We went in, said hello, mentioned we were looking for Indian wedding clothes. When my husband found something he wanted to try, Ruchi responded and said "you cannot try that on. You said you are just looking, not buying right?" My husband responded by saying "How could I know if I'm buying something if I don't try it on?" She reiterated that since he had stated he was "just looking" that he would not be allowed to try any clothes on. At that point we realized we would not want to shop/buy anything there so we left the store. Thankfully, across the street at Vintage India a very nice young lady assisted us and we had great success in trying on/buying several outfits as was our goal. Ruchi could not have been more rude in response to our friendly hello. It was very upsetting and unexpected. Unclear if she was racist? We are Asian American...perhaps she dislikes Chinese people? Just bizarre and have never been treated so poorly before. We will never step back into this store again!

I called November 16, 2025, inquiring if there were any suit sales occurring before Black Friday. The female associate I spoke to obviously did not know, and stated to check online at the end of the coming week or the week of Thanksgiving. There ended up being a sale from the 17th - 19th that I didn't see because I didn't check back... as directed...until Wednesday. I went to the store November 22, 2025, and the male associate I dealt with had me try on a Pronto Uomo suit jacket, the brand I stated I wanted, and then tried to switch me during fitting to a Joseph Abboud suit during the fitting process, which was a more expensive suit, and not the suit I had asked for. The whole process felt both slimy and deceptive. I will not even consider Men's Wearhouse for clothing purchases in the future. It looks like it's time to try online tailors like MTailor.com. I'm not going to be treated like I was at MW and pay a premium for the opportunity.

I especially appreciate that once you've bought your first suit with them every one afterward is super easy. You just stroll in pick fabrics and can be out in 15 minutes. In a few weeks you get a suit that is 100% exactly like the last one. The consistency in their product is super valuable. And McGregor and Melissa are super attentive to details so if after a couple years you need a small tweak here or there on a suit to get it fit a smidge better because you've gained or lost some weight, they do that in a flash. It's a truly fantastic experience and product. I will concede that last year I tried a Hong Kong tailor that was highly recommended and was just so disappointed after I got the suit. One of those times where I felt really silly for wasting money when I already knew where to get the best suits from. I won't make that mistake again, and just ordered a couple new suits from HM this week.

I knew about Hall Madden from their days as Proper Cloth and also wanted the in store experience and personal touch of a stylist that could make sure the fit was correct and could show me the fabrics in person. I felt good after the first session where I was measured and picked out my fabric and fit, then just a couple weeks later I had my first try-on and the fit was great. Only a couple modifications all handled by my final fitting. You also have the option to have the final garment tailored as part of the price which is nice as well. In my experience somewhere like Suitsupply will sell you a low cost suit and make up for it by charging way too much for alterations. Highly recommend HM whether you're looking for your first custom suit, or have tried other methods and looking for a great all around experience.
