I called the Pegasus looking to get my wood RV/pedestrian gate replaced with an iron RV/ pedestrian gate, and I'm glad I did. Even though I was a little sketchy due to the negative reviews left here on their yelp. However, I brought up my concern of the negative reviews to Aida, and even though she really didn't have to, she addressed it. I was already set on having them be the ones to take on my project because looking passed the negative I couldn't help but to focus on the positive; and that was the fact the the work Cruz does looked amazing. I did research and tried to find another company, but what other companies did not have that Cruz DID have was a showcase of the work being offered (and Pegasus Iron Works had over 100 photos for me to reference) I ended up moving forward with Pegasus and Cruz explained to me he can build me any type of style gate that I want, to just tell him how I wanted it. I gave him a few ideas letting him know that I wanted my gate to be simple, but at the same time bold. After speaking with Cruz, Aida took over from there handling the final quote, and design, installation date etc.. Cruz's schedule was pushed out about a month which was fine with me because I also had concrete work that had to be done first prior to the gate install. However Cruz made sure that he worked me in his schedule with the concrete company to have the posts set. I must be honest during the process there were some miscommunication that had taken place on both of our end, it wasn't anyone's fault. I'm not gonna point the finger and say it was all them, when in reality I should have maybe been more clear on certain details. I can go on and on, but at the end of the day I'm very happy with the way Cruz designed my gate. Simple and Bold! He did say a few times before starting the build of my gate.. "trust me, I promise, you will like it " But he was wrong, because I LOVE it ! Also, let me add once I found out that Pegasus was a small family owned business, it was hard for me to be picky on the miscommunication part that took place during the process. Cruz is a very hard worker, has great talent, and is good at what he does. I realize that it must not be easy to run a small business providing the A1 quality work with a major level look like he does. And don't get it twisted, just because this is a small business, doesn't mean its gonna cheap... besides, good work is not cheap, and cheap work is not good anyway. You get what you pay for. Aida , Cruz, and his small crew that works along side of him did a great job. I've gotten many complements from my neighbors. *side note.. I seen a "bad" review by a Gary C. that left photos saying that anyone can jump his fence remove the dead bolt (cane bolt) and the gate will open right up. It seems that they might just have to add an additional cane bolt (so two cane bolts) to fix their minor issue.. that's what I had Cruz do.. no big deal. Just remember communication is the key. Our fence blew down so we needed it replaced quickly. We received some ridiculous quotes which I can only assume was due to the whole supply and demand issue, then Pegasus came through with a GREAT quote. I am so happy we went with them, they finished super fast and our fence is beautiful and high quality. We didn't get a full iron fence, jut a gate, but they're just as skilled with regular fences as they are iron ones. Aida is the contact and she is really knowledgeable, sweet and most importantly super responsive, so you will always have a go to for any questions. I had a nice looking gate installed about 9 months ago. Recently discovered that the double gate with a dead bolt lock provided NO SECURITY AT ALL! Anyone could jump over the gate, lift the latch and the gate opens right up. I called the owner 4 times and each time I was promised that her husband would come and give me suggestions on how to add some type of security to the gate. But each time I was ghosted. No call, no text, just left me hanging. I told them I am willing to pay for whatever they come up with to help me. I still like the design of the gate but don't expect any follow up help once they have your money, which is very expensive btw. read more

If I could leave less than one star, I would! It's hard to put into words how disappointed I am with my experience with this "company". I put company is quotes, because they do not have a business license listed through the city of Manteca and even from the state of CA. We were quoted an original price and were clear on the materials/fence boards we wanted. We agreed on contract, price and materials and waited patiently for the delivery and installation of fencing. Weeks later we were told that Lowe's delivered the wrong fence boards. I understood that things happen, so I reiterated AGAIN what fence board material and color I wanted. I was then told by Aida that we would be upcharged an additional $241.05 for the exact same materials we were originally quoted for. I NEVER changed what I wanted. It was clearly a miscommunication of the company's part. Pegasus was unwilling to compensate the additional charge so that we could move forward with the project. I was left feeling blindsided, confused and defeated. The "company" has refused to finish the project and has NOT refunded me the deposit I paid them. It's been the most awful experience I've ever had. I have text message proof to back all of this. Please contact me if you would like to see/get more detailed information on this incompetent "company". At this point my lawyer has advised me to take them to small claims court to recoup my refund. We moved to a new home and knew exactly who we wanted to put in our side yard gate since we had them put in a gate at our previous residence, and we could not be any happier with the craftsmanship of their work. They are always very professional and courteous when they are at our home and on the telephone. There was a mixup in the paint name/number, and the color did not match the exterior of our house perfectly, so they came out removed the boards painted brand new boards with the correct color and then replaced them. They wanted to make sure that the color matched perfectly for me. They went above and beyond by replacing the borers with brand new ones so that the old color wouldn't show through. The gate looks like it was built with the house. It is amazing. I would recommend to his company to everyone who needs work done at their property. read more

I have a man gate and an RV gate designed from them. 2 years old and super solid! It took me a while to choose the design, mostly because I liked too many options. I pulled the trigger and couldnt be happier! The wood planks have not bowed and the powder coat still shines like new. I was referred to this company from a coworker when he overheard my frustration of trying to locate a gate builder for RV access. Right place at the right time certainly applies here. Aida and her husband Cruz are two of the easiest people to work with. They worked with me and around my schedule to install the fence posts during the installation of my concrete. The quality of work that was done far exceeded our expectations. I have seen other gates built by their competitors in my neighborhood and they don't hold a candle to mine. All of the metal is powder coated and the boards are stained to match the color of my house. Fantastic job!! Don't be swayed by other negative comments posted here. We hired Pegasus Iron Works to take down and replace two fences that were installed by an unlicensed contractor. The fences were actually bringing down the value of the house. Aida was the first person to come to our home so that we could tell her exactly what we wanted including the color of the paint to go on the wood portion of the new fence. Aida was very business-oriented, listened to our request, wrote down what we wanted, took measurements, and she earned an A+++ for customer service skills. We were promised a masterpiece. That is nowhere near what we got. The powder coat finish was damaged and the owners Cruz and Aida just blamed their vendor. Took no accountability. In addition the gate was painted the wrong color and had to be removed to be painted again. When it was reinstalled the re-painting was poorly done. Again, they didn't take any responsibility. Aida doesn't return phone calls and communicates very poorly. Our install date was moved three times and we were finally installed 3 weeks after our original promise date. Not recommended!!! Do your research before giving your buisness to Aida/pegasus iron gate. Aida very unproffesional does not return phone calls, text messages, when she does respond back it's an excuse of some sort why she hasn't got back to you. My original estimate increase after we had agreed to the initial contract, my 10 foot fence extension for the RV Gate was not stain to match the RV Gate that I paid to have installed, they ended up taking the 10 foot fence section back off and stain it, they did not stain between the fence boards so you could still see the color of the wood. Ended up having to restain that section myself just to have it look right. Then we ask for 2 estimates after the RV Gate job was complete, never did get my estimate I called, text Aida for the estimate never return my messages, after 2 months past I tried for the hell of it to see if I could get a hold of Aida, and I did get a hold of her ask her about my estimate, she comes up with another excuse of being sick.
