Last trip to a formal wear purveyor was their sister company Jos. A Bank just down the street from this store, and that was to buy a halfway respectable "interview suit" for a reasonable price. After all, there's always some sort of "sale" at these places. Didn't have worry about that here, as the attire package was all picked out by my buddy (or likely his fiancée lol). It was just a matter of getting measured and choosing a pickup location. Ángel helped me out and he was awesome. The store only had 1 other staff member inside and was surprisingly busy for a Thursday late morning- Angel advised that this is a very busy time for them. While I did have to wait a few minutes for help after my 11 am appointment, I understand. Between phone calls and several walk-ins, the staff are humans, not octopuses. Angel got everything done for me in 10-15 minutes max, even with multitasking: shoes fitted, pants, jacket, and you could tell he is an experienced professional. I'm lanky and he picked out the right stuff to try on, the first time! He also explained their policy about being able to get re-measured up to a month prior to the pickup time, and you can change pickup locations within 2 weeks of the pickup time. The price was nearly $250, not cheap and the only thing holding back 5 stars here. There's also a non-refundable $12 "damage & handling" fee, just call it nickel and diming and drop the euphemisms. Hey, that's the wedding racket for ya. It's all worth it for a friend, and I'm glad I got the great help from Angel. He made everything (aside from the cost) painless, and made me wonder why I put this off so long!

They couldn't survive WFH and their previous roster of eighteen Jersey stores have dwindled to a handful but in retrospect, I'll miss being assaulted by their all-too-eager salesforce upon entry and the ubiquitous buy two suits get seven free business model. Daniel was efficient in ensuring my size and measurements were accurate, and provided guidance for accessories as I haven't worn a Tux in years. PIcked up a few days prior to my function to assure fit and all was good to go! Tuxedo and shoes looked like there were brand new! Great quality. Looked sharp! She has done so much work for me on one of the most important days of my life, my daughters Wedding Day! I purchased my daughters gown from "Off the Runway" and the dress my daughter and I fell in love with, needed most of the waistline, most of train reattached, it needed to be taken in many inches off the entire silhouette of the body, the shoulder straps taken in, and of course a bustle! I was nervous and wasn't sure if anyone could pull it off but Mona reassured me it would look brand new and sure enough, when the day came, the wedding dress fit my daughter like a glove and was absolutely flawless! I then sent my husbands Tux as well as my M.O.B Dress to her so she could work her magic and she didn't disappoint! As a Type A, (perfectionist) person myself, I can honestly say, what Mona does is nothing less than Perfection and I would trust her with any Big Event attire, Formal or otherwise that I may need in the future.

When I went back, I was not happy with the length, but she hurried me out and said it was perfect. She charged me a total of $730 for alterations and hemming. After trying it on a few times at home I was still not happy with it, I decided to get a second opinion. I brought it to another tailor in Brick, and they told me Mona ruined the dress. It was not until I went to this second tailor did I realize what a terrible job Mona did for a ton of money, $730. This was a $1500 dress. Mona cut the lace when she was not supposed to. The top of the dress was a botched job. Also, Mona did not take it in correctly around the hip area. Basically, the new tailor must totally re-do the dress again from start. I was so upset but the new tailor is going to do their best to fix it for me for a total of $250. When going back to Mona she was very unprofessional and nasty and would not listen to a word I said. She told me the new tailor was going to ruin the dress on me. Mona just yelled and screamed at me and kicked me out. I would never want anyone else to experience this. I was naive and did not know any better and I got screwed. Please be careful and do not go to Mona's Boutiques and Tailoring. Please do your research.

I am attending a wedding in November and planned on just wearing my old prom dress. From the moment I entered the store I was amazed at how beautiful all the gowns were! Yelitza immediately greeted me and went above and beyond helping me find beautiful options to wear. She was so kind and caring and really knew her stuff!!!!!! She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on! It's funny because when I walked in the store she happen to have it in her hands putting it away! I instantly said hey that dress is beautiful and it happen to be my size and everything!!!! She even took photos of me in each gown so I could compare and contrast! Yelitza made my shopping experience extremely rewarding and fun! My mom and I came here looking for a mother of bride dress. We attempted to make an appointment but their recording said you didn't need one. When we arrived it was utter madness. We had no idea a prom trunk show was going on. The smell when we walked in should have been an indication things would be bad. It was like being punched in the face with cockroach spray. People were everywhere wondering around. Racks upon racks of dresses in large plastic bags in every square inch of the store. After a few minutes an employee came over, gave a a rolling rack and told us to help ourselves. We were instructed to start digging through the racks and place whatever we wanted on our personal rack to try on. Things were organized by color but not by nice. It was impossible to find anything or even see what the dresses looked like since they were all in bug bulky bags. It was worse than Marshall's on Black Friday. This was not the type of experience I'd hope to have with my mom for such a special day. We left without trying anything on.
