We INSIST !! ..... let CK Construction do your remodel / construction projects!!…read moreMy wife and I hired Chris K. earlier this year to do our full kitchen remodel (tear-out from the studs all the way to final, new kitchen) Simply put, this general contractor has it all: Always operates in a professional manner, he's trustworthy, flexible, detailed, highly skilled, cleans up, organized, AND shows up on-time & communicates well. Even his sub-contractors (workers, electricians, countertop stone pros, etc.) are just as skilled and reliable as he is. Oh... and his pricing is quite fair too! We are VERY happy customers.. not only with the final outcome, but with the entire process.... made possible & lead by CK Construction. We'll be hiring them again next year for our next project. If you're looking, CK Construction is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

He replied that he had a backlog of a month or so, and to go ahead and get the stairs delivered and he would reach out if he got an opening in the meantime, and to follow up in a few weeks. After having the stairs sitting in my garage for a month, followed up and was again told it would be a few more weeks and he would reach out. Well, it's been six months and I became concerned that the warranty on the stairs would expire before I even got them installed. Ended up giving up on the endless wait and having someone else solve the problem.

The Melo family are great, they worked with us on what we where looking for, high vaulted ceilings, super built-in entertainment center where you cannot see any wires. The Melo Team found some issues with existing wiring in the recent updated kitchen where the "other" guy did not do the electrical up to standards even though the inspector signed off 6 years ago. They also fixed some issues that would cause problems in the future, the steal drain pipes where replaced and the clay sewer pipes where upgraded to pvc. The water pipes where fixed, now we have super water pressure (before our front yard needed 3 zones with less than5 heads per zone, now 1 zone with 8 heads water the front) The Melo Team gave us a new house with in budget (before some upgrades), the key is make sure you and your wife talk to your contractor together. The Mrs. Spoke to Paul about some upgrades and racked up some extra costs (I have to admit the upgrade where worth it, but we ate Top Romin for a month) did I say it was worth it. Paul even came by 3 months later after completion when we had some questions on lighting. For sure give Melo Construction a call for all you home enhancement needs big and small.

After a major water leak in my attic caused by a bursted pipe, I was left with over $40,000 in…read morewater mold mitigation damages then came another big bill.. rebuild. My home was largely uninhabitable - the master bedroom, a secondary room and bathroom upstairs, the downstairs living room, and even the garage were all severely affected. I got multiple rebuild quotes ranging from $60K to $80K, and most of the contractors I met either seemed overwhelmed by the scope or made it feel like my insurance job wasn't worth their time. Then a mutual friend introduced me to Jacob and Victor the brothers behind Garbros Builders, and from our very first meeting I knew they were different. They took the time to understand my situation, showed genuine empathy, respected my limited budget, and most importantly throughout the entire project asked, "what would YOU want done here?" That one question set the tone for the entire project. It was clear they cared about my house, not just getting the job done. Even though we were working with a tight insurance payout, I never felt like I had to settle. One standout moment: I had chosen a more affordable bathroom flooring option due to budget constraints, but somehow they picked up on what I really wanted -- and special ordered it for me, at no ADDITIONAL cost. That act of kindness and attention to detail really blew me away. Beyond their craftsmanship, what truly sets Garbros apart is their integrity. They were respectful, compassionate, and honest throughout the entire process. They provided detailed receipts, photos, and everything needed for the insurance side. The whole time, I felt like I was working with family. These brothers are true professionals and masters of their craft. I could go on and on, but the photos of their work speak for themselves. If you're looking for contractors who treat your home like their own, I can't recommend Garbros Builders enough.

The originally hired contractor abandoned the project leaving many issues, however in fact, QRS was able to fix all plumbing and electrical issues very professionally and according to the code. Shimon and QRS Remodeling did our recent kitchen/bath remodeling project. The project while it…read moreseemed small was quite complex because of all the reconfiguration we had to do in our casita suite with space limitations. It involved demolition, construction, electrical, plumbing, drainage, mechanical that even involved venting to the roof. I cannot say enough great things about Shimon, and pleased with his work. He is a man of high integrity and can be relied upon to follow through on finding proper solutions to the obstacles and problems faced along the way in the project. Our project required couple of change orderes, but we never even remotely felt like he was out to take advantage of us -- these were necessary changes. e.g., electrical panel and higher amp circuit, venting to the roof, etc. When you have a complex project that's likely to encounter unanticipated issues, then you want a trustworthy contractor who has both the capability AND integrity. Shimon has both. It goes without saying, you must communicate in detail, with specific details of your wants and needs not leaving too much for assumptions. Then you'll both be happier. If something is not doable, he'll flat out tell you as such. But he will still find a good solution for you. As our project was quite involved and complex with a lot of moving parts (demo, construction, flooring, countertops, cabinetry, appliances, plumbing, bathroom fixtures, electrical, mechanical, painting), it required good workmanship and needed to pass multiple inspections from the City. Shimon knew exactly what he was doing and scheduled inspections with the City at every stage -- demo, framing, rough plumbing, rough electrical, mechanical/roof, and then the final inspection. All inspections were passed without issues at first attempt. The final inspection required two visits from the City but Shimon was thorough with all necessary details and fixes, and it went smoothly. He is also a fair businessman and he takes payments as he completes each phase of the work. He will expect payment immediately upon completion. Be sure you're ready with a check. We had no issue with this as we were satisfied with his work and he earned our trust by making good on his promises.
