I was asking questions and Darren tossed this jacket on me to show me the difference in designers and cuts.

Victor Talbots??? It all started 18 months ago when Darren sold me my first piece of what I would be addicted to, suit, well it was actually a tuxedo for my wedding. The service they give would make you go on a shopping spree and easily can be blind with the prices. People need to understand in this industry, actually in this WORLD, you pay for what you get! Quality over Quantity. I am 29 years old and I work in the hospitality business and Victor and his team dress me to the 9, well 10 lol. They do alterations there and they are good for life! You can let your suits, shirts, anything tailored that you bought from them be and its free for life. May I just add, the sales team teaches you style, taught me what to look for and how to feel in a suit. They also come through for my weekend wedding work, and tailored my work tux to look like its $$$$ when it's just a $100 outfit. The cashier girl, twins, are so sweet and always compliment you on anything your wearing even if it wasn't bought from them. You must go here if you are like me and don't want to wear the same pattern, style, that everyone has and bought at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales. Suits are $800 and up (comes with alterations that would be $400+ separately). Ties are $200+ Dress shirts vary. They carry all great brands but the best brand in the shop is there own, Victor Talbots. Also, they have there own cologne!! Very impressed with this place on Glencove road, and there is a great restaurant around the corner on 7acres of lush gardens called The Swan Club :) Def the best of the best.. No questions asked, just stop in by a tie, just to see the quality, and i will promise you it will be your favorite in your closet for many years!!! Or until you get another one at Victors! Lol.

Words can't describe how happy we were with the service! They made us feel like we we're home surrounded by family! So glad we chose to come here for our wedding! My husband and I walked in one rainy day in search of a place to rent a grooms tux and were greeted by Enzo. He was dressed sharp and tailored with not a hair or thread out of place. Turns out all the staff is like that and they always look like that. Then and there i knew this place would be on top of their service and merchandise. You can easily see that they withhold an image of professionalism, and that they were proud and dedicated to their company's appearance. I was taken back by how clean and organized the shop is and how friendly the staff was. We were offered water and espresso ( which is DELICIOUS). Enzo took care of us as if we were family. He focused on every detail and made sure every piece of my husbands tux was perfect. The tailor as well who we met in person was a perfectionist and made sure he did things as many times as needed to leave it seamless and perfect. We decided to buy my husbands tux and brought our fathers grandfathers and groomsmen here. The service was spot on. We all were comfortable and were given undivided attention. Everyone the night of looked sharp. Even the gentlemen that rented the tuxs looked amazing. They focus on detail and fit so that the rental looks like a custom made tux and that was a blessing. Our ring bearer stole the show looking like james bond! Highly recommend their white evening jacket rental for kids! It was stunning. My husband is so excited to go back for a few suites for upcoming events. I definitely feel like home there. They even couldn't wait to see our pictures when we dropped off rental items the day after. They are truly one of a kind sweethearts there. To the owners, tailors, Enzo and entire staff, thank you for your kindness and professionalism. You will be recommended for life! See you soon! Love always, Mr & Mrs J and N Fernandez (:

Third time to rent a tux here. Never disappointed. You get more than your money's worth.

Unfortunately, my friends and I stopped in blindly. The owner followed my friends and me at a very close distance, with an egregiously strong cigarette odor. I tried on a long necklace I was interested in purchasing, and I wrapped the length of it around my neck. She said "leave it long" like an order, I explained I wouldn't style it that way, and she was handling it while it was on my body. Her behavior made me feel violated. She said my style is "arbitrary." After that, she took any other item I picked up and put them behind the counter as if I was not allowed to buy the merchandise. To another employee she said, "I don't know why these girls are even in here" and said to me, "Why are you trying everything on? Everything is beautiful. Everything is beautiful." I just had tried on two necklaces. No signage, mirrors everywhere, it was unclear why trying items on annoyed her. I am in disbelief that reviews describing similar experiences date as far back as 11 years and this place is still in business. It was just so unpleasant. It was bizarre. No one should spend money in a place where they are treated this way. Avoid this place if you expect basic respect as a customer.

I'm making the best effort to write reviews going forward, as I myself often rely on Yelp reviews…read morewhen visiting an establishment. With that said, I wish I can give this store 1/2 of a star on customer service experience alone. But please note, this is the customer service experience from someone who is black, and in my experience today, my race mattered. It's not from an angle of paranoia, but from straight facts of what occurred. My husband and I visited this location TJMaxx store, as we have in the past, and enjoy the selection here. While shopping, my husband found what was a good deal: a 24" checkered Ben Sherman suitcase on clearance for $56. I informed him to check the wheels and open the bag to make sure they're no issues. While opening the bag, the price ticket was attached to the zipper and fell off. Jokingly, I said to my husband, "hope they don't give you any issues when you go to pay." Boy was my foreshadowing correct! Since we were still shopping, he brought he suitcase to the front and asked that they hold it until we were ready to pay. He gave the associate the price tag & informed her that it fell off while trying to open the bag. She said okay. When back to pay, we informed the associate that the suitcase standing behind the cashier was ours. Immediately, the store manager Pam (wish I got her last name) interjected and told the associate "that can't be the right ticket because it's Ben Sherman and that's a more expensive brand." My husband and I told her that was the correct ticket and it fell off when trying to open the suitcase. Unfortunately, Pam looked at us and decided she did not want to hear it. She insisted to us that the bag should be more expensive and our ticket was incorrect. My husband told her we found the bag in the clearance section and it was the last one or else we would have brought another one, but she wanted to go "look" for herself. I asked my husband to go with Pam since I had my kids with us, and also because I decided to keep my blood pressure low for the Lent season. While browsing the clearance luggage section, Pam showed my husband an Anne Klein suitcase with a higher price tag and told him, "Ben Sherman is more expensive than Anne Klein and this bag is $69, so there's no way your bag is $56." My husband started getting angry and told her, "Miss I didn't just pick up a random ticket, it fell off when I tried to open the bag." As a customer, this had already gone too far. But Pam insisted that my husband's tag story was not making sense. Disclaimer: my husband is way more patient than me because I would have left Pam and her bags in the back and left the store, but he really liked this checkered Ben Sherman suitcase and knew he had the correct ticket. Right as they were about to leave the section, Pam saw a red Ben Sherman suitcase on clearance. Aha! She was ready to prove us wrong! The price on the red BS suitcase: $56-same price as the checkered one we had, proving that my husband was never lying all along. Really Pam! Instead of apologizing, Pam said okay and just started walking to the associate's only room. My husband being angry and embarrassed, asked for her name and told her that he wanted an apology. She only replied that her name was Pam, a manager, no apologies-no remorse for putting a customer (a TJX cardholder at that) through the Spanish Inquisition. Instead she sent out a male associate to tell the associates in the front that our price was correct. He did offer a further discount on the bag, but that was not the point. Pam never came out to apologize for her accusations, her denial of our truth, and dare I say it her treatment of customers who look like me, black. Yes I said it because it is true. I am thrilled that in 2017, we are no longer afraid to call out things just for what it is. Like many other people of color, my husband and I are not not race baiters, we are paying customers just like everyone else. However, our shopping experiences are different as a result of internalized racism and implicit biases from people like Pam. TJ MAXX is a great store, but I have experienced similar issues at other locations in the past and need to start calling them out. Perhaps they can work on their diversity trainings a little more because whatever is being taught, or lack thereof, needs to be worked on. As a customer, we should have never had to spend 15 minutes trying to "prove" to Pam that we were not lying about the ticket falling off. She and the store may say otherwise, but there were other customers behind us, yes white people, who saw what occurred, and felt bad for us. So I'd like to call out Pam, TJ MAXX Manager, for her awful behavior and let her know that people like her are why we still have racial issues in 2017. Shame on you Pam! P.S.- I plan to call corporate on Monday morning!

She treated me as if I was a thief. The items that were blatantly on the receipt purchased from TJMaxx with all the original tags attached and in good shape were denied because SHE had never seen them in the store before. I told her that the items were purchased from the TJMaxx store but she did not even look at me to talk and simply ignored me afterwards. I told her to check the security footage to verify the legitimacy , but she continued to say that she's always right and never wrong without doing anything else. She kept a pissy face on for the entire duration of the conversation. She was also extremely rude to the cashier that was doing my returns. The cashier was doing an excellent job and this manager came to literally harass this employee... and I could see the frustration on the face of this employee. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation for both the employee and me. I do not understand how this manager managed to get this position. She's most definitely not qualified to be a manager, let alone a leader of any kind. You can also tell the quality of the employee by the quality of the leadership in the store. Hopefully the TJMaxx corp sees this and take action.

She also wanted to feel more confident with her professional outfits and level up her wardrobe for date nights. Bryn works on a flat per-hour rate rather than requiring you to purchase a package. She came to our apartment for a closet edit, did a personal shopping trip at Club Monaco with my wife, and then came back to our apartment to help my wife create outfits and put together a lookbook for her. We were so impressed with Bryn's work that I decided to work with Bryn too. I gave Bryn an inspiration album of the style I was aspiring to embody and showed her my favorite clothing when she was here to help my wife. Bryn took me to Nordstrom and picked out a number of shirts, pants, shorts, blazers, and shoes for me to try on. She has an eye for unique pieces that have elicited compliments for my clients. I had some sizing issues with a couple of the clothes, so we ordered some for delivery, got a few pieces altered, and re-grouped over email (complimentary) to think about alternatives. My wife and I were both impressed with Bryn's sense of style, professionalism, and attitude. We highly recommend that you work with her.

But when I felt like I had nothing to wear in my stuffed closet, I reached out for help. I got so much more than I signed up for! Bryn came over and we edited a lot--some clothes to sell, some to donate--and some to tailor in new and fresh ways. (She is also an actual fashion designer so can really weigh in with tailoring.) Then Bryn created totally new looks with pieces I already owned, adding jewelry and shoes--it was so exciting, I just kept marveling and saying "I would have never thought of that!" Bryn took my wardrobe to a whole new level, while staying true to my individual style. She really, really gets fashion and fit and just has an amazing way of amping you up. The best part is she flat-lays all the looks and creates a digital or printed lookbook. I keep mine in photo albums on my phone that I refer to. In addition to seasonal closet edits and styling at home, I have also shopped with Bryn in department stores--where they all know and love her. When you arrive, Bryn has a beautiful dressing room set up full of clothes she has picked for you. Amazing and fun and the best shortcut to finding great pieces that work for you.
