    Queso Napolitano
    Martha G.

A hidden gem in Isleton that I found on my way home from Sac., and I'm truly glad I made the pit stop. Service was great and food was even better! Plus everything was made in house. I tried the Chile con Queso, a very different version of a typical Chile relleno. This grilled Pasilla pepper was filled w/mozzarella cheese & mashed potatoes, served w/chunky salsa ranchera. It was tasty but I still prefer the standard chile relleno. I took the cilantro rice and black beans to go. The next day I made a burrito and it was good. The dessert, Queso Napolitano was to die for! It was rich & creamy w/caramel and topped with strawberry jam. Mirles, the pastry chef confirmed she made the flan like cheesecake with the homemade strawberry jam. A must try dessert!

Come here for some amazing authentic comfort food. We all left with big smiles and happy memories. Service: so friendly and so welcoming. The chef, Memo, came out and talked to us. He told us how Memo's came about. He is from the Bay Area and was a chef for high end restaurants in Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Brought it right here in this cute little community called Isleton. Nice touches such as they roast their own coffee, highly filtrated water system, European cooking techniques which create the outstanding flavors. The whole place is so clean and cozy. We will definitely be back and it's worth the 1 hour drive it took us to get here.

Three of us had lunch at this restaurant today and found it a delightful experience. One of us had the vegan skewers, one had a shrimp dish, and the third had street tacos. We got shrimp ceviche for the table and lovely Prosecco to drink. The service was superb and the atmosphere is delightful.

    Island tower.

Food was incredibly fresh, and delicious, every bite was a delight. We ordered the Island tower. Which is essentially a breakfast burrito stacked in a perfect circle comes with chips. Delicious !!!!!! Service was spot on!! And quick. With a smile. Ambiance is sooo cozy and very clean. This place is a Gem in the city of Isleton. Def coming back!!

I can't believe we waited so long to try this new spot in Isleton! The resraurant is small but the vibe is spot on and makes you feel comfortable. Hannah was our server and she was so sweet and very helpful with any questions we had about the menu. 10/10 service! Memo even came up to our table to introduce himself and ask us how we were doing. Everything we ordered was amazing! Possibly the best carnitas ive ever had. We will definitely be coming back to try everything else on the menu.

    Carnitas burrito

Awesome fat burritos featuring scratch made meats and salsas. Extremely high end quality, but reasonably priced. No low-end fillings. Staff and owner super friendly. Owner was explaining to us how he makes this special "tomatillo rice" for the burritos. Sweet espresso machine. All in all a great food experience. :) I used to spend 1970's and 1980's summers on my dad's sailboat tied up to the trees along steamboat slough near here, which was a HUGE scene at that time,,,tons of liveaboard boaters. And we'd sometimes drive here to isleton for gas. Ice. Food. Etc. It's nice to see this 19th century historic town revitalized now as a vibrant restaurant scene. So cool! I want to try the ceviche upon my next visit to Memo's.

    Great wine

I believe the food and service was 10 + stars service was great four great service awesome . I had tiramisu wonderful and lam chops yummy Will be back

Shrimp salad - delicious prawns under the pickled onion.

My friends and I had a fabulous lunch experience at Memo's on August 6th. I added "experience" for good reason. Our server, Jorge, couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. Then, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, carefully and beautifully prepared and presented with pride. Restaurant owner, Memo, also stopped by our table to chat and told us about his career in the restaurant business and how it led him to build and open his own restaurant in Isleton. It's a small restaurant with charming decor that feels very "homey." Their margaritas are delicious and they offer mimosas and many different wines. And they even sell bags of their own special brand of roasted coffee beans. Lastly, if you go you must try their dessert that's a cross between flan and cheesecake. It is served in light caramel sauce like flan, but it has the consistency of a rich velvety cheesecake. It's topped with whipped cream and berry puree and oh my, it was the best! All-in-all it was a very special dining experience and had such a great time we were the last diners to leave.

We finally made it out to Memo's in Isleton and had a great experience. The cochinita burrito was excellent, the ceviche tasted incredibly fresh, and the sangria was really good. Just a warning, the salsa that comes with the ceviche is seriously hot. They warn you at the table, and they're not exaggerating. We finished with the coconut flan and tiramisu (yes, both), and both were unreal. The food was great, but the people running the place made the experience even better. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and clearly cared about what they were serving. Memo's is absolutely worth the drive. We'll be back a lot more often.

Soft opening 10/19/25 - Party of 3 @ 11:30a We were welcomed by owners and staff by the entrance along with samples of both shrimp ceviche & mini street tacos. They offered limited menu for soft opening. We ordered a few mini street tacos which came with mild roasted tomatillo cilantro & spicy roasted tomatoes habanero (on point!). We're definitely looking forward to trying the full menu after Wednesday, 10/22/25.

    Service was excellent!

The food was amazing! Fresh, seasoned very well, and nice portions! They have a full bar and Margaritas are out of the world! Customer service was excellent, catered to our every need. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!

Carnitas burrito and street tacos! Burrito was delicious and not dry!

Exceptional customer service and a truly delightful experience! The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor--absolutely delicious. The space feels wonderfully cozy, with thoughtful design and charming decorations that make you want to linger. Don't be fooled by the exterior; this spot is a hidden gem worth discovering! Be sure to save room for their outstanding desserts--they're not to be missed. My husband loved his coffee, and our friendly server, Hanna, went above and beyond by showing us the actual coffee beans sourced from Chiapas, Mexico (known for their smooth, nutty notes with hints of chocolate--such a nice touch!). Highly recommend this place for a relaxing, tasty meal. We'll definitely be back!

Superb Peruvian cuisine in downtown Pleasanton…read more Our daughter went to Peru this spring and wanted to share some of her culinary experiences with us, so we stopped by for a Sunday evening dinner. We were served ably by the courteous Carlos, who started us off with tasty ham and cheese empanadas (served with a superb spicy aioli), and refreshing guava and maracuya (passion fruit) mocktails. Unfortunately, they were out of chicha spritz, which our daughter was craving, and all other types empanadas - beef, chicken, veggie - were finished! Then we turned our attention to entrées, and ordered causa, pan con chicharrón, and aji de gallina. The causa was a visual treat, the crispy pork belly sandwich was my favorite item on the menu, and the shredded chicken and potatoes over rice was the most filling! Of course, we left room for dessert! They were again out of one of our daughter's favorites - the choco lucuma trifle - so we had to make do with alfajores and lucuma ice cream. These were delicious and were a wonderful way to end the meal. Total bill was about $150 before tip. We will definitely stop by again to try some of the menu items that were not available. Thank you, Bravazo, for making Pleasanton your home!

Coming in for dinner service, we started with the Pan con Chicharron, a sandwich with a filling of crispy deep-fried pork, picked onions, sweet potato, and aioli on a crusty baguette. The flavors of this sandwich were delicious, though the pork was a little too greasy and sinewy. Curious about their creative dishes, we next had the Bravazo Paella, an iron skillet of short-grain rice cooked with aji amarillo sofrito, fish broth, saffron, shrimp, mussels, chicken, beef, chorizo, green beans, carrots, and peas--a one pot meal that was great for sharing. But my favorite dish of all was the Fettuccine Bravazo, which came with fettuccine in a creamy yellow huancaina sauce (made of queso fresco and yellow pepper) topped with shaved Parmesan, served alongside Lomo Saltado, cubes of marinated top sirloin stir-fried with onions, tomatoes, and peppers in a savory sauce. The huancaina pasta was creamy and delicious, and the beef in the Lomo Saltado was perfectly tender and juicy--what a creative way of combining two Peruvian classics into a single dish! Overall, the food and service here were both memorable, though the menu prices were undoubtedly high for what we got.

I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.
