We are trying to replace our ancient oven/range only to find out that our current cutout was about a quarter inch too narrow for any new range to fit (29.75" instead of 30"). I hired Gerardo to tackle the job of trimming the quarter inch off of the counter top on one side and he did a fabulous job. We had him come to our home to fix our sliding door and putting curtains at two different times. The first time when he came to putting the curtains, my wife ended up giving him more than he quoted because she felt the work he did was worth than what he quoted; it was a daunting and dangerous job putting curtains up from the high ceiling and he had to have his son to help him. The 2nd time, I called him to replace the sliding door rollers. I didn't know he was the same person my wife hired earlier to install the curtains. He quoted for $140. I got a quote from a contractor for $570. My sliding door was very tight when opening and closing and I thought the rollers needed to be replaced. He figured out that the problem was not the rollers as they are still good. He cleaned the roller wheels and though the problem was not completely resolved but the door closes and opens better than before. He spent more than an hour figuring things out and trying to clean and making it better. I asked him how much he would charge. Oh said oh that is OK. I gave him some money. Can't have someone work for free. Very honest and his quotes are very cheap compared to other handy men out there. If you have any work that is not required a professional contractor to do, try him. I just want to help out an honest and hardworking man like him to get more work and jobs to support his family. read more

My story goes like this, like many of us, I am an online shopper and I bought a barn door to replace my broken door. Miscalculated my expertise and messed up the wall and the door. Found JC solutions online and called them. This lady picked up the call. Asked for pictures and from there on it was a smooth ride. Handy man came in, did his job exactly for what I expected them to do. But he couldn't fix the door as to what my wife wanted it to be. Keep in mind he could've walked away after the job and never come back and I would've been ok with it. But he suggested to book another time as he had prior commitments. We just finished a kitchen remodel with new counters and a new backsplash. Our counter installers had to remove a previously mounted over-range microwave in order to do the new backsplash. The new tiles were different from the previous backsplash so none of the holes aligned to re-mount the microwave as it sat back slightly deeper than before.
