Emel was kind and incredibly efficient--- she enlarged my dress, hemmed it, and pressed it, and it was ready in 24 hours. She worked late into the night to fix it, and didn't even charge extra for the rush. I got the feeling that she truly loved sewing, and she saw this dress project as a challenge. The owner "lost it" and didn't tell me for several weeks. Eventually she found it and did the work. Six weeks ago I dropped off a shirt for alterations. Three times I went to pick it up and each time she said it would be "ready next week." I called today and it was not done. When I tried to ask when it would be done the owner became upset and told me I was "making her feel bad." I picked up the shirt and will have the work done elsewhere. I don't think the staff are able to handle the volume of work they have and are unable to be frank with customers about when to expect it will be complete. I will no longer use their services as I am not confident the work will be completed on time. This is nerve-wracking if the items are needed for a particular event. Unfortunate as their work is excellent when it's done - but of no value when a customer can't depend on it to be ready when scheduled. They want to provide good service but should not commit to work they cannot handle.
