Don't know that I have ever posted a positive review of anyone before. Was looking forward to first time at KG for bagel sandwich but out of bagels at 12:30 on Sunday and also out of sausage. Ended up having I think the best breakfast sandwich I have had in Omaha, the Blake with sub of bacon and added egg. The toasted homemade bread was delicious as was the maple butter, added a wonderful sweet taste to very thick crispy bacon. I order scones everywhere and peaches and cream one of best ever and learned why, affiliated with a very, very popular Omaha bakery and coffee beans from an equally top-drawer Omaha roaster. Very plain motif but food oh so great. Didn't see on line a phone number or way to order ahead for carry out. read more

I live in the California Bay Area but I have family in Omaha so I travel there at least three times a year. Dudes, this is a legit bagel spot. I don't want to sound like an over entitled west coast food snob, but I'm afraid if I typed that it's already too late- but, I've been to the Bagel Bin, I've been to Brueger's (sp?) and I've tried a lot of bagels around Omaha and nothing was quite what I could find at home or in other metro areas, then my daughter introduced me to Know Good and I'm hooked. So delicious. The bagels are bagel-y not bready, the coffee is craft, the dining area is clean and simple, I can see the kitchen which is spotless- this is not just a good bagel shop for Omaha, this is a bagel shop that rivals just about anything I've been to anywhere. (Slight caveat, the lox is not comparable to the lox in NYC, but I don't think that really exists anywhere. Yes, I know, more coastal elite pretentiousness on my part, I'm sorry.) Staff were professional, not overly chatty, but that's not what we were looking for- they knew the menu, had suggestions, were pleasant. AH so freaking good! The American breakfast sandwich was fire. Definitely a thick sandwich too. I tried it with an Asiago bagel which was good. I heard suggestions for salted rosemary bagel so I'll have to try that next time. I was also surprised by how good the coffee is! My iced SF vanilla latte was very good. While the place is small inside with not quite enough seating, it's such a vibe. The staff are great and service was great! I visited on a Saturday morning. There were 2 waves of rushes so the place is always poppin! On the bright side, their parking lot is great. I'm definitely going to have to add this to my brunch lineup!! read more

Tasty breakfast spot in Omaha! Come early so you can try their bagels. I've come after 11 AM twice and each they have been out of bagels. Can before 8AM, and luckily they were in stock. You order up at the front and have the different bread options up at the counter for you to choose from. They give you a number, then bring your food out to your table. They had focaccia the first time I came around 12PM and that was so fluffy, and with the sweet and savory sausage, it was fabulous! If they have it in the morning, the jalapeño cheddar bagel, had the perfect spice kick and texture. Great crunchy outside and soft on the inside, chefs kiss. This is a smaller spot, so seating is kinda limited, but it's super cute on the inside! Pink and has greenery along the window seal, so sitting the by window is a peaceful vibe. The breakfast sandwiches came fast and the coffee was even faster. This place is really small and a little overwhelming when going on a Saturday morning. Delicious bagels!! Probably the best in town. I got the American breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it was SO GOOD. Very small place. We got there early and the line grew very quickly. I enjoyed our drinks and thought it was a great quick breakfast outting. A lot of the tables were dirty and I never saw anyone cleaning them. The register asks for a tip but the customer is in charge of discarding dishes and grabbing any condiments and water. The very least it'd be nice for the tables to be wiped down. read more

Made a quick stop to know good on my way to the airport, which was about a 10 minute drive. Wow. This spot did not disappoint!! I ordered an iced banana bread latte, super tasty and had just the right amount of caffeine. The American breakfast sandwich on an Asiago bagel was absolutely delicious. The jalapeño schmear has a good kick to it and balanced well with the perfectly cooked soft egg and crispy hash brown. If you like spicy food and want a yummy breakfast sandwich, I recommend the American. The restaurant is cute and quaint. There's a good amount of seating inside with a minimalistic cozy vibe. Know Good did a burger night pop up, and wow! If you thought their breakfast was good, their dinners are as good or better! The event started at 6pm, and they were sold out before 7pm - I was so happy to get a burger before they ran out! The fries were crispy, with the perfect amount of seasoning. The house-made ranch paired perfectly and had just the right amount of dill. The burger was the star of the show. Double smash patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and bacon jam. WOW! Was able to make it to their burger night and it was phenomenal! I was so excited about my burger that I missed even getting a photo. I had the signature burger with bacon jam which was perfection. The burger was cooked well and had a bit of crisp on the outside. The bacon jam was well balanced between sweet and salty. I would not suggest putting it down once you picked it up because it was a bit of a mess but, well worth it. The homemade ranch was perfect with the fries! I highly recommend the Orange Boy bagel, pigeon fries, and coffee cake! Great, bold flavors and large portions!! The space only holds 40 people but it was PACKED with more than 40 when we went. Know Good has easily become our favorite breakfast spot in our neighborhood. A cute little shop with an unbeatable vibe. I personally try something new every time I go, but I love the Mordain. My husband loves the American but in the country loaf vs the bagel. Thats a total personal preference but their bagels are amazing. I also always have to get a sweet treat and the scones are perfect every time. I love the addition of a little extra salt to the sweet. I also had a black sesame latte that I cannot forget. I can't say enough good things about this place. Walked in early on a Saturday morning and it was popping! The line went quickly and the person taking our order was super nice. Opted for an everything bagel with the American! Although busy, we sat for maybe 8 minutes and our food was out and ready! It was so delicious. Truly love a good bagel and they do it right. When I heard that know good was run by the same brilliant minds of Sweet Magnolias, I knew I needed to go. We were sure to get there early on a Sunday morning because we have seen the last couple weeks that they've sold out and lines have been long, as expected. My husband and I were with one other couple and we were able to find a table. It was a little tight, but it's really exciting to see this many people turn out for a place. I ordered the Blake, which is a bagel sandwich with homemade sausage, a maple butter, an egg and cheese. You get to pick your type of bagel and I picked the asiago to add a little extra cheese. We also got a doughnut to share for the table and I got an iced vanilla latte. Starting with the doughnut, it was so fluffy on the inside yet a little bit crisp and crunch on the outside. It was exactly what I look for in a doughnut and I expected nothing less from them! The latte was perfectly sweet with well balanced espresso. It looks like they make their own flavor add-ins because while I didn't see them adding the vanilla syrup to my latte, I saw them scooping caramel from a container and I will definitely be ordering that next time because it looked so thick and luxurious in the latte. And this bagel sandwich. Amazing. The homemade bagel was so crunchy and chewy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The sausage patty had a little spice to it, which was perfectly balanced by the sweet maple butter on the sandwich. The melted cheddar added some more interest and the scrambled egg on top was cooked perfectly-- not too hard yet not runny enoigh that it's slipping and sliding all over the sandwich. While I did cut it in have to manage it better, It's definitely not a full fork and knife sandwich like some of their options might be which made it easier to eat. I will say the prices are a little high for a sandwich, but this isn't any ordinary sandwich. While it won't be my every weekend thing (though if I had the money, it would), I'm willing to make sure it's included in the budget! I stopped in on a gorgeous saturday morning, and myself and about 35 other people had the same idea: tasty bagel sandwiches to start the day! This very small neighborhood cafe is the second cafe in the space after the long time chicken joint called Richie's closed. It's bare bones inside, but I like the spare look and being small, there's no added clutter. One great thing is the wood bench along the far wall is easy to slide in and out of. The pastry case has lots of yummy looking muffins, scones, cookies, and coffee cake. I scored the last piece of coffee cake with a thin layer of what I think was cinnamon in the middle. It was delicious. The scrambled eggs were good, but I should have requested no salt and cooked dry. The fruit cup was a generous serving of lucious blackberries, grapes and strawberries. Also delicious. Order and pay at the counter and take your number to a table. The food came out quick and hot. My coffee was just drip coffee, but they have other coffee offerings. No one came around with a pot to offer a refill, so maybe they don't do that. When I was there, it looked like they had six employees, which seemed like a lot. They didn't engage with the customers much, and the person who took my order seemed very indifferent. The employees all hung around behind the counter chatting with each other. In fact, indifference to customers is a perfect description. A simple greeting at the register, at least one person asking if everything was okay midway, and a simple "Thanks for stopping in" would go a long way to ensure the success of this cafe. read more

I ordered the Basic Blake. Food came out right away which was great for how new the business was and how busy it was. I feel my sandwich was pretty basic. Feel it needed a spread or something besides the honey butter that it came with. It will be for some people but the sandwich was just not for me. I stopped in here on my way into work and ordered the American bagel. I took one bite and was already planning my next visit. Gaaaaaah the flavors in that bad boy. Insaaaaanely good. The jalepeno cream cheese was a nice touch. They have fresh bagels to choose from daily and there were only two kinds left in the early afternoon. I went with the Asiago bagel which was a good move. The staff were very friendly and the guy working at the front gave me great suggestions. These bagels are a hot commodity that sell out fast but deservedly so. With the same owner as sweet mags, I knew this new spot would be great and it definitely was. We actually had to wait about 15 minutes for more bagels to be ready but it was so worth the wait. So excited to have this new bagel shop and brunchette in the Field Club neighborhood! The food is fantastic -- the bagels are fresh, the sandwiches are creative, and there's truly something for everyone. I'm biased, but get The Karla, it's the best! I've seen some comments about the staff not being welcoming, but I've never found that to be the case. They're busy -- there's usually a line to the door (which tells you something!) -- but they're efficient, friendly, and get your food out quickly. As an adult, I'm not expecting anyone to fawn over me or walk me through the menu; they're focused on keeping things moving so we can all enjoy our food without a long wait.
