One of the last stops we went to before we made a decision was In Italia Men's Wear. We were greeted with warmth by both Jhovani and his assistant, even though Jhovani was working with another client. The place is intimate and there is always at least another client here each time we have walked in. My husband was lucky and found a suit "off the rack" as we were pressed for time. Jhovani went above and beyond while still offering to tailor it in time for my husband so he can look great in it before we left the following week even though his schedule was pretty packed. His assistant measured him to have the suit fit perfectly, Jhovani double checked her work as was very pleased. We were promised it will be done by end of day the day before we left. While looking around my husband also found the perfect shoes that matched my dress so we could coordinate. They delivered earlier than promised. We are very grateful for them. I highly recommend coming here to buy a suit. Jhovani also does fully custom suits as well. The service is impeccable, and so is the quality of what they have. Plus, we were stoked to support a small business. We were extremely pleased by the quality and didn't mind investing in this suit as it will last a long time. I loved how the store had everything from custom tailored to casual everyday options, all of which made by high quality designers, all carrying the hallmarks of having the best materials and craftsmanship available. This is what sets stores like this apart from other retailers and reminds you what you're paying for when shopping at them. I was beyond excited to give this gift and even more happy to see how well it was received. Jhovani is also a tailor and the shop offers tailoring for the items they sell. Tailoring is a dying art and while we can't access the craftsman here keeping it alive, I am glad to see it continuing and hope that Jhovani is able to find more talented folks so that we can all access this service. After trying a few other stores and spending over an hour searching, we left empty-handed. We decided to take a drive to Dillard's, and I'm so thankful we did. Within a minute of walking in, Charles greeted us and offered assistance without us even asking--which is definitely rare these days. I explained what we were looking for and a few specific requirements. As he walked us through the options, I mentioned that we needed a wide fit. He was honest and let us know they didn't carry traditional wide sizes, but then took the time to show us ECCO shoes with dual-fit insoles as an alternative. I can't say enough about how much we appreciated Charles. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. He listened carefully, stayed calm while we tried on different pairs, and didn't hesitate when we asked for another size. We later found out he actually helped open this location--congratulations to him on his 20th anniversary! Dillard's management--you truly have a gem in Charles. I've mentioned to staff that I have used some of my Pendleton flannels to line my custom motorcycle vests. The women's color ways- have improved through the years. The sales rep we had, is the reason for this review. Right after he sized my girlfriend's feet, he automatically started pushing the most expensive brand after we told him we wanted a specific brand. He even gave us a shoe in this more expensive brand and told my girlfriend "it's like walking on a 2x4 piece of wood." I've never heard of a sales tactic like that. Next, every box of shoe he brought out, which was more than 10, was dropped or slammed, out of frustration, we weren't sure. My girlfriend asked him nicely to not slam the boxes as it was overwhelming and she was fighting through a migraine, which she told him. His response was, "what's a migraine? I think I've heard of one before," and he was being completely serious. Lastly, as another sales tactic, he tried having us buy a shoe that they didn't have in stock but a "newer model" was coming mid July, but he said it would be at the store in a week from today "for sure." Then when we nicely said no we will wait since the newer model was something she didn't try on yet, he then said "oh well I can put your name down for it as a hold." When I asked him why he didn't start with that instead of trying to sell us a shoe my girlfriend didn't even try on, his response was, "oh I forgot the store lets us do that." I shouldn't leave out the two times he swore saying f*ck infront of us and casually swore when talking about his personal life to us. Surprised at this kind of service, and ultimately he is the reason we will not be spending our money there nor coming back.
