You're under new management and you want to gain new customers with this type of business? For a girl that already has a hard time dressing for formal events, you are now another reason I just don't. Follow-Up @ 4:57 pm, Voicemail that was left: Hi Jennifer, this is Evelyn. I am the owner of Da Vinci's Bridal. I am so sorry that nobody was there. I'm trying to get a hold of my employee that was supposed to be there for your appointment and I cannot get a hold of her. I am so incredibly sorry she was not there to take care of you. I would love to give you a credit, a discount or something for the inconvenience. Um, I, I don't know, we can talk maybe 50% off or something to make this up to you. I am terribly sorry that uh, my employee that was supposed to be there for you was not there. If you want to give me a call back on my personal cell phone number, my number is 775-xxx-xxxx.. Um, and we will see hopefully we can win your business and fix the situation. Again, I really do apologize for this. If you're the owner, rectifying this yourself would have made this possible, today! This was my only free day as I go to school and have two jobs. The events on the 21st.

I truly believe some people come into your life at exactly the right moment, and Raja at Michael…read morethe Tailor by Babu was one of those people for me. With only days until my wedding, I came to Raja needing alterations on my bridal gown, work that would normally require weeks, if not months, of planning. Somehow, he completed my dress in just TWO DAYS. The skill and care it took to make that happen still amazes me. But what made this experience so memorable went far beyond the alterations. I was carrying so much panic, wondering if everything going wrong with my dress at the last minute was bad timing or somehow not part of God's plan. In the middle of that stress, Raja spoke to me about faith, trusting God, and how sometimes things unfold exactly as they are meant to. It was such a small conversation, but at that moment, it felt like perfect alignment during one of the most important times of my life. I walked in worried about a dress and walked out feeling reassured that everything was going to be okay. And the dress was beautiful. Raja, thank you for taking on what felt impossible, for treating my wedding dress with so much care, and for giving me a little bit of faith when I needed it most. I will always remember the kindness behind the work just as much as the work itself.

I bought my wedding dress as a size 10, while I am a size 4/6. It was way too big on me all around. I started to get very worried when other places were quoting me a startling amount of money for my alterations and I began to think I made a huge mistake by purchasing a dress that was going to cost me more to alter than the actual dress. Luckily, I found Raja. He was able to alter my dress perfectly to my body shape while still keeping the original design of the dress intact and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. He is kind, patient, and respectful. He assured me everything was going to be done in time and my dress would fit me like a glove - and it did. He also made me a fresh cup of coffee once while I waited in his shop and it was delicious! I'm already thinking of other garments I can take to him just to drink another cup of his coffee! Thank you so much Raja!

We found a couple of styles at JCPenney, but unfortunately they didn't have his size. We then headed over to Macy's, which was also disappointing. After trying a few other stores and spending over an hour searching, we left empty-handed. We decided to take a drive to Dillard's, and I'm so thankful we did. Within a minute of walking in, Charles greeted us and offered assistance without us even asking--which is definitely rare these days. I explained what we were looking for and a few specific requirements. As he walked us through the options, I mentioned that we needed a wide fit. He was honest and let us know they didn't carry traditional wide sizes, but then took the time to show us ECCO shoes with dual-fit insoles as an alternative. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated Charles. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. He listened carefully, stayed calm while we tried on different pairs, and didn't hesitate when we asked for another size. We later found out he actually helped open this location--congratulations to him on his 20th anniversary! Dillard's management--you truly have a gem in Charles. You should be very proud to have him representing your store.

My apologies for the long review, but it is well worth it! Bridal shopping can be stressful, especially when you run into pushy sales tactics. Before arriving at your shop, we had a very discouraging, cold and frustrating experience at another local boutique (Swoon on Plumb Lane) where we felt pressured, rushed and undervalued. Coming into Blue Garter was like night and day, and being met by MaryEllen's professionalism was a breath of fresh air. What I witnessed from MaryEllen was truly masterclass-level professional service. From the moment we arrived, MaryEllen treated us like royalty. Her warmth, infectious smile, and deep knowledge of the dresses immediately put my friend, the bride-to-be at ease. She made us feel beautiful, comfortable and most importantly, she made us feel seen. She was able to accommodate our budget and found us something that we are thrilled with! What was most impressive, however, was her ability to manage the shop entirely on her own. During our appointment, two additional customers arrived at different times. MaryEllen managed to greet and assist both walk-ins with total grace, ensuring they felt attended to without ever making us feel forgotten or secondary. Her attention to detail, including a thoughtful champagne toast that made the experience unforgettable, shows a level of dedication to the "bridal experience" that is hard to find. She navigated a busy, solo-staffed business with such seamlessness that it appeared effortless. MaryEllen is a rare gem and an incredible representative of Blue Garter Bridal and Tux. I truly hope she is recognized for her hard work and expert level of customer care. I will certainly be recommending Blue Garter to others, and I personally look forward to returning to work with MaryEllen for my own wedding needs in the future. Her ability to secure a sale and a lifelong advocate for your business, where others failed, speaks volumes about her talent. I am so relieved my friend didn't spend her hard-earned money at a place where we felt like just a number. MaryEllen earned every bit of her commission today. If you want a stress-free, high-class experience, skip the pushy shops and go see MaryEllen! She is a gem who deserves a raise! Don't waste your time elsewhere; go see her first.

One of the last stops we went to before we made a decision was In Italia Men's Wear. We were greeted with warmth by both Jhovani and his assistant, even though Jhovani was working with another client. The place is intimate and there is always at least another client here each time we have walked in. My husband was lucky and found a suit "off the rack" as we were pressed for time. Jhovani went above and beyond while still offering to tailor it in time for my husband so he can look great in it before we left the following week even though his schedule was pretty packed. His assistant measured him to have the suit fit perfectly, Jhovani double checked her work as was very pleased. We were promised it will be done by end of day the day before we left. While looking around my husband also found the perfect shoes that matched my dress so we could coordinate. They delivered earlier than promised. We are very grateful for them. I highly recommend coming here to buy a suit. Jhovani also does fully custom suits as well. The service is impeccable, and so is the quality of what they have. Plus, we were stoked to support a small business. We were extremely pleased by the quality and didn't mind investing in this suit as it will last a long time. The value of what was delivered is worth it. Don't hesitate to stop by! My husband plans to go here again soon to invest in a fully custom suit by Jhovani.

I loved how the store had everything from custom tailored to casual everyday options, all of which made by high quality designers, all carrying the hallmarks of having the best materials and craftsmanship available. This was quality you could see and feel, but also quality that Jhovani could speak to so you could share the story with others. This is what sets stores like this apart from other retailers and reminds you what you're paying for when shopping at them. I was beyond excited to give this gift and even more happy to see how well it was received. Jhovani is also a tailor and the shop offers tailoring for the items they sell.
