I was just told about this place when I tried to get an electrical adapter from the Apple store the other day, and I wish I had found them earlier... they seem to have just about everything I can think of needing for a trip... and a better selection of luggage variety than anywhere I've looked recently... this will be my first stop for travel needs from now on. Had a great experience here, I was looking to get my husband a suitcase for his Birthday. I really wanted to get him a Briggs and Riley since it's the absolute best. I had done research online but wanted to see and touch the luggage I had my eye on. The woman working was awesome! She showed me the new line B&R has and really went above and beyond to show me all the details. I ended up getting him a nice piece and later realized that it was actually a little less expensive at Way to Go than if I had bought it online! I went on a scouting trip to look at travel purses, packing cubes and the Rifd security for credit cards and passports. This little shop had it all. There was also a lovely selection of clothing for building a travel wardrobe on sale as of today. Compression socks to quality carry-on luggage, this shop had everything on my list. I'm still in the planning stages but the sales associate took the time to answer all my questions and demonstrate products for me. read more

Nice shop, but when I was there I was in a hurry so asked if I could return a blouse I was considering, if I returned it within a couple days. I wasn't worried about the slacks I bought as they fit well. They said, "no problem." I brought it home and had my group of ladies who come once a week for cards. They said "NO" on if I should keep the blouse for to wear for a wedding I was planning to attend. I took it right down to the P.O. and mailed it back with the tags still on and when I didn't hear, I called to find out if they had received it. They had and told me I could come back in and use the credit whenever it was convenient for me. I live in ANOTHER STATE. We're talking over $300, here. Be careful. read more

The owner always seems to be in the shop. The store carries anything that you could possibly want in your travels, even hard to find items. I love her Pacsafe line of bags. I bought one seven years ago and it still looks new. It's a smart back that is hard to pick pocket or steal. When traveling questionable area check this bag out. She also carries some great luggage pieces, some can be spendy, but are made to handle airlines and porters' rough abuse. There is also a nice small clothing line. These individual pieces are great because they wear well, dry fast, look great and are comfy. read more

Fun shop with lots of unique travel related gifts. If you travel a lot or need a gift for someone who does, this is your place. The only complaint I might have would be the prices, they were steep to say the least. However, the staff is friendly and helpful and you will find some unique items here so it's certainly worth a visit. When I was in I learned that they even host free packing workshops! Getting ready for a big trip can be very stressful but Way to Go travel really helped me get the last minute essentials for my trip. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable, she helped me pick out the items I needed and gave me some great travel tips. The store is well stocked with everything you need. They have a great array of security products, luggage, and travel aides. They even had a power adapter for South Africa! I had been looking all over for the correct adapter, including Amazon and couldn't find the correct adaptor, if I had bought the "Universal" Kit they had at Best Buy it wouldn't have worked. I went looking for the new Napa-Sonoma today, but unfortunately i only found signs saying, "Coming Soon". (target opening - July) As I was leaving the shopping area, I spotted 'Way To Go - Where ever you go ... Travel in style'. Being a lover of travel, I had to stop and look inside. What a mistake to look - kiddingly - because they carry some of the latest travel gadgets and supplies and carry gear, and all of it makes me want to get my passport and Go Somewhere! I met the store owner and her husband, both Very personable and knowledgeable about travel. I immediately felt like this was one of Reno's local businesses that I want to support, and I hope to see them be very successful - because I want to continue to come back and browse the goods, and find out what I've been missing and what I still want for my future travels and adventures. read more

I was recommended to check out this place by a friend. She knew my husband and I were planning a trip to Europe and she thought I should check it out. I went in intending to just by a money belt for my husband, which with the help of the lovely staff I was able to find no problem, but I also ended up with some other items which were beyond useful for out trip. The sales woman was kind and asked me all about our upcoming trip. She told me about her own travels and what people were recently buying. She pointed me in the direction of a great and adorable theft protection purse and some very useful and much needed 5-in-1 Travel Adapters. What a fantastic find in Reno! I went here the other day after looking at Dillard's and Macy's for a rolling garment-bag. The lady, who I assume is the owner, was knowledgeable and so helpful and accommodating. She spent considerable time educating me on the Briggs & Riley products. I ended up purchasing another Tumi product on-line. I'm sure I'll be happy with it, but feel a bit badly because Way To Go seems to be a wonderful local merchant and I really felt comfortable in her store. I really enjoy shopping at Way to Go Travel. The staff are always very helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable! Before my recent Danube River Cruise, I attended their free monthly Packing Workshop. It did give me several hints and helpful suggestions for making sure I didn't pack too much, but didn't miss something important. She has the small things you need like TSA locks, compression stockings for long flights, electrical plug converters and an RFID blocking passport/credit card case. We did find that the prices were comparable to that which we found online. The input from the owner added value that one would not get online.
