That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. I didn't go to my prom because I wanted to celebrate it in my own way. I didn't want anything too flashy and chose a simple red dress. I brought it to veras corner ( btw be on time!! Bc I was not . They are punctual but won't be too mad if you are late.) and they did an amazing job!!! They even called me to come back to the place after I dropped it off because they thought there was a stain and they wanted me to check it out. Turns out it was just my sweat and I was taken a back by how serious they were. The dress came back so lovely, better than I expected so I recommend this place!! Also a few pointers, you need to bring back the receipt so they can find your item. If you do forget just give them your phone number ( they will ask for it when you are paying ). Another thing to keep in mind is if you're getting a dress tailored, bring the shoes you will wear so they know the exact measurement. Lastly the dressing area is pretty tiny but it's not bad, so just keep that in mind. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vera's place and I must say it was an absolute gem of a place. Vera is truly a magic maker! I had a dress that needed altering and she was able to size it down while still keeping the structure of the dress intact. Vera's prices are reasonable but it's the quality of her work and her exceptional service that deserves the credit. When I saw the dress after the alteration, it looked like it was made just for me! This is a great Mom & Pop establishment. Owners were very nice and helpful. I had 3 suits (2 were 3-piece..). 2 out of three, I had altered/tailored at the waist and hemmed and both jacket arms lengthened. All three were dry-cleaned/pressed. Decent pricing and they had the order ready to go within a short time frame. Everything fit well. Would definitely recommend them and will continue to go to them for future business. Best tailor I've been to in years. I dropped off a pair of jeans needing shortening. Not only were they fixed but she re-attached the original hem so it looked seamless like they did when I purchased them. Vera does some amazing work and can handle any request. read more

I dropped off a stack of clothes about two weeks ago, and picked up this afternoon. Upon arriving home, I realized that my white blouse (a white button up, long sleeve) had yellow streaks on both sleeves as well as sporting on the front by the collar. The shirt did not have stains before I brought it in and I asked for a dry cleaning. I took the shirt back about 10 minutes later. The woman proceeded to tell me that the shirt was like that when I brought it in (a $200 shirt in like new condition). She would not take accountability for the staining and insisted that I did not know what I was talking about--as though I didn't know what my own clothes looked like before I brought them in. She gave me my $8 back unprompted and commented that she could try stain removal AGAIN. This wasn't an "again" situation--there was not significant yellowing to the top before I brought it there. I walked out, and went to another cleaner/tailor. This individual confirmed my suspicion: given the extent of the yellowing, it's likely that the blouse reacted to something applied to it during cleaning. I should have known better--just two months ago, the sleeve of another sweater was damaged here following a repair (I didn't complain then because it was minor, but I should have). Based on my experience today, I do not believe that this business respects its customers and stands by its services. I hope that others have better luck.

Upon dropping off your item(s), auto texts are instantly sent acknowledging receipt of your item, payment and anticipated pickup date.
