Last trip to a formal wear purveyor was their sister company Jos. A Bank just down the street from this store, and that was to buy a halfway respectable "interview suit" for a reasonable price. After all, there's always some sort of "sale" at these places. Didn't have worry about that here, as the attire package was all picked out by my buddy (or likely his fiancée lol). It was just a matter of getting measured and choosing a pickup location. Ángel helped me out and he was awesome. The store only had 1 other staff member inside and was surprisingly busy for a Thursday late morning- Angel advised that this is a very busy time for them. While I did have to wait a few minutes for help after my 11 am appointment, I understand. Between phone calls and several walk-ins, the staff are humans, not octopuses. Angel got everything done for me in 10-15 minutes max, even with multitasking: shoes fitted, pants, jacket, and you could tell he is an experienced professional. I'm lanky and he picked out the right stuff to try on, the first time! He also explained their policy about being able to get re-measured up to a month prior to the pickup time, and you can change pickup locations within 2 weeks of the pickup time. The price was nearly $250, not cheap and the only thing holding back 5 stars here. There's also a non-refundable $12 "damage & handling" fee, just call it nickel and diming and drop the euphemisms. Hey, that's the wedding racket for ya. It's all worth it for a friend, and I'm glad I got the great help from Angel. He made everything (aside from the cost) painless, and made me wonder why I put this off so long!

They couldn't survive WFH and their previous roster of eighteen Jersey stores have dwindled to a handful but in retrospect, I'll miss being assaulted by their all-too-eager salesforce upon entry and the ubiquitous buy two suits get seven free business model. Princeton tuxedo by contrast was an Immaculate shop, Great selection, Attentive service and a fair price/value. Daniel fitted me and he was excellent. Daniel was efficient in ensuring my size and measurements were accurate, and provided guidance for accessories as I haven't worn a Tux in years. PIcked up a few days prior to my function to assure fit and all was good to go! Tuxedo and shoes looked like there were brand new! Great quality. Looked sharp! Very pleased with their entire operation! Would strongly recommend without reservation. Will be back for another wedding in Spring.

Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. I am MOB and came in with my daughter and her fiancé who is also female. I am going to mention this here although it is not something I ever think about, but seemed to be an obvious issue with some of your staff. They are both beautiful, and happen to be plus-sized. We were eyed up and down when we first arrived and then again by the sales associate, Lesley (sp?). We probably should have left right then and there. She was definitely taken aback when I introduced my daughter and her fiancé...caught herself quickly, but was clear. It is 2026, and this being Pride Month, she should have faked it better. To say she was probably the worst dress consultant I have ever had is an understatement. She questioned me on my normal clothing size three times (I wear a size 6 in street clothes and she twice said something about me being a 12...and no, not in dress sizes which I fully understand run small). This clearly indicates she doesn't know what should be her craft which I would expect from a sales consultant at a shop like Jan's. Then she didn't listen to anything my daughter had to say or me for that matter. It almost made me apologize for being selective and no one should have to do that ever, particularly when shopping for such a wonderful occasion. I did try on some dresses, despite her not showing me what I really wanted. She consistently talked about the dress sizes, unnecessarily as that is a ridiculous concern. And as we were leaving, she rambled on, unprovoked, about these lavish weddings that people have and she wonders if they'll still be married in ten years and then wished my daughter and her fiancé good luck. When I went back, I was not happy with the length, but she hurried me out and said it was perfect. She charged me a total of $730 for alterations and hemming. After trying it on a few times at home I was still not happy with it, I decided to get a second opinion. I brought it to another tailor in Brick, and they told me Mona ruined the dress. It was not until I went to this second tailor did I realize what a terrible job Mona did for a ton of money, $730. This was a $1500 dress. Mona cut the lace when she was not supposed to. The top of the dress was a botched job. Also, Mona did not take it in correctly around the hip area. Basically, the new tailor must totally re-do the dress again from start. I was so upset but the new tailor is going to do their best to fix it for me for a total of $250. When going back to Mona she was very unprofessional and nasty and would not listen to a word I said. She told me the new tailor was going to ruin the dress on me. Mona just yelled and screamed at me and kicked me out. I would never want anyone else to experience this. I was naive and did not know any better and I got screwed. Please be careful and do not go to Mona's Boutiques and Tailoring. Please do your research.

When my daughter tried the dress on and came out of the dressing room Mona looked at the dress on her and said that it was too much material to take in and told her to order a size smaller. She did not care that it was the smallest size possible. If she was truly a seamstress she would have taken in the dress where it was needed but I guess it was too much work for her and she did not want to do it. I will NEVER go back to her shop again.

I am attending a wedding in November and planned on just wearing my old prom dress. From the moment I entered the store I was amazed at how beautiful all the gowns were! Yelitza immediately greeted me and went above and beyond helping me find beautiful options to wear. She was so kind and caring and really knew her stuff!!!!!! She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on!
