The first rule in customer service is to acknowledge the customer. The lady stated that they were busy so they couldn't greet us. Long story short, I had a wedding dress, not originally from Galia Lahav, and had issues throughout the alterations process. I had gone to Galia Lahav and explained to them my situation and within SIX WEEKS of my wedding they were able to pull some amazing strings. They had the gown shipped from Tel Aviv to California where I was moving only four weeks out from my wedding. The gown shipped, and I tried it on for the first time just over two weeks from my wedding date. To say the gown was perfect, was an understatement. I didn't need a single alteration other than hemming. I would recommend this duo and store over and over again !

The fitting "area" didn't have a mirror so note it's more challenging to closely inspect the dress on your own. Definitely overpriced for very limited selection, which lacked variety. Was surprised that samples were often only priced maybe $500 off the "original price" (questionable if the listed original prices were even accurate, seems inflated, so hardly any cost savings). Many of the dresses were barely more than 20% off, most lower. They do have a small selection (1 rack) of plus sized dresses, although I didn't look through them but something to consider if you fall into that size range. Most of the dress sizes in bridal sizes 8-12, which had several racks. Hastily purchased a gown that I do regret. Note their policy of final sale, no exchanges. They do not take walk ins, but I called day of and received a same day appointment. I guess if you're desperate for a last minute dress with not many options, this places fills a role as you may find something to settle on. Apparently they have independent tailors they work with in store who they claim can quickly do last minute alterations as well but I cannot speak to the quality of said work and I see reviews questioning the quality. I also noticed they handle sales tax in an unusual way, which others may want to be aware of. Wouldn't say this is worth including in your journey to finding a gown in NYC unless you've run out of options.

Communication throughout the process was also great. I enjoyed that they have you try on a slip and take your measurements before bringing you dresses. This ensures they are closer to your actual size to give you a more realistic and accurate look of what the dress would look like on you. This is the only bridal salon who did this, which I really apprecaited it. The dress selection is more limited compared to some other bridal salons since they carry their own line, but the dresses they do have are beautiful and very true to the Grace Loves Lace style. I appreciated the follow-up communication with my measurements and favorite style/accessories. I ultimately went with a different dress, but I had a really lovely experience and appreciated how kind and helpful Alli was. I had been to places before but never alone as I wanted to focus on what I actually liked and Alli, along with the other women working, were extremely supportive! Highly recommend!

I reside in New York and wanted to check the dress out once more before submitting my final purchase. On a whim, I called the SoHo shop and they graciously said I could come in that evening for 15 minutes since I already knew which dress I wanted (this is different than their usual requirement of a 1-hour window, which I could not have managed with my work schedule). When I arrived, I met with Davia and she was so friendly and sweet. She immediately offered me champagne and took me and my roommate to the back bridal area. I tried on the gown and immediately knew it was the one. She helped me accessorize and was very encouraging and helpful throughout the experience. Although I did not purchase the dress from this shop (the in-state tax made it much more expensive), I would highly recommend this shop for future brides.
