A great addition to Omaha's dining scene. Memoir has a fantastic ambience and we chose it for our anniversary dinner. Hard to go here and not enjoy their fantastic sushi! For entrees we had the Bolognese and the Flat Iron - both highly recommended. They had a welcoming card for our special occasion as well which was a sweet touch. read more

Had an incredible anniversary dinner at Memoir. Booked a reservation on a Monday which not sure was needed based on the people that were there but did anyway. Our server was very helpful, respectful, kind, and overall good person. Make sure to let us know that we are in no rush and take how ever long we wanted to. The biggest highlight was my prime rib sandwich. The cheese on the sandwich was very tasty but different for me. Just had so much great food that I definitely left in a foodcoma but would do it again in a heart beat. read more

We were dressed up for the opera and decided to go to Memoir to enjoy a fancy dinner. We made a reservation for 5pm and getting seated was no problem and pleasant. The waiter asked if we wanted anything other than water twice. We started with the Pork Potsickers. They were good. We then ordered our meals: Lumache Bolognese ($25) and Rigatoni Alla Vodka ($23) along with another starter - the Parmesan Potato Puffs. The waiter also said to my boyfriend after he ordered the Rigatoni Alla Vodka that he normally adds the chicken breast to it. After he politely declined and also thanked him, the waiter said, "I tried". Both pastas weren't overly salty (which is great) but there wasn't a ton of flavor to them either. We both felt the noodles were coated in too much oil. There was oil pooling at the bottom of my plate. The noodles were a bit gummy/chewy on the Bolognese dish. The portions of our entrees were on the smaller side - especially considering the price. My bolognese dish had not much meat in it. My boyfriend joked there's more meat in a can of Chef Boyardee than in my dish. The Parmesan Potato Puffs were fun and the aioli paired with it was really yummy. The atmosphere was neat. I liked the books, plants and decor. Unfortunately, many other diners were very casually dressed. read more

Every time I've eaten at Memoir has been absolutely incredible. The service is top notch, our waiter was knowledge of the menu and came with great recommendations. We have always enjoyed our visits to Memoir. The food is consistently really good and the wait staff is very attentive. The breakfast burrito is my brunch favorite. Closing out the year with a bang! This was a damn good dinner date. We started off with the grilled focaccia and potato puff! Biting into the potato puff was like biting into a cloud! The initial crisp gave way to a delicious cloud. That followed by the grilled focaccia with the pesto. It was the perfect start. The drinks were also quite enjoyable and I loved the glass as well! The Rigatoni alla Vodka with the prime flat iron was perfect! I don't not typically get pasta or steak when I eat out but it felt right. Oh was it enjoyable! The steak was perfectly salted and seared. The night was finished with the Berries and Cream. The meringue was my favorite part because it added additional texture that I absolutely enjoyed. Chris, the waiter, was very knowledgeable and lovely! He made our experience more enjoyable with his recommendations and energy. The atmosphere and decor were great. It wasn't too loud where we had to shout across the table and not eerily quiet either. 5/5 will plan to return in 2025 read more

I was looking at the different dining options from the Flagship Restaurant Group, and found Memoir. The inside is nicely decorated with purple lighting. We sat in one of the booths that have mirrors on the wall. There is a bar in the center of the restaurant. I ordered the seared tuna chop salad. I wasn't asked what dressing I wanted. I'm glad it came on the side, because it was too tart. Other than that I enjoyed my salad that I was determined to finish, which I did. I loved the vegan roll at Memoir. It's a great portion and presented very well, with an awesome flavor profile. We also tried the bread with beans/pesto dip which wasn't as good as the bread wasn't toasted/warm nor was the dip, and the flavors didn't go together well. My husband and I met with a couple friends here on a Thursday night and wow was it packed!!! I am so glad we made reservations beforehand because trying to eat here without a reservation seems like a surefire recipe for disappointment (or at least a long wait time). Even with the reservations, we had about a ~10 minute wait. The service after we were seated was excellent. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and helped us through the menu. I got the Moonwalk cocktail, which was good but didn't really blow me away. Our table got a couple of starters, but I only tried the vegan sushi - bito vegan maki. It had a little smoky flavor and it was very good, but I think you probably already have to like vegetarian sushi. For my main, I got the rigatoni alla vodka. It was also good, but not all that special. Despite it having Calabrian chili, I didn't really get a lot of spice (or flavor) in the dish. For dessert my husband and I shared the chocolate torte, which was excellent - no notes! There are not a lot of vegetarian entree options and I'm not sure my meal entirely justified the price we paid for it, but the atmosphere was fun, the service was great, and there are still lots of cocktails and starters I want to try! read more

I had a business lunch there. I love the cozy atmosphere and the great location in downtown Omaha. Most importantly , the tuna salad there was one of the best salads I've had in the city. Swung by for a quick dinner while I was in town. Since I was solo dining I sat at the bar. The service was very good. Everything I ordered was very tasty. I ended up ordering two appetizers and a dessert. The pork potstickers had a nice tangy flavor and the beet salad was very well complemented by the pickled onions, hazelnuts and goat cheese. Memoir - Painkiller - American Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

I had the pleasure of being treated to Memoir for Mother's Day this year, and what a treat it was! First -- we had some of the best seats in the house. Some may disagree, but our seats ran perpendicular to the open kitchen. If ever you've slaved over making multiple orders of eggs (or steak) for your family, only to get them too runny, not runny enough or steaks overcooked, the skill and calm that emanated from that kitchen was a sight to behold. It was totally entertaining. Second, we had an amazing server in Daria. Positive, welcoming, helpful, solicitous but not overly so. She was great. We started with the Mimosa bottle service. The fresh squeezed oj was a delight, the Prosecco bubbly. We should've stopped there, but the description seemed to say it also came with strawberries, blueberries and elderflower, but that is not the case. It is extract/essence/elixir or something to that effect that comes in a dropper. We tried each separately, and none was a positive addition. Stick with the standard, which was good. We also had Doughnut Bites that were covered in cinnamon sugar and were pleasantly crunchy on the outside and light and delicious on the inside. It was a very generous portion! Main course for me, the standard two Sunnyside up, bacon, toast and some really awesome hash browns that initially look like a fifth cousin once removed from a McDs hashbrown, but are a treat from out of this world! The hashbrowns are preformed, but have a delightful golden crust on both sides and a yummy potatoey inside. The eggs seemed a little small, but whaddaya gonna do in this economy? Cooked just right though. The bacon, delicious flavor, one slice slightly over cooked so the fat takes on a burned flavor, but for the most part, quite good. The toast was a yummy multi-grain that actually was crispy toasted! It was delish with the runny egg. My partner in crime had the Chicken and Churros. The chicken breast was fried to perfection and the serving size quite large. The little churros on which it was served were nice, but not super. We also had a fruit plate with blackberries, cantaloupe, strawberries and pineapple -- all of which were delicious! The atmosphere at Memoir is quite high-end. I loved the dark wood, wondered a little about the magenta lighting strips in the ceiling, but overall felt I was treated like a queen in a very fancy establishment. There were many items on the menu that caught my eye, and we look forward to returning for lunch or dinner in the future. read more

Memoir feels like the kind of restaurant that should be a mess. Sushi. Charcoal roasted chicken. A smashburger. On paper, it sounds like three different chefs lost an argument. Somehow it works. The yellowtail was cold, clean, and disciplined. The chicken carried the flavor of smoke all the way to the bone. But the Pyro Cheeseburger was the thing I kept thinking about afterward. Crisp edges. Soft bun. Pickles doing their job. No gimmicks. No unnecessary flourishes. Just a very good burger served by people smart enough not to overcomplicate it. In a city that sometimes gets overlooked by the food world, Memoir feels comfortable being exactly what it is. read more

Stopped in for a quick meal at this beautiful restaurant. It truly is quite gorgeous. The service was excellent. The food although very good did not match the service or the ambience. I had the Pyro cheeseburger. It has 2 thin patties and delicious spicy pickles. Kinda heavy on the aioli mayo so I would ask for it on the side next time. The side salad was perfect bite size pieces of lettuce and kale although also heavy on the dressing. My husband had the prime flat iron that for the price of $36 fell a little short on the portion size and not quite cooked to the medium well that was asked for. Cheesy potato's were extremely rich. Heavy cheese and light on the potato. But the desert, a chocolate torte, was perfection. Chocolate ganache, crème fraîche ice cream, raspberry coulis, and hazelnut crumble. This restaurant is definitely worth a try. read more

NYC | intimate | salmon NYC - the restaurant has a great vibe. It feels more like a New York City Manhattan base restaurant in terma of decor its finishes the set up. It's got a very upscale big city vibe. Intimate - the restaurant is low lighting, which is great for a date or a more intimate setting for good conversations with friends or family. There's great spacing between each of the tables and settings. Therefore it's a great spot if you're going to spend an evening with a group. Salmon -I decided to try the salmon dish based on the chef's recommendation, and it surpassed all my expectations. Despite being hungry, I didn't want something too heavy, and the dish turned out to be just right. It was not only satisfying but also beautifully complemented by fresh greens and vegetables. Pro tip: Unfortunately, there isn't much parking available nearby, so be sure to factor in an extra 5 minutes for your journey. read more

I came here for brunch with family while visiting from out of town and overall enjoyed Memoir. Omaha doesn't have a ton of trendy nice restaurants so I was excited to try this out and while it was good, I do think it's a little over hyped. We got the loaded hash brown and the creamed kale and bacon dip to share and both were very good. I would pick the dip over the hash brown though to share for a table. I got the grilled chicken and avocado salad and it was very nice. Very fresh ingredients and a decent portion. My boyfriend got the steak and eggs and it was very yummy, steak was cooked perfectly but the portion was kinda small. The best item at our table seemed to be the eggs benedict! It doesn't come with any meat though so you have to pay extra to add that on. While the food was good, our service was a little subpar unfortunately. Our server seemed to be a little out of it and messed up a few things but we didn't get upset over it, he was still very nice. Overall, good experience but it did not quite live up to the hype. read more

Memoir was the perfect spot for our anniversary dinner. We made a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to get a text that our table was ready early--always a great start. The atmosphere felt elevated but still welcoming, and we were seated quickly. We decided to go the shareable route and ordered the Memoir frites, wagyu carpaccio, and salmon dynamite roll, along with a cocktail each. I had the Diablo, which was super refreshing and came garnished with giant blackberries (unexpected but so fun), and my partner had the Pom Pom, which was fruity and light--honestly, both drinks were fantastic. The Memoir frites were tasty and loaded with Parmesan, though I do wish the fries were thinner and crispier for a bit more texture. The carpaccio, however, was easily the highlight. The beef was buttery soft and paired with the most delicious, pillowy bread--we even used the fries to scoop up some of it and that combo absolutely hit. The salmon dynamite roll was exactly that--dynamite. It reminded us of the Thriller roll from Blue Sushi but packed way more flavor. Our server was kind and efficient, though not super chatty or heavy on recommendations, which was fine since we mostly knew what we wanted. Water glasses stayed full, and the overall service was smooth. The only slight hiccup was how fast the food came out--like, five minutes after ordering--which made the table feel a bit cramped with all the dishes and drinks at once. Still, I'd 100% come back and would definitely recommend doing what we did and ordering a bunch of things to share. read more

We finally got a chance to dine here after a challenging time with reservations. Great food and amazing atmosphere. And then top it off with outstanding table service, and it's perfect start to having a successful business. The Yellowtail Sashimi apps were really good and have a slight spicy kick on them. The Dip Au Jus was also tasty and the bread was just perfect. The Prime Flat iron was equally as good and the pasta dishes were quite impressive. We'll definitely be back to try their other items on the menu. read more

We sat at the bar. The place was packed on a Thursday night. There was outside seating but it was a little warm. Service was nice but a little slow, they really need more help. I had the Marguerite, which is a nonalcoholic cocktail. It was delicious! The spices (ginger, cinnamon) reminded me a little of watermelon rind pickles, but that's not what it tasted like. I had the roast chicken. It was pretty good, although I could tell there was lots of butter. It came with these tasty ricotta dumplings, which didn't really come through in the taste. I think it just gave them a great texture. It came with a tiny amount of broccoli rabe. I wish there were more of that. My husband had a pasta dish that I thought was just okay and a pretty small portion. read more

We set up a reservation online, which was very easy. The restaurant inside is a fun vibe with jewel tones and cool decorations! We got greeted and sat early. We got the chance to sit outside to enjoy the weather. The wait staff was kind and helpful. We ordered a couple of drinks, which took some time to get to our table. We didn't notice because it was so nice out! In response to the long wait time, our drinks were very graciously covered by the restaurant! Our food was the perfect serving size. This checked all of my boxes for a great dining experience. I loved the food, the vibe, the staff and cocktails. I can't wait to go back. We started with some cocktails, potato puffs, and sushi. The potato puffs had such a unique texture to them and were so light and fluffy. I wanted to try sushi as I know they are sisters to Blue Sushi. This did not disappoint and packed a lot of flavor in the dynamite salmon roll. For dinner I did the filet mignon which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes had cheddar baked into them and the hollandaise paired nicely. Lastly we got the coconut tart for dessert and the torched meringue was to die for. We were celebrating my birthday and the staff definitely made it a special evening. I can't wait to go back. read more

My mom and I visited Memoir for brunch for my birthday. The staff displayed a birthday card on the table, which was a great touch. We were sat at a table right next to the kitchen. It was interesting being able to see into the kitchen, but it was also very loud. We started with the donut bites. These were sooo good, especially with the dulce de leche dip. We also both ordered coffee. It came in an adorable coffee pot, and we each got a cute glass cup with a tiny spoon to stir. This may seem like a trivial thing, but I SO appreciated not having to use my knife or fork to stir my coffee. They use Hardy Coffee, which is some of my favorite, and it was delicious. My mom had the standard breakfast and I had the hot chicken biscuit sandwich. My sandwich was good not great. I was hoping for a little more "pizazz," but I felt like it fell short of my expectations. Additionally, part of the chicken was weirdly hard. Overall, this is a great atmosphere with friendly service, but I haven't been blown away by the food. read more
