I was very happy to find Bryn after searching for stylists online for my wife's birthday. My wife would open her closet and feel like she had nothing to wear. She also wanted to feel more confident with her professional outfits and level up her wardrobe for date nights. Bryn works on a flat per-hour rate rather than requiring you to purchase a package. She came to our apartment for a closet edit, did a personal shopping trip at Club Monaco with my wife, and then came back to our apartment to help my wife create outfits and put together a lookbook for her. We were so impressed with Bryn's work that I decided to work with Bryn too. I gave Bryn an inspiration album of the style I was aspiring to embody and showed her my favorite clothing when she was here to help my wife. Bryn took me to Nordstrom and picked out a number of shirts, pants, shorts, blazers, and shoes for me to try on. She has an eye for unique pieces that have elicited compliments for my clients. I had some sizing issues with a couple of the clothes, so we ordered some for delivery, got a few pieces altered, and re-grouped over email (complimentary) to think about alternatives. Bryn has been my secret weapon for almost 10 years! I never thought I needed a stylist--I know what I like and what suits my body--I'm a pretty good shopper. Bryn is so on point!! I HIGHLY recommend her. I DO NOT like shopping, but I LOVE shopping with Bryn. At a time in my life where I needed to learn how to dress more business appropriate but without feeling too frumpy or Strawberry, I could not have found a better ally than Bryn. We looked at my entire wardrobe, piece by piece and unloaded a lot of dead weight- things I just needed an extra pair of eyes to look at and say, "it's time to say goodbye." What she was able to do with the stuff we kept was great. She has a talent for seeing the potential in my things where I could not- putting things together in interesting combinations and accessorizing them beautifully. What a great way to maximize my current wardrobe without spending any more money. As for "holes" in my wardrobe, we discussed those as well and where I could get certain things I need for the price I want to pay. Me: frazzled mom of 2 preschool age kids, who works full time. Not the snappiest dresser. Basic uniform is mom jeans and a gap tshirt. Bryn: able to deconstruct the basics how to's of modern style for me so that I can follow along and make up outfits that have people asking me if I have 1)lost weight (!) or 2) done something different with my hair - neither of which I did. She has helped me find new, pretty outfits for work AND play - all in my own closet. I had the basics - I just didn't know how to put them together. I opted for a level 2 session with her. Bryn is very patient, and worked hard at going through my closet (an exercise I have avoided for a few years) and creating a system that helps me get dressed quickly and easily in the morning. She then made outfits for me out of the clothing and jewelry and shoes I already had. She also advised me on what pieces I should buy to update my look (and it was not a push to buy things at all). I have to say this is the first time I have ever had someone advise on styling but it was worth EVERY cent. I would never, ever play around with my own electrical or plumbing in the house - I would call an expert. Bryn is the expert in this area,she is a wise guide in how to make yourself look like those great, updated makeovers in magazines. You look like you, but at your best. She is very diplomatic (as in the case of a hideous dress I had) and really does help you figure out what works to make you look as pretty and updated as possible. read more

If you are considering hiring The Re-Stylist, know this: You will save yourself time, energy and money working with Bryn- I did! Bryn was a pleasure to work with; a seasoned expert and great communicator who really listens to your needs. We got more done in 3 hours than I could have done in 3 YEARS. Together, we weeded and shopped my closet, and I received expert advice and ideas on how to wear some of my favorite pieces that I just didn't know how to wear and therefore never wore. What's the point in having beautiful clothes if you never wear them?! By pairing new outfits from what I already owned, Bryn saved me needless time, energy and money (saved from buying more clothes that I don't need). She also helped me to identify some key missing items (like a versatile black blazer) that would tie together a lot of my clothes and recommended where I could buy them. And here I was going to go buy another pair of jeans- ha! Finally, I recently switched to a vegan diet, and explained how I was hoping to purchase animal-free clothing, shoes and accessories. Bryn was receptive to this and had a lot of good ideas. She even followed up with an email with photographs of "new" outfits (made from clothes I already owned) and more information on animal-free clothing & shoes. I had two sessions with Bryn, a closet cleanse and then a shopping trip to fill in the gaps in my wardrobe. In the course of a 5 year period, while still working for the same company, my office environment went from conservative, to casual, to trendy. I also had a baby and reached a milestone birthday so my wardrobe was all over the place and I hated getting dressed every day. Working with Bryn was the best thing I could have done. We went through my entire closet and Bryn was completely honest without judging and she had great suggestions about how to assemble new outfits from what I already owned. I love the pictures she sent after our session so I could remember the new looks and I still refer to these 6 months later. When we met for our shopping trip a few weeks later, she had already started a dressing room and prepared several items prior to my arrival so I could immediately start trying on clothes. She knew what I needed, and remembered what I already owned (sometimes even better than I did!). I had the best shopping experience of my life and I am thrilled with my new look. I can't recommend Bryn highly enough. She is professional and creative and great at what she does. She understood my needs, my background, my environment and translated that into a much-needed new look for me that I could replicate on my own. You cannot go wrong hiring Bryn Taylor as your stylist. This woman knows her stuff. Since I'm someone who wasn't born with any fashion sense, my closet was stuffed full of good intentions and nothing to wear. I thought hiring a stylist was something only for movie stars and politicians. I didn't think I was the ideal client and I didn't think I could afford it. But I came across Bryn's website and thought, 'oh what the heck.' I'm making some big changes in my life, and I want to look good. So I contacted her. From the start she was approachable and patient and really seemed to understand what I was looking for. Bryn came to my home on a Saturday morning, went over my goals, then got to work on my closet. She assessed my clothing honestly (and kindly) and pulled out items I'd buried. I ended up with a large giveaway pile but also with nice pieces I'd forgotten. Then I only needed to fill the gaps in my wardrobe. So, the next day, we met at a department store, and let me tell you, this girl knows how to shop. I walked into the dressing room where there were dozens of items she'd handpicked for me. I tried them all on, and ended up with a haul that rounded out my wardrobe. I decided it was time to infuse my work wardrobe with a little life, as I've grown accustomed to the same pieces and outfits on rotation. I was basically in a rut. I hired Bryn to help me assess what I had and see if any of it could be used in different ways. She not only helped me edit down the unnecessary clutter, but showed me tons of new outfits within my own wardrobe. She was able to put things together I would never have thought of but work beautifully together. Wow. Talk about a great investment. My hectic schedule means that I tend to have go-to outfits while a bulk of my wardrobe goes unused. Bryn changed all that. From the very beginning, Bryn asked me what my goals were (in my case to simplify and maximize my closet for work outfits). She went through each piece of clothing with me and respectfully shared her thoughts. She later created outfits (paired with jewelry, jackets, and sweaters) that she then photographed. She talked through why she paired different pieces and put together such unexpected (and fun!) combinations. To complete the process, she put all my clothing away organized! This is the best money a woman can spend. Like the reviewers before me, Bryn was very thorough in the entire process. The closet clean was very helpful and she was already cataloging and configuring from the beginning. I felt immediate relief when she told me that she'd go to the stores before me and pull items for me to try on. While shopping can be fun, it can also be draining and Bryn totally obliterated that aspect and made shopping easy and purposeful for me. She was able to create several new outfits for me, while also giving me ideas about combinations I could make on my own. I have never received so many compliments on my clothing as I have since Bryn saved my closet in February and I would highly recommend her to any young woman making the transition to a new career or just needing some freshening up on their day-to-day look.
