That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. The only difference was that they told me they would spray the gutters because they said it would look better but the wind wasn't cooperating and they rolled them. Which didn't matter because the guy that rolled them was a professional a.k.a David. The owner is Monty and he is a combat vet that will answer his calls. He was very patient with our HOA. The foreman Francisco was super attentive to detail and he made sure that everything was accounted for and clean. Very happy we hired them!

What I loved about Juan and his team is they are NOT sales people, they're real engineers who are focused on solving your problems and meeting your needs. Juan and his team are true solar experts and know exactly what they are doing - they were great at walking me through key details I should know about the system, how to best take advantage of having a solar system, and did their best to get me scheduled (in spite of multiple difficulties) for installation before the end of the year. Just for context, I've talked to another solar company where clearly they were just about trying to close the deal and sell sell sell, which really turned me off - it felt like they just wanted our money as opposed to wanting to understand what we really needed. Juan's team really shined here by just showing up to be real experts who are thoughtful about what system you need, as opposed to trying to close a deal. At times, I received incomplete answers to my questions, and occasionally I had to follow up more than once to get a response. I had interviewed 3 contractors and decided to hire Ahmad after talking to a reference he provided. Ahmad is a very intelligent person and worked extremely hard. He thinks in the shoes of customers when he has to make a hard choice. In my case, we were short of one piece of hard wood and the floor seller said the manufacturer does not the same brand any more, which was unexpected. Ahmad spent quite some time thinking the best strategy, and was able to use a similar type with minimal impact to the outlook of the floor. I am yet to review the work in person but my tenant told me that she could not tell the difference. Everything looks great too. I asked Ahmad a week later to fix a paint issue on another rental property that another handyman was not able to match the color after two attempts. Ahmad did the fix and the work looked great! He also fixed a carpet for this property. it was well done. Per my conversation with Ahmad, he was a civil engineer with a college degree and he worked for the US Army's projects before he moved to the US and do a living as a handyman. I would recommend him to others because he is skillful, thoughtful, and trust worthy.
