I haven't been to Menards very often but I'm on the hunt for a bathroom vanity and this is on the list of places to check out for one. They have a large parking lot so that's not a problem at all. Anyway, your standard hardware store. They had some vanities of which I took note. I also found some other things that I hadn't oconsidered (isn't that always the way?) that I may come back to pick up. They had some interesting lamps as well so I may have to stop in to find something that's interesting and affordable. They also have a couple of wheelchairs with baskets attached for folks who may need to use them. Handy items definitely. The staff I interacted with, though there was maybe only one, was helpful and friendly.

I received an email from Menard's promoting their limited supply of masks-- costing about $1 per mask, plus tax and delivery. I went online to purchase, then realized that these do nothing-- they are not N-95's but simply masks we pick up at any hospital when we walk in. I immediately tried to cancel the order. No response. Instead, I received a polite note of when I would receive them. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE FROM MENARD's. THEY ARE OVERPRICED and do not protect you. I will never buy online again from Menards. They make it impossible to cancel the order.

I got the rental details from a girl but I forgot them. Good deal tho.

Menards beats the other hardware stores on price, parking, plants, and pservice. Since I drill or saw once per year, their cheap-ass tools are perfect for me. $20 bucks for a hammer drill is awesome. I needed that to drill into concrete. They have a huge selection of hammer drill bits. And screws. Use stainless steel for damp areas. And seal that shit with clear silicone from a tube. You do not want mold in your walls. They have lumber and rocks and other manly things to carry on your shoulder. One of their many great staff told me about their cheap-ass lumber section: Smaller cuts of dollar wood for projects like reinforcing the wall between studs for hanging a manly punching bag, or a t.v. The outdoor plant section has been expanded for summer 2019. It's gotta be twice as large as summer 2018. Evan is my plant bro. (No hflowers!) You're not going to fool anyone into thinking that you know what you're doing with a professional Milwaukee power tool, so why spend hundreds? Come to Menards, get the job done, and get on with your manly life. Plants are manly.

A snack bar inside the store? Who knew?

The shishito peppers were so sweet and tangy in the bacon jelly and cheese and oozed with goodness! The steak and chicken were such a great combo to share between my husband and I with both being such different profiles of taste and actually complimented one another. The steak itself was absolutely perfect and the bread under soaked up all those juices so you didn't have to lick the plate after (great ingenuity when dining out :)) The desserts were fantastic but the star of the show was def the raspberry blondie. It was everything I imagined and more. The perfect sweet and tart mixed in a bowl with spoons ... thank you for not plating this - I felt like I was at home about to sit on the couch and indulge in something I created. Perfect experience, perfect presentation and to top it off their restaurant is surrounded by their farm. Tomatoes, jalapeños, peaches, peppers, micro greens, greens, herbs..... with everything going on today in this world and every thing being recalled this is a place I can stand behind doing it the right way! Service the phenomenal, food was perfection and atmosphere was next to none.... Thank you so much for such an amazing dinner out!

I expected more flavor but the texture was good. The baked goat cheese was excellent! As was the old fashioned. This place just has great whiskey. Their summer wind cocktail is good too. The ambiance is fabulous. This place puts a lot of thought into their menu, ingredients, etc.

After nearly 30 years of living in Forest Park, I have never had a problem with a local business…read moreand especially not Shauers Hardware until September 1. I stopped in shortly after opening and purchased two 9/16" rubber washers for approximately $1. Since I didn't have cash, I used my debit card. The cashier informed me there was a $3 minimum purchase requirement. When I said I did not need anything else, a man I assume was the owner told the cashier to simply add $2 as "labor" to reach the minimum. I found it strange that I was charged an additional $2 for no product or service. Although it was only $2, it was still money taken from my pocket for nothing. After leaving, I recalled that businesses are generally prohibited from imposing minimum purchase requirements on debit card transactions. I called the store to discuss the issue, but the person who answered, whom I believe was the same individual, abruptly hung up. I then returned to the store, where he was waiting near the entrance. When I showed him information regarding the law as it relates to debit card minimums, specifically 15 U.S.C. § 1693o-2 (Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act) he responded, "I was the one who hung up on you. I don't care. Have a nice day. Go tell your President." Regardless of the amount involved, what disappointed me most was the attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by the owner. I have always tried to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The $2 isn't the issue. The issue is an owner who apparently believes the rules don't apply to him and treats customers with contempt when they're brought to his attention. I hope the appropriate agencies and card networks share his confidence.
