Ok where do i start ??? My wife and I came in looking for mother of the groom dress for our sons wedding . Marion has the goods. She gave us many options and then even went one step further . She adding her personal touch and made the dress a truly one of a kind. The other peoples reviews aren't fair . You need to understand Marion is a artist and you have to let her do her thing . Thanks Cami and Marion for a great experience. Regards Harry J read more

As many others have already said, the owner is invasive and disturbing. You may not understand some of the extreme reviews until you experience this place firsthand. Unfortunately, my friends and I stopped in blindly. The owner followed my friends and me at a very close distance, with an egregiously strong cigarette odor. I tried on a long necklace I was interested in purchasing, and I wrapped the length of it around my neck. She said "leave it long" like an order, I explained I wouldn't style it that way, and she was handling it while it was on my body. Her behavior made me feel violated. She said my style is "arbitrary." After that, she took any other item I picked up and put them behind the counter as if I was not allowed to buy the merchandise. To another employee she said, "I don't know why these girls are even in here" and said to me, "Why are you trying everything on? Everything is beautiful. Everything is beautiful." I just had tried on two necklaces. No signage, mirrors everywhere, it was unclear why trying items on annoyed her. I am in disbelief that reviews describing similar experiences date as far back as 11 years and this place is still in business. It was just so unpleasant. It was bizarre. No one should spend money in a place where they are treated this way. Avoid this place if you expect basic respect as a customer. read more

Great selection owner and daughter took time to pick all different outfits for each occasion I needed something for and had great ideas Was satisfied with my experience Will be returning! read more

Rating is Zero. Horrible customer service! Sales lady/owner was rude, offensive and pushy. She kept pressuring us to choose an outfit. Selections are poor and prices inflated. Never go there! read more

As I am visiting from MIAMI I was walking by and decided to go in to browse for a new dress. The lady who is the owner was one of the most rudest individuals I have ever encountered. She also had cigarette breath. She told me I wasn't enthusiastic about her store since I had my hands in my pockets (it was freezing in the store). The prices were also way too overpriced. Don't go in and waste your time. She was selling a necklace that said Bi... - she should be wearing it. Go to a better store with better customer service! read more

The owner and her daughter are horrible people.. Very rude!. I can't believe they are still in business and the location is terrible. It's very difficult to park there. read more

If I can give this boutique zero stars I would. Now I fully understand all the rest of the negative reviews. I entered the store to find a dress as I see a few beautiful pieces in the window while driving by daily. We were not greeted and just looked at like we came from outer space when we entered the store. Finally when we were asked if we were looking for anything I said yes a dress for my brothers wedding but it is difficult for me to find some thing. Instead of the owner asking how she can help or what exactly I'm looking for or perhaps pulling a few pieces from the rack She said that I better leave quickly. I have never been treated like this in any establishment and I'm shocked that this boutique with rude service and the smell of smoke remains open in our area. read more

Couldn't agree more with the negative reviews. They were rude..unprofessional...unhelpful...Was shocked to hear they have been in business for 30 years..the store is awful read more

Owner is always nice to me. She has a real flair for fashion it's natural she doesn't have to work hard to accomplish amazing luxe. If you're nasty, she might be nasty back, but you'll deserve it. Kindness breeds kindness. read more

Does the store have beautiful peices yes, are they worth the horrible customer service....NO! Strike 1- once you walk in the store it reeks immediately of cigaretts and so do the dresses Strike 2- the owner tells me what she thinks i look best in verse what i told her as the customer and the person wearing the dress feels best in Strike 3- i tried 2 dresses on and was told i was "playing games" myself sister and mother were told to leave the store. Utterly rude owner, wouldnt give her my money if it was the last dress store standing and my event was tomorrow and i still has nothing to wear. The owner did not even greet us when we walked in. Claiming she does not like to "bother" anyone but has no problem throwing you out of the store. She then tried to convince me that the 2 dresses i tried on (that were snug) were a perfect fit so she did not have to place an order for another dress. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE AT ALL EVER!!! read more

I came here to write a review on my terrible experience. Then I saw all the other bad reviews/bad experiences people had. I wish I came here first and read all the reviews before stepping into the store! I see many of the terrible experiences I had with the owner happened to others. I will never recommend friends to her store! read more

Very fresh and pushy owner. My gown was altered but the sequence actually cut under my arms. Mentioned It to a Cami owner and she said it's not my problem. Just a note... all I asked is that she make a suggestion as to how to fix it so that I can wear it again . I will pay for any alterations. Still received a nasty response. read more

Some friends and I walked into this boutique for a few minutes after brunch and the saleswomen were extremely rude to us when we didn't try on or buy anything. I would never go into this boutique again. There is no rule that you have to buy something when you browse in a store but they told us at this store that was the case. read more

I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE A 0 IF I COULD. Would never walk into this store again. I have never been treated so disrespectfully. Went looking for a dress for my sons wedding and the owner was yelling at me because I would not make a decision to purchase on the same day. I was shaking in the changing room because of how rude she was. My daughter came with me and was so disgusted. As we were walking out she was proceeding to yell at another innocent customer. DO NOT GO TO THIS BOUTIQUE!!!!!!!!!I HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!! read more

I drive every day by the store on my way to work, the clothes displayed in the window are beautiful, and I always wanted to stop in to take a look, but after reading so many negatives reviews, I think I will stay away, the positive reviews are not enough to convince me otherwise. read more

Buyer beware this woman besides being crazy and you can see all the reviews here that substantiate her poor customer service. She marks up dresses 2 to 3 times the price where you can find them for a lot less on the Internet or other stores. It has nothing to do with brick and mortar, she's ripping you off and on top of that she's not a nice person. She screams and yells at her customers ,calls them disgusting. why should anyone pay more money than what the dress is worth and have to be abused for standing up for their rights... It's amazing that she stayed in business this long l. Would wear rags before I bought anything from her Marion. Shame on you You're a greedy pig. read more

I wasn't surprised to read so many bad reviews! I frequently pass Cami and admire the display windows so I went in today in search of a dress for a very special occasion. The sales person basically took no notice of the description of the style I wanted and pointed out lovely, but completely inappropriate dresses. Each time I passed over a dress she appeared to become more and more annoyed. After about 10 minutes, I saw a dress that I thought might work. I told her it was a possibility and that I had just begun my search. I had just turned back to the dress when she said, rather aggressively, "I don't like that kind of comment." When I asked her what she meant, she said that people come into the shop to buy their dream dress, and that she didn't want to be part of a rotation. People look around first and then buy their dress at her shop. Furthermore, she said she is either the last stop or the only stop, not part of the "process" ... so I thanked her and walked out. This was probably the rudest encounter with a sales person I've ever had. Customer service is certainly not in their vocabulary! She doesn't need to lose sleep over being part of my process. I won't cross her doorstep again. A relief for both of us. read more

I just went in the boutique for the first and last time. Tried 5 prices and didn't like or didn't fit. The sales woman tells me I was just playing and why did I pick so many things. Very rude and disrespectful. I don't have to give business to her. read more

The owner is extremely rude and not accommodating. As someone who has bought many dresses from her over the years, it was upsetting how poorly she treated me today. I will never shop there again. Also she has no personal boundaries and will walk in on you as you're changing. read more

I am shocked that this store is recommended, if you look at their yelp or google reviews you will understand why. The owner harassed and pressured my wife, to include walking in on her naked in the changing room, to the point where my wife purchased far more then she wanted just to get out of the store and stop being harassed. It's amazing to me that there are good reviews, perhaps they are fake, or perhaps the owner is better to select customers and rude to all others. I highly encourage anyone in the Roslyn, Port Washington, Manhasset and Great Neck to avoid this retailer as there are many better options in the area. read more

I went into the store one day passing by beautiful pieces and lovely store. As for the owner and her daughter they shouldn't be judging anyone with the appearance they have. I told the lady I would be back with my daughter looking for a prom dress a few days later we came in and we chose a few pieces not a very wide selection of gowns. My daughter tried on one dress and didn't like it and the owner made her but it back on so she can see the she but a ugly belt around it and my only remark was like oh no o don't like it she pulled all the dresses out of the room and clearly stated we had no intentions of buying anything. I have been to plenty of boutiques and have never encountered a owner like her that's why her boutique in locust valley closed she has no respect for customers. I will never go there again read more

I never write reviews but I am in such shock. I have never felt harassed or abused like that while shopping before and couldn't get out of there fast enough. When I did not like a dress for myself, the owner told me there must be something wrong with me and refused to respond as we said goodbye when we left. I don't care how cute or not cute anything was I would never go back and give my business to someone so nasty. read more

I have purchased several dresses from this store If you aren't serious about buying something this is not the store you go into to just for the sake of trying on This is a high end fashion boutique with beautiful dresses Marion the owner is a true artist and visionary and she does get offended if you do not take her or her store seriously That being said she is beyond kind to me as well as her daughter she'd who works there as well She always knows how to make me feel good about myself I am not a stick figure but she always knows what to put on me that's right for my body type and to make me feel beautiful Given the quality of what she carries you absolutely get a lot of bang for your buck read more

Stay away. After shopping at this boutique for a few years and showcasing her items at an event I was literally shown the door after not purchasing anything during past two or three visits. Nothing was to my liking and I respect myself enough not to be pushed into spending my hard earned money just to please a store owner. I prefer other shops where the salespeople and owners are frank enough to tell me when I should buy something and when sometimes it just won't work for me. At Cami customers are expected to make a purchase every time. Not for me. read more

Why are they still in business? I was browsing the store and my phone rang. So like any other person who shops, I continued browsing while talking on the phone. Within 3 minutes of my phone call, the owner, a complete psychopath, started yelling at me to get off the phone while I'm shopping. She said either I talk on the phone or I shop. I wasn't allowed to do one or the other. Obviously I'd rather not be in that kind of environment. I was gonna go out and get her some pills to chill put her menopause in check. read more

My daughter and I were casually shopping and we were commenting on a piece of clothing. The woman who was working immediately made a rude and obnoxious comment asking my daughter if she just said she didn't like the piece? And continued to pass comments, I thought for sure this lady is joking and made a joke and then she reamed into me! This woman was more than twice my age and I could not believe the hatered and disgust she spoke to both of us with! I taught my daughter to always respect her elders. I am floored at the disgraceful manner in which we were treated! I will not only never shop here but I will make a point of telling everyone I know how horrible they treat customers at this outdated, hole in the wall, joke of a business! No wonder you have a 1.8 rating...I would give a zero if it were available! You are a disgrace to the retail market in Roslyn. read more

the owner of Cami Boutique in Roslyn is an artistic genius. Her inventory is VERY fairly priced. She has the ability to make a size 6 garment fit a size 10 woman. Not only does the place smell like an ash tray the owner was completely rude to me when I asked her what time they were open till. I had planned on coming back when I didn't have my toddler in tow. Apparently I don't need to know what the store hours were because I will never go back to that store again!! read more

I regret walking into this store and trying on anything! This old lady was so aggressive and disrespectful. When I said I'm not taking it I was told "well go somewhere else and buy your dress!" I Felt compelled to write this review. I have been shopping in the store and I totally get why people have been spoken to rudely. Not that this is excusable but the owner of the store Marion is truly an artist. She has absolutely no patience for one who does not know style Nor quality. Maybe that's not a great combination when you run your own business but if you allow her to dress you I will guarantee you will go out of that store looking like a fashion plate. She is spot on with her fashion forward attitude and her clothing will give you the look of design wear her daughter Jessica is also an artist. Having either one of them dress you for an occasion can only make you look like you know what you're doing for a fraction of the cost. read more

Yesterday I went into this boutique to look for a dress for a 14-year-old. never being in this boutique before I can tell you I will never go back again. After reading all the reviews regarding this boutique my story is the same so I'm going to try and keep it short and I myself have never taken to social media to write a preview before. My daughter goes to a Catholic school there are many many many restrictions it's almost impossible to find a dress. My daughter tried on one dress and then wanted to try on a strapless dress and I just let her try it on knowing it wouldn't work. Well first the dressing room curtains are sheer so you can see right through them which I think is inappropriate to begin with because now with these days and social media people can snap pictures and I don't think you should be able to see somebody changing plus men can see if I'm store . The dress looked lovely on my daughter the woman tried to sell me and was very pushy I explained she could not have strapless she said she could put straps on pushing and pushing and pushing it didn't matter because it would've taken away from the dress so when I started saying she can't do this and can't have that because of the restrictions she yelled at me and said now I think you're making things up.she had put a ribbon around my daughters waist to accent the dress and she was so angry she very nastily ripped it off my daughter. In this whole situation and this is what upset me the most she is 14 I don't care if you're happy or not you don't do things like that she was extremely aggressive when she did it which I'm going to call her today because I was so upset about being called a liar . I even gave her the name of the school so she could call her self. I don't know how she still in business as she has had bad reviews since 2012. read more

I'd like to give zero stars if that was an option! I was there today to help my best friend find a dress for her son's bar mitzvah. At first, the owner was honest and helpful but as we consumed more time (simply trying on more dresses) she got more and more delusional. My friend found 2 dresses but she wanted to go back with her mom! Seems like a simple request, right? The owner, freaked out and basically made us leave the store bc she said the purchase had to be made at that very moment! I have no idea how this woman stays in business, if you go- prepare to be harassed! read more

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM CAMI BOUTIQUE!! I visited the clothing store with my mother. I walked in and said hello to the owner and she just gave me a nasty, hostile look as she walked by. As my mom tried a blouse on- my mother asked me for my opinion and i kindly said "i dont like it on you," and then the store OWNER proceeds to yell and insult me by calling me an "*Word Rejected*and claiming i dont know what i'm talking about as if i was trying to kill her sale. I simply wanted my mother to try something else that suited her better. This lady is completely crazy and needs anger management. She cannot continue to treat her patrons in this demeaning manner. She ruined our day and lost her sale. read more

So as for the item I purchased it was definitely overpriced but I felt the need that I had to purchase it the owner was there I believe that's the ladies mother I am a plus size girl and I was looking at a shirt in large but I know my body and I know what will fit me and won't won't so the older lady told me that she's being honest and it's not gonna fit me and all the pieces are made this in this way she was basically telling me that I'm fat and the clothes in there won't fit me so I took it to myself to try on the blouse and when I tried it on there it was it was actually a little bit loose she came to the fitting room didn't even ask me if I was comfortable with her opening the curtain and she was in shock at the way pick me and then in the end when I purchased that she was saying how shall never discourage someone again to try something on and she should keep her mouth shut and I told him I was like listen I was like if you run into the wrong person who takes it offensive you would've had a problem but I was in an a good mood and I didn't say anything to her I wish I look at the reviews before I stop here and spend $50 on a blouse which I could've got probably an H&M I actually drove an hour out there so see a job and just happen to stop by the selection is all very small sizes so if you fit in a size extra small small or right ahead to be my guest and if youif you want to be extremely judged by your appearance weight size shape color then you will also stop here I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life so thank you read more

I never write reviews but I am in such shock that a business owner will totally loose it and become so defensive. I have brought a few pieces from the store before and never have I questioned their pricing nor asked for discounts.Today I walked in, in need of a dress, mind you I am an avid shopper and I like and pay for what I want. But when the price tag for an issue dress was $525.00, it spiked my attention and I asked why it was so expensive.I own a few pieces from that company and I can truly say that i know their range.. I don't care how cute or not cute, your store does not make it nice, the company does and other stores does sell the same exacts things...my money should not be spend unnecessarily. So I looked it up from another store I purchase from all the time and sure enough it was way less.So I proceeded to tell the owner what I found not because I did not want to buy it, I was willing to actually get the dress regardless because I loved and wanted it right then and there...and she lost it , by screaming how it isn't fair to her ( really) .Oh well that is all it took to loose a customer....Unbelievable. There is a way to talk to people, specially your customers. Well I called Reve,my dress it's on it's way! https://www.reveboutique.com/products/issue-one-shoulder-cocktail-dress?variant=2494659952667 even way less at https://www.bluefly.com/issue-new-york-one-shoulder-dress/p/387197103 read more

Cami Boutique's reputation is huge. Here's why. As you walk into the store, you are not greeted, instead you are looked over very carefully and scornfully by the owner, as if she is thinking, "How dare you shop in my store, you don't look as if you have the money to afford anything." Which is basically what she said to me as my daughter was trying on lots of different outfits, trying to find a suitable outfit for an occasion. As nothing quite fit my daughter, the owner became angry, then irate than downright insane. She actually started screaming at us that now she had to put everything back on the hangers, as I offered to help, she whirled another doozy at me, "I knew you weren't going to buy anything here". And there she was right. If there was a sign in her window that said "Free", I would run the other way. I advise you to do the same. By the way, nothing in that store warrants purchasing. Lots of overpriced, gaudy outfits, which is why we couldn't find anything suitable in the first place. read more

The owner of the store, in disguise, must have written the 5-star review. My suggestion is RUN AWAY! My daughter and I have never met a more rude and nasty individual! All we did is enter the store. She saw us both enter. My daughter was looking at the dresses and I approached her, said hello and told her that my daughter was looking for a dress for a wedding. Her sarcastic response, was, "How am I suppose to know what she wants?" She showed us 1 fit and flare dress and when my daughter asked to see something else. She started yelling, "Not cool!!!" How she stays in business is a conundrum!! The store is dated and from the 2 minutes, I was in the store, it appears that she had little to show. There are plenty of other dress shops on Long Island to spend your money. read more

Wish I could give it zero stars. Never in my life was I treated so badly as I was by the owner of this store. It was several years ago when I was getting married. I went in looking for a mother of the bride dress for my mom to wear. My mom was on a business call and stayed outside on the phone. I started browsing the store and found some dresses that I liked and hung them in the dressing room for her to try on. My mom eventually came in, and was clearly ending her phone call. Next thing I knew, the store owner was hanging up the dresses that I had selected for her to try on. I told her not to put them back: I wanted my mom to try them on. "We are not a phone booth", she replied, and told me to "get out". By this time, my mom was already off of the phone and was telling her that she liked those dresses. The owner then started PUSHING me towards the door, telling us to leave. I couldn't believe it! I have NEVER EVER been treated this way. Oh, and she was wearing jeans and had a dog in the store. So I have no idea what kind of store she thinks she owns, but i STRONGLY urge people not to support this woman. read more

Love this store. I can always find fabulous clothing and accessories there. The staff goes out of their way to help me even if I am just shopping for a piece of costume jewelry.
