She didn't help pick any dresses, was pretty negative about my price range etc. BSB was the exact opposite! I had Liv as my stylist and she made me so comfortable and really listened to what I was looking for. The first dress she chose ended up being exactly what I was imagining and in my price range! Let me start by saying my shopping experience (picking out a gown) was great and this is why I purchased from here. The shopping experience is 5 Stars. A few great things: there are a decent selection of gowns which seem to be below 3k so if you have a modest budget you can pretty much afford most gowns in the salon. Second, my dress consultant was fantastic and seemed genuinely interested in matching me with my gown. She helped me find "the one." The transaction portion, however, was a totally different ballgame. I personally felt that the boutique could have done a much better job on this end. First and foremost, when my dress arrived I was asked to pay over the phone sight unseen. This is not industry standard so it thew me off. I wasn't offered an opportunity to try my dress on or inspect it. I had to request an inspection. Note: when you pay for the dress they have boilerplate language binding you to a final sale and notes that you've inspected the dress fully and you are satisfied with the condition. Next, like most brides during COVID, I've had to postpone my wedding. I've had no issues with any of my other vendors with rescheduling and I anticipated like most shops the boutique would keep my dress until alterations were complete. They kept my friends dress for nearly a year until her wedding so I expected the same service. After my dress came in, I got a text (not a call) that I had to pick up my dress from the parking lot. Although this is an era of COVID, the boutique is fully open and people were in the shop trying on gowns in the salon. It was a major turn off that folks could be in the salon to purchase but for the people that are already locked into a sale, it was more like a curbside grab and go. It really detracted from the experience and it just felt like they only cared about getting paid. Don't get me wrong. They were polite, and explained their position for doing so, I just expected the transaction to be as good as the shopping experience. Finally, when (minor) issues arose during my purchase I felt like I was met with a lot of "no's" and "we can't/won't do that" "look at your contract" instead of solutions--even if the solutions would cost more... I could have cared less about the money--I just wanted advice and guidance coupled with solutions which I eventually had to research & come up with on my own. Because of the transaction portion, I'm not confident I'd refer this boutique. In my opinion, for such an important purchase you should feel happy from the time you shop until the time the transaction is fully complete... otherwise, why not just try on the dress and then buy it cheaper online?? The experience is what you're paying they extra money for and I felt the transaction portion was disappointing. Update: it's been awhile since I wrote this. Originally I was planning to give the boutique three stars. But they really have only earned two. A year after I picked up my dress, my wedding day came and went. Not a peep from bridal suite. No follow up call for alterations, nothing. They totally dropped the ball and forgot about me. Ended up going to one of the best gown alteration companies to finish my gown (see my other reviews). The straps that were sold to me were the wrong color & didn't match at all and were useless so I had to get custom straps made for my dress that were the correct color and style; the gown was ordered too small so a corset was installed. After about $1200 in alterations and custom add ons that these folks didn't do/ failed to follow up to do, my dress came out amazing. read more

No deposit needed and everyone is absolutely wonderful! I was SO nervous for this process and very self conscious and Hannah made this process a breeze! The very first dress i laid eyes on I said yes to! Hannah listened to my likes, dislikes and budgets and nailed it when it came to pulling dresses for me. Not only that, there was 0 judgment and she was so accommodating and encouraging throughout the whole process. She made me feel comfortable, heard and beautiful. They make it a point not to bring anything in over your budget and truly care about making you beautiful and happy for your big day. My stylist Hannah was an absolute GEM as well as the entire staff the BSB (I would give shout outs if I could remember everyone's name!). Everyone was so friendly, helpful & their customer service is superb! Hannah was patient, kind & made me feel so comfortable during my appointment. She could automatically tell when I didn't like a dress & kept things moving. I had a few dresses that I wanted to try on & Hannah additionally pulled a few dresses she thought I would like from the trunk show they had that day. Well, the first one I tried on that Hannah pulled was THE ONE. Jewel Lynn was my seamstress. She was patient, kind, friendly, professional & offered her opinions when it came to alterations. We altered the original straps to a much more thinner strap to my Martina Liana dress as I didn't like the way the original felt & I could not have been happier with her work! They did not budge the entire time as she added silicone & elastic to make it extremely comfortable on my shoulders. Her work & attention to detail is meticulous! I am so happy with the customer service I've received from BSB. The boutique is clean, inviting, modern, super cute & I love that there was a room for everyone to try on dresses. It was my first day shopping for dresses and we had a fantastic experience here. Hannah, my stylist, was extremely nice, helpful, and patient. Came here as a guest with my sister who is searching for her bridal gown. This was her first time looking for dresses so she had a little idea of what she wanted but also needed guidance. The young lady who helped her with the dresses had such a great attitude and really helped find gowns in her realm of what she likes. She even threw in a wildcard that she ended up loving ! If you're looking to be hyped up, supported, comfortable, and treated with the utmost kindest, then look no further!!! My stylist was Olivia and she could not have been nicer or more supportive. I booked only a few days before the appointment and they sent out a survey asking about what I liked. They called me to talk about my appointment. I felt so cared for from the moment I booked the appointment. Once we were in there, I was incredibly impressed by the spacious dressing room. It was big, but enclosed so that my mom and sister were just on the other side of the curtain. Olivia asked me so many questions about what I was looking for, what my wedding was like, what my fiance like, what my life was like. I swear she got my whole life story during this appointment. I was made to feel so, so comfortable the entire time. I was able to pick out dresses on the floor that I wanted to try on. They had such a huge range of sizes. It wasn't just one size for regular sizes and one size for plus sizes. There was a whole range. This was so incredibly helpful for picturing the dress on my body type. Olivia was full of compliments for every dress I tried on and never let me get away with critiquing any part of my body. She added belts, veils, extra fabric, extra pins, and anything else I needed to get the full picture. I found two dresses I really liked, but wasn't able to bite the bullet on either of them. The incredibly kind staff set up a follow up appointment with me to try them both on again. I ended up finding a different dress at another place, but I am so grateful for the amazing experience I had at BSB. I couldn't have asked for nicer, kinder people to work with. Bridal Suite Boutique is where my sister found her gown and veil for her wedding! They took great precautions during the time of Covid. All the employees wore masks as were the guests. It is a small showroom, but the quality of the gowns was amazing. The bridal attendant know exactly what my sister was looking for and was so kind and patient with her. Since my sister did get her gown there, she was offered a discount code if the bridal party wanted to get their gowns there as well. I loved my consultant Sarah, she was easy-going and laid back and was the perfect consultant. I had called ahead knowing which dress I wanted to try on and was able to try on about 7 gowns after walking the room AND we could take pictures!!! Can you believe in this day and age some bridal boutiques still frown upon being able to take a photo? I think it's a HUGE part of the dress buying process, because you may think in person a dress looks good on, but then once you take a photo of it, the dress just doesn't translate! After having to reschedule so many times due to my own work/school/personal events, I finally made it in to an appointment at Bridal Suite Boutique on the recommendation of a friend who found her dress here. (They were so great each time I had to reschedule, btw). The atmosphere is amazing. It's such a cute place, right down to the velvet couches in the waiting space. The dressing rooms have these big gorgeous mirrors that I swear are magic. Though Kim promised me they were just from Anthropology! ;) Kim was an awesome consultant. She really listened and helped me figure out what I liked -- when I went in, I had no idea. She even stayed past our appointment time when I was stuck between two dresses. They even let me quickly try on the dress again later in the day, without an appointment. It was pretty clear that I was having a really hard time with this decision and everyone was super supportive. In the end, I just wasn't able to stretch my budget to afford it. My mistake for not checking in on the price range of their dresses! (Which is listed on their website as $1200-$3000). I have been having a great experience at BSB! I found my perfect dress there (was my stylist Liv's first pick for me), and find the shop pleasant and relaxing. They have spacious rooms, with privacy curtains so you can change into gowns and then reveal to your shopping buddies, which I appreciated. Another shop wanted to charge me $350+ fee for delivery cost to the shop for a dress; BSB doesn't do that, so the price listed is the actual price of the dress. Really glad I found them! read more

I was torn on posting this review since this incident happened last year, and I truly understand how small businesses depend on ratings. However, now that my wedding has come and gone, the conversations I had with this vendor still bother me (a year later!), and I wanted to give some feedback that will hopefully help future brides. I want to start off by saying I was born and raised in South Jersey, so I knew that I wanted to buy my wedding dress local and support small businesses. I told the lady assisting me that I had gone to so many dress shops already, that I was overwhelmed and still unsure what style I wanted. She was nice enough, and I thought I found a dress I felt good about. When I specifically asked her what would happen if I wanted to exchange the dress, she said that the owner of the shop was super nice and would work with me. I was sold and felt assured that this was a good decision. Based on that conversation, I signed the contract, paid the deposit, and didn't think twice. That was in April 2018. A few months later in July, I wasn't feeling great about the dress I chose, and called the shop to see what could be done. First thing they tell me is no refunds or returns. Understandable, I signed the contract and was told multiple times throughout the conversation to look at the contract. When I asked "What did you mean when you said the owner would work with me if I changed my mind" she stated, "I meant that if someone died she might be able to work something out. Otherwise, you still have to buy the dress in full, so here are some websites we provide so you could maybe resell it and get some money back." It felt like a bait and switch, so I asked to speak with the owner. Had I known this was what they meant, I would not have been as confident signing. The owner told me that she wished they taught girls in school the difference between buying wedding apparel and retail clothes. It wasn't the GAP, so items could not just be returned. I understood that, but also felt like it was an unnecessary comment and that I was being shamed and truly embarrassed. So I said, OK, what if I bought a different dress at the same or higher value? I'd have my 5 bridesmaids and MOB get all their dresses and accessories there as well. I said I wanted to work with her like her associate mentioned, and she stated that this wasn't the way bridal shops work since the dress was already being made. When I told her I visited bridal shops beforehand that would did this, her response was she didn't know any store that would make money if they accepted returns or exchanges. It felt like I was being belittled. By the way, Anomalie offers 100% refunds if you do not love your custom made dress. BHLDN also accept returns and exchanges within 30 days. Yes they are a different business models, but not every store is as rigid and really do work with their brides to make it happen, putting customer service before bottom line. Ironically, why I originally wanted to go for a small business vs. large chain store. At the end of the conversation, she mentioned the possibility of small claims court for the remaining balance, which is quite the opposite of working with someone. Misleading brides to say you will work with them, get them to sign the contract, and then make those kind of statements was not professional. Out of all the vendors I encountered, it was by far the worst experience I had. I understand I signed the contract based on being told a misleading statement. I lost the deposit, did not pay the remainder, and they kept the dress. I couldn't bring myself to reach out again after the verbal lashing I received during our last conversation. I really did want to root for this business by giving them even more money through buying a better dress or having our bridal party buy there, but since the contract was more important than their word, I understand where their priorities are. I do hope that the feedback can be helpful for the staff and owner in how you made a customer feel. Hoping future brides have better luck here, just ensure you get everything clarified and in writing. read more

Everyone here was extremely helpful - they were running around finding anything I asked for and if they didn't know an answer to a question I had, they would track down someone who knew! I did not expect to be contacted the day before my appointment and was pleasantly surprised that my consultant was introducing herself. This boutique is a gem. Beautifully curated selection that is stunningly beautiful and diverse but not totally overwhelming. Unlike bigger stores that are pulling gowns for you and you never actually get to see much inventory yourself, here you can walk through the racks with your consultant and it's much easier to have collaborative input in the process. I went with my best friend here and every dress she tried on was stunning and unique. Courtney the consultant is amazing! So professional and knowlegdable and warm and supportive. She's so good that she actually ended up figuring out what "the dress" would be just from the pre-consult phone call! With Courtney's help, my best friend found her dress and it's incredible. I think this boutique is also a great option for people looking for a calming, more private experience. Each bride's group gets it's own beautiful room instead of the bride having to stand on a podium in the middle of the store like many larger places. I was contacted the day prior to my appointment so my stylist could ask some questions. It definitely helped me feel more at ease upon my arrival. My stylist was Amelia and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. She was attentive, kind, and supportive. She was personable and really seemed to want to get to know me. As someone who struggles to make decisions, I really appreciated her feedback and opinion. She was honest, which is something I really appreciated, and needed to help me make a decision. She was able to balance what I wanted in a dress, as well as pull options that my entourage wanted to see me in. In fact, the dress she pulled was different than what I thought I wanted, but she knew it was something that would look great on me. Needless to say, she picked a winner! I was very nervous when I first started trying on dresses, but Amelia made me feel so comfortable. She gave me time and space so that I could make a decision. The owner Claudia would pop in and provide feedback, as well. Although I went during a trunk show and they were busy, I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. They were kind and patient. They had just gotten a Lillian West dress in 2 hours prior to my appointment and it was exactly what I was looking for. BUYER BEWARE!!! I arrived at this boutique convinced I would find my dress, I was soo excited about ending my search here! First of all, Hollie is AMAZING! One of the sweetest people I have ever met honestly, I also met their seamstress Missouri who was also sweet. Unfortunately, my pleasant experience stopped there. After trying several dresses, I tried on a floor model dress that was new. After trying on the dress I absolutely LOVED it! Hollie informed me that the dress was being offered at a 50% discount which left me thrilled! I purchased the dress and a week and half later, went to see a seamstress as I did not want to wait until April to have alterations done. Thank God I did not wait! The chest area of my dress was sitting up high on me and sat away from my body. Upon seeing a seamstress my heart dropped when she told me that the sweetheart neckline of the dress did not fit properly because the dress was actually too small for me. The size of my dress is a size 8 and according to my measurements (B-37.5, W-29, H-40) I wear a size 10. As a result, the dress sits higher and my back bulges out at the top. Even if I paid a significant amount of money to let the seams out on the side, it is not a guarantee that the dress would fit. The hip area simply will not even allow me to sit down in the dress. I immediately called the boutique and I explained to Tess that I had been sold a dress too small for me. She quickly asserted that the sale was final and they cannot help me. I offered to have them take my measurements to prove to them that the dress is in fact too small. Tess simply did not care, she told me that all sales were final - then she proceeded to blame ME for the mistake. She reminded me that I tried the dress on and loved it while it was on my body (this sounded like a rehearsed line that they tell brides when there is an issue) and that I should have known it was too small then. I told her yes, I tried on the dress but the satin strings in the back were loose and not tied at all! Their seamstress, Missouri even mentioned they were not all the way tied so how in the world was I to know that the dress was too small? I told her "You guys are the professionals! Why did you not measure me?" She then told me that they do not measure brides if they are buying a dress from the floor - WHAT? Is this some kind of business practice to sale the dress whether the bride can fit it or not?!! And if your policy is to NOT measure a bride when she is buying a dress as is - would you not ensure that the dress she is buying actually fits her by tying all of the strings/zippers and compartments to make sure that bride walks away with a dress that fits her body? I mean who does that?!! I felt like I was tricked! I told her "This feels like you guys are a used car lot!" Her answer stunned me - she said "Well, we kinda are - you buy as is, no returns, no exceptions," I asked if she could at least allow me to return the dress for store credit and I may end up spending MORE in the store (similar to the plea of another YELP reviewer). Tess insisted she would make NO exceptions. However, she did tell me that I could use their seamstress to attempt to fix the problem. Unfortunately with a dress that is too small this would require major alterations at great cost! I simply do not have a thousand dollars to make a dress work that should have never been sold to me. She then told me that I signed on the dotted line which clearly stated that the sale was final. I really felt duped then! I mean in the excitement of purchasing a wedding dress and a glass of champagne they had given me, I needed to read the fine lines about the sale being final? I then realized that this was something they did often. After more intense back and forth I finally hung up as I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes and I was NOT going to give her the satisfaction of hearing me cry. Which is a huge factor in my one star rating. The complete and utter LACK of compassion that Tess had and her inability or unwillingness to talk down a stressed-out bride was appalling to me! She reminded me of one of those teachers we all know who are harsh to their kids and clearly are in the wrong profession. I mean, this is what they do - they sale dresses to brides. She did not offer any solutions for my problem and completely lacked empathy to my situation. Now I am out of $950.00 and a beautiful dress that I can't even wear. I just feel awful that I had my daughter with me when I bought the dress and this situation has left a lasting impression on her. Due to the fact that the dress was partially tied when I tried it on is the responsibility of BSB and not the consumer. It is imperative that the policy of not measuring a bride is coupled with a responsibility to ensure that the dress actually fits the bride! Bridal Suite Boutique was amazing! My mom got a recommendation for BSB and it ended up being the first (and only) boutique I visited. They offer a wide selection of dresses at a variety of price points. They have alteration services but do not require you to use them, which I appreciated as I live 1.5 hours from Hamilton. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! read more

I went on my first appointment ever trying on dresses and I had an amazing time here! My consultant Hollie was amazing she was such a sweetheart. I didn't wind up getting a dress just yet because I have a little while before my wedding and still some time. But I must say this place had so many different options but not too many where it was overwhelming... I loved every moment of my appointment she just made the experience amazing! read more

I really love Bridal Suite Boutique. I got my wedding gown, my bridesmaids dresses, and soon my mom will be buying her mother-of-the-bride dress here. They have a gorgeoussss selection of wedding dresses (I went to about ten bridal shops before I found Bridal Suite Boutique ) and the prices are amazing for beautiful quality gowns. After having a great experience with Hollie trying on wedding gowns, I knew that the boutique would be where I would be getting my bridesmaids dresses. I had another great experience with Tiffany picking those out. All of the girls at the boutique have been absolutely amazing at getting my ten bridesmaids in for measurements, and all of the bridesmaids have told me how nicely they were treated. Today I was back at the shop again with my mom and sister looking at mother-of-the-bride dresses with Hollie and we had so much fun! I would highly recommend this shop to any bride.
