really explained in details about the break down of the rental. He just stated the suit would be ready 2 days prior to the event and drop off is the next day from the event. When I got home and looked at my bill, I saw the date of the event wasn't the same date as I wrote in the form. And then he placed a rush fee that he did not make me aware of and if maybe he did, I wouldn't be writing this message... The next day I had to call to change the information, first to get in touch with the store is an headache. I got in touch with the manager and informed them about the mistake, he corrected and ask if he can call me back to make sure of the dates and I questioned about the rush fee and the manager Jose said he will take it off from the bill. Jose was suppose to call me back and never did. I had to call back and make sure the dates where corrected and in the system. Fast forward 5-30-18 I went to go pick up my son suit, once again the manager Jose helped us but still not very warming and I felt like I was treated like I was from the street, no eye contact, didn't really care my son tried on the suit. And I was extremely disappointed the suit wasn't fitted at all. The pants was baggy, the vest was huge on him. The only thing that was fine was the shirt and shoes. When he was assisting someone else shorter then the young man came out the fitting room with the pants fitted and the length was just right and actually complemented the young man. Jose didn't even check my son thoroughly. Jose was trying to justify to me how my son was skinny, which has nothing to do with the length of the pants. I stated I wasn't happy and I need the pants to get fixed he told my son to get dressed again and he will change it and spoke with an attitude. He told me I can come the next day which I did since my son prom is on Friday. I come the next day which is Thursday. Thank god Jose was not there so another gentleman assisted and he was really polite. When my son tried on the pants it was better but now the buckle of the left side of his pants was not closing, at this point I am sooooo frustrated. This is part of the details Jose should have noticed yesterday when my son had the Tuxedo on. The gentleman that was assisting me notified me that he could have went upstairs to see if the big boy tuxedo would have fitted him since my son was small. I didn't even get that option and I would have paid much less than I did with this tuxedo. The assistant manager only gave me 10 dollars off of my whole order. Which is unacceptable. Sometimes they try to push more purchases. If I was not aware of national consumer spending and the current subprime mortgage crunch, I, too, would buy everything in the store. I have to push the wolves back and let them know that I am here to buy what I came to buy... nothing else! Belts, shoes, socks. They guys dictate the rules. But when you leave, you feel educated and at least have the opportunity to be better dressed. They help men put it all together. Their consultants provide expert fashion advice and their tailors make sure everything fits perfectly. The tailor is good. They do charge extra if you bring in an non-MW suit to be fitted. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE + LAZINESS So we went in for my friend's wedding Tuxes. It takes 2 hours to wait. We go a second time for the fitting, another 2 hours. The shirt he gave my friend had threads hanging from every button. Pants had about 20 breaks in them. They bring out this tailor guy who says he will get right on it. We go a 3rd time to pick them up and waited another hour or so. The pants haven't even been tailored. So these people have the nerve to attempt at lecturing us about the mistakes that they had made. If I could give this place a 0 Star I would. Plain and simple they suck. They just suck!!! Place a order for the wedding for my groomsmen and they all got tailored 6 weeks before the big day . They told them to come back 2 days before the wedding for pick up. They all went Wednesday ( wedding on Friday) everyone tux was screwed up. The measurements were wrong. One of the men had high water pants and jacket sleeve stopping near his forearm. Tried to give every excuse and even told two of the guys to come back Friday afternoon for the new tux. We had to curse them out because our wedding was Friday. If you going to mess up someone order at lest have them pick it up the week before the wedding just in case changes needed to be made. First and foremost I'd like to state that I've experienced bad customer service in the past, however never bad enough to feel so compelled to leave a Yelp review. I'm a proud resident of the Bronx, but I do not like conducting business in the Bronx and this Men's Warehouse exemplifies why. I got married back in May and I needed an affordable place to get the suits for my groomsmen and also some pants for myself seeing as how I already had the jacket I was going to get married in. Some of the groomsmen had issues, but none too drastic. The first issue I had with the customer service was the gentleman arguing with me about what I said I needed. I'm a big guy, but I still prefer my clothes more fitted than baggy. So I expressed to him that I needed the pants to be slim fit to which he replied "No, you're big like me, it won't look good if we go slim" Dude, I'll be 32 next month and I've been overweight for the better portion of two decades, I Know how I want my clothes to fit. I hate being told what I want/need, especially when it comes to the clothes I'm going to wear. So I insisted that the pants be tapered to my legs either way. Sure enough when I came to pick up the pants, just a few days before having to board a plane to reach my destination wedding, they were as big as MC Hammer's pant at the bottom. I asked if they could be altered by the next day or the day after and was told No. I ended up having to have my pants altered in Puerto Rico where I was getting married. Thank God for that because otherwise I would have looked ridiculous. Still wasn't enough for me to think of writing a review, I simply stated to myself and my wife "I won't be doing business with Men's Warehouse anymore" but then my phone rang! Lol. It was someone from Men's Warehouse expressing to me that as a thank you for my business I was being offered a promotion where I could take $400 store credit, a free suit or some other offer that I forget. So I said "Sure, I'll take the free suit" So I come in, and the same gentleman that didn't want to give me the slim fit pants is short with me, possibly because it's close to closing time. I've worked in retail so I know this frustration well, however there was still 30 or so minutes left in the business day and therefore I wasn't expecting to be rushed or to be treated as some sort of burden. I finally get him to listen to me and tell him that I was offered a promotion and that I was there to pick up. He sends me to the person who is in charge of that sort of thing and we begin. They tell you it's a custom suit but really the options are as limited as the sales associates patience for customers. Finally I pick the suit, and I'm told I can come in for a final fitting once it comes into the store. This time I emphasize that I need the pants to be tapered. The tailor sighs very loudly as and just marks the pants with such discontent. Now remember, I told you in the beginning, I'm from the Bronx, so my initial instinct was to confront him with a very disrespectful demeanor, but I went back to the thought I had prior: "I won't be doing business with Men's Warehouse anymore." I picked the suit up this passed Sunday and didn't even bother to try it on. I hung it up at the back of my closet and because of the experience I may not ever even wear it. So if you find yourself in MW at any point, please remember this review. I'm only doing this so that no one else goes through what I did. I'm not a huge stickler for great customer service, most times I couldn't care less, but this was just excessive in my opinion. Best of Luck to All! read more

Also to get my 2 year old a suit which had to be ordered everything went alright until the following week when our suit were ready and the babies suit never came showed. The repersenitive for mens wear house named louis couldnt give a promise time on which the suit would arrive and also had a attitude with myself and mother in law. Can I give 0 stars? If I could, I would. I have never seen such horrible customer service. I went to Men's Wearhouse on Bartow Avenue in the Bronx, with my son to rent 2 tuxes for proms. There were 3 other young men also renting tuxes at the time. The service that we received was horrendous - if you could even call it service. The workers just ignored us. They did not answer any questions. They did not explain anything. As a matter fact, I was asking the other customers about the different styles and the prices, and the customers were answering each other's questions. The staff just continued to ignore all of us. The young lady was helping one young man. But there is no reason why she couldn't pick her head up and answer our questions, or explain to the entire group about tuxedo styles, prices etc. I even told another customer about the coupon on your website and he logged on and downloaded it while we were standing there. Once again the clerk did not even pick up her head - and we were all within 3 feet of each other! She acted as if we were not even there. One older gentleman measured my son. I asked him a question about the different style jackets, and with a nasty response he said "I do not do tuxes, I am just trying to help her". I asked him another question and he responded "like I said, I do not do tuxes." Very nasty. They act as if you owe them something. I picked up a suit jacket to see what size it was, and that is when the girl apparently noticed that there were customers next to her. She walked over to me took it out of my hand, hung it on a hanger and hung it on the rack. How do you take merchandise out of the customer's hand?! She didn't say a word. She just took it out of my hand as if I were a child. I've never experienced such horrible service. Finally when the person before me was about to be helped, the worker stated that the $99 tuxedo that had been advertised, was not available in the store for him to try on. He would just have to order it and he was not able to see what it actually looks like in person. It was at that point that I realized this was a bait and switch and I walked out the door. After waiting over an hour for someone to help us, we walked out. I took my business to a wonderful family owned tuxedo shop in Yonkers and was treated much better. The price was exactly the same as Men's Wearhouse, and the service was fantastic! I will never step foot in Men's Wearhouse again. What a disgrace. This is truly the worst place to go. Although it might be convenient, the frustration is not worth it. When you go there the service is horrible. They act as if you owe them something although your paying hundreds of dollars at any given time. The sale associates as well as the managers there are incompetent. I purchased suits online from men's wear house and figured I would run up to this location on Bartow Avenue and get the tailoring done. I purchased 3 suits and a blazer from this company. I walked in and mind you the sales people were just standing around running their mouths, at that time it was NOT busy at all, even for a Saturday afternoon. I spoke and some woman looked at me like I was interrupting her conversation! It's your job, stop jaw jacking and get to work! I had to say it twice, " I'm here to get alterations" , after it finally registered to the two nonchalant space wasters I was a customer, the young man decides to point to the back and say, " push one of the doors open and try the suit on, I'll call up to the tailor" I guess it would've been too much for one of them to guide me to the fitting room , instead I was given the finger to just "push " a door open and try it on. The tailor finally appears after I stood there for 5 minutes. He was friendly, but seemed to be in a rush, after I tried the first suit, and he makes the markings for alteration, he shakes my hand and gets ready to walk off! I had to tell him I have more suits. He apologized and said ok, but then the jaw jacking customer sales person decides to tell me, " yeah he's busy working upstairs" I don't care! I purchased my suits from your company and I'm spending more money by letting your company tailor my suits! Everything was a rush, and like I said, it wasn't busy at all! There was 4 or 5 of them yapping up front near the tuxedo renting area. They need to be taught real customer service, or get rid of them and start over. This place is very unorganized. I visited here with my fiance because something went wrong with his tuxedo rental and they needed him to come back. He made an appointment, which I don't know what is the point of making appointments because he wasn't seen until 45mins to an hour later. It's more like first to walk in first served--whether you have an appointment or not. The gentleman who finally assisted apologized and gave us some excuse as to why it was taking so long, but seriously this location needs to hire more employees. I've seen how busy this place can get and the amount of employees they have cannot keep up with the amount of customers that were there that day. Also I noticed some employees just standing around because I guess they are separated by department. Um, if you see one department starting to become overloaded with customers and your department doesn't have any customers, how about you stop standing around and help out with the workload? Just my opinion. And it's also frustrating how my fiance and groomsmen weren't able to get everything done in their first visit because of how unorganized this men's wearhouse is. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong but my fiance told me that it was like a scene from hell trying to get everything done and the lack of organization didn't make it any better. I will say we have been to one other men's wearhouse and they were awesome, so the whole chain isn't completely unorganized like this. It just depends on the location. Went to get a suit to get married in and we stood there in the middle of the floor WAITING for about 15 minutes before even asked if we needed help. Finally got a salesman to help. Everything was going well picked out a nice suit felt and looked good. I needed it by Thursday the pants just needed to be Hemmed everything seemed ok. The suit was a little pricey but it looked good so I was willing to shell out the extra cash. I asked if I can put a deposit I need the suit for pick up Thursday. I go to leave my deposit tried to make sure it was going to be ready by Thursday. Same sales man I believe named Eduardo tells me I have to pay it in full to have it ready for Thursday. HUH? I said that won't work I'll have the balance on Thursday when I come to pick up he says NO they won't hem the pants till paid in full. I'm like ok can it get done Thursday he says it can be 30 minutes to a couple of days again HUH? I said that won't work he tells the cashier give him his money back rudely and walks away. The gentlemen behind me thought it was STUPID as well and Eduardo was a little rude and also walked out with me. Nice suits CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!! You should be a little more accommodating. I went with my boyfriend to look for suits for a wedding that we are attending next week in Puerto Rico. We walked in and I swear we might as well have been ghosts. No one greeted us nor did they acknowledge us. We even walked to the front registers where two workers were there and they never even made eye contact. We stood around looking for help but no one said nada. Even looking dead at us or walking by. Later, after 10 minutes Another group of people walked in and received immediate attention. I am never one to pull a race card because that's not who I am and the workers were varied races. I am unsure what the issue was but I do know I will never spend my money at that place. Went w/ hubby to purchase suits- the sales people ignored us for the first five min. Then one over zealous gentleman pounced. I don't mind helpful but I can't stand PUSHY SALESMEN. Every suit he ( my husband)looked @ was $300 more than what the sale price stated according to the salesman. Decided after we bought the suits that just maybe I'd give them a chance to redeem themselves- and maybe buy a tie- clip to go w/ the suits- it was worst behavior when went to pick the suits up a week later. 7 of them stood around & then decided to help us but tried to tell us we were too late to pick them up wrong again!!!
