Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with this business. I've been bringing my clothes here…read morefor about 2 years and I've spent hundreds of dollars for dry cleaning and minor alterations during that period. I dropped off a stack of clothes about two weeks ago, and picked up this afternoon. Upon arriving home, I realized that my white blouse (a white button up, long sleeve) had yellow streaks on both sleeves as well as sporting on the front by the collar. The shirt did not have stains before I brought it in and I asked for a dry cleaning. I took the shirt back about 10 minutes later. The woman proceeded to tell me that the shirt was like that when I brought it in (a $200 shirt in like new condition). She would not take accountability for the staining and insisted that I did not know what I was talking about--as though I didn't know what my own clothes looked like before I brought them in. She gave me my $8 back unprompted and commented that she could try stain removal AGAIN. This wasn't an "again" situation--there was not significant yellowing to the top before I brought it there. I walked out, and went to another cleaner/tailor. This individual confirmed my suspicion: given the extent of the yellowing, it's likely that the blouse reacted to something applied to it during cleaning. I should have known better--just two months ago, the sleeve of another sweater was damaged here following a repair (I didn't complain then because it was minor, but I should have). Based on my experience today, I do not believe that this business respects its customers and stands by its services. I hope that others have better luck.

This cleaners has been here for many years, family owned and in this community really appreciated. I'm used to bringing my clothes to Showcase Cleaners around the block so I was hesitant to come here and later on had reason. My first experience they had a burned hole in my favorite sweater jacket... smh. I expressed it to them and they said it was that way when I brought it in. What!? I would've thrown it out if that was the case... I would not bother to pay money to have you clean and press a item that had a burnt hole smh. I was livid!! They refused to reimburse and I promised not to return... Well one day I really needed some shirts cleaned and tailored correctly for an upcoming event and Showcase Cleaners were really busy and told me it would not be ready until 3days. No way =\ ... Thought of this one and headed right over. Thankfully they could do it the same day, clothes were really clean and this time no burn marks. Thank Goodness!! I've used them twice since and still pretty good. I hope it remains that way!

There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap. To be clear, here are my issues: 1. An attempt was made to overcharge me. 2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism. 3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay. We really have to stop letting business come into neighborhoods and taking advantage of residents. I will never be back and caution everyone else to triple check your bill. Finally, I have attached a pic so that it's who I am referring to.

This review addresses the pricing and not the quality of work which I understand they have been…read moreawarded for. I brought in a jumpsuit for minor underarm repairs (about 1 inch on each side) and basic cleaning. I was quoted $32 for the repairs and $25 for cleaning--a total of $57 for a single garment. They also wanted to charge $20 just to remove some lint from a coat on top of the cleaning. I did not leave the coat as the quote for cleaning and lint removal was more than the coat is now worth. It's clear these people will charge as much as they can. Unfortunately, there are few cleaners in Harlem, but at this rate, I'd rather travel across state lines to New Jersey. Ridiculous! I did not leave the coat for service, as I could not justify paying these fees. But I did pay $57 for the jumpsuit because I had to have it repaired ASAP. If you're looking for fair pricing for basic repairs or cleaning, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
