Had a salad through office catering, and they were tasty. I would definitely come back to dine in.

We went here and had a great time. The service was also good and I appreciated that our waiter knew to put lids on the kids drinks, bring extra napkins and didn't act differently with the mess they made. The pizza was delicious - no leftovers! We also had a groupon and the waiter made sure we used it all up, if we didn't we wouldn't get a refund so it would go to waste and I greatly appreciated his help in that. We will come back. read more

This location is BY FAR the best location in the valley. The bar manager is absolutely amazing and ALWAYS makes sure all the tables are good even if he is not the waiter for them. The music is absolutely fantastic too. They aren't playing any shitty new-age trash music. Always hitting me with the sick throwbacks. Keep up the amazing work and I will always bring new people over here. read more

Came for breakfast...wished we hadn't. Service was extremely slow....a minimum of 20 minutes to get the food and it wasn't even busy. I ordered the stuffed French toast on challah. It read like it was going to be glorious, but when it finally came, it was served cold and the French toast aspect was basically non existent. The challah seemed to have a fleeting moment in the egg wash, so it was extremely dry and well, boring. The compote was ok. "Stuffed" is also relative as everything was just on top of the wanna be French toast. It looked delicious, just wasn't. My kids split the jack cakes and they didn't care for them. It was more corn mealy than buttermilk. Their order was also cold - pancake, eggs, bacon. Maybe a cold breakfast is the standard. The fastest thing served to us was the bill. We won't be coming back for the 'best breakfast in town' and don't recommend it for you unless you're interested in subpar service with extremely lackluster food. read more

Tonight was so busy! Of course because it's New Year's Eve. Seemed to be short staff but even being a mad house Gabe the bartender was so nice and kept checking up on us as well with chris! They were so apologetic but hey we get it! Thank you guys for making our night so awesome! You guys were team players tonight! read more

We won't return. In for lunch, the place deserted and it still took over 30 minutes for our pizza. How do they handle busy night service? Soggy crust, just not up to standard when compared to other MM establishments. Gets points for the apple wood bacon. read more

Yum!! This place is so good!! Didn't get the baked wings this time but it is one of our favorite items on the menu. Got the Large Holy Shiitake pie with bacon added, definitely my favorite pizza here. And the Caesar salad was exceptional! read more

Went here for lunch ans breakfast before. Overall food is good and price reasonable. 2 things we had from there are phenomenal. First off, the holy shitake pizza is amazing. White cheese my a variety of mushrooma topped with a truffle aoili. The truffle flavor really comes through in the aoili and tied the earthy flavors of the different really well. Their french toast is amazing best French toast ive ever had. I'm usually not a big french toast fan and I love it here. Steak and eggs breakfast was good $9.95 Steak was just a steak but the butter mushroom topping added a nice touch, comes with 3 eggs and choice of toast or fruits or biscuit, I added side of green chili gravy for small charge. Their biscuit is good the size of a grapfruit. Green chilli gravy was ok - green chili flavor was there but the consistancy is not thick and creamy as gravy should be. We also ordered the breakfast pizza - that was tasty as well. read more

I left a $20 cash tip on a $54 tab, but apparently that wasn't enough for them and they charged me an extra $10 on my card that I didn't authorize. I'll never go here again. read more

Best breakfast in The Valley! French press coffee with tantalizing. Steak and eggs was spot on. Nice breakfast cut of steak thick enough to actually cook appropriately. Their steak butter is deliciously rich. Potatoes are fantastic. We also had JohnnyCakes, always a nice treat! The cornflour added a nice sweet flair to the buttermilk batter. Cooked to perfection lightly crisped on the edges and moist inside. Definitely return for this uncommon delectable! Service is always attentive without being irritating. Overall, seriously a fantastic breakfast at at even more impressive cost. Still the clenched for this breakfast joint was the French Press coffee! Thanks Mellow Mushroom! read more

Tamara is Amazing we love her as a bartender... such a great server aswell. Please add and keep her as a bartender.

My family and I thought we would try out a new restaurant.... Mellow Mushroom sounded interesting. When we arrived, there were only a handful of customers there. We waited to be seated, but NO ONE EVER showed up. A few people glanced our way, but never made ANY effort to assist us. We asked one of the cooks/chefs behind the food counter and he assured us that someone would be with us shortly, but NO ONE SHOWED. We waited several minutes- so they had ample time to respond to our presence. We will NOT be back!. read more

This spot is absolutely amazing. Robert was bartending and he was great. Excellent customer service. I will definitely be coming back. Also, what a respectful guy! read more

Pizza was amazing! High quality ingredients and a plethora of toppings available to build your own pizza. Broad selection of craft draft beers while also having the option for staple domestic beers. Manager was awesome - clearly service oriented which is important to us. Prices are higher than other pizza establishments; however, for a special pizza night out, this is our place!! #yougetwhatyoupayfor read more

Just wanted to do another review since my wife and I have gone back several times since my last review. The service continues to be excellent and the food is well prepared and consistently of high quality. I want to give special thanks to the bar manager Jenna, she goes out of her way to insure that I get the drink that I like and always prepares it well. In fact, when she sees us come in, she starts preparing it because she remembers what I like. She has a great personality, and always seems to enjoy her customers. Anthony is another great waiter (now manager) that is always welcoming and gives great service. We tend to eat late and it is really great that they serve food until 1 AM, one of the few East Valley that does so, other than the breakfast type establishments (IHOP, Denny's). Even though we are there late, the food is always prepared well and timely in arriving at our table. Keep up the good work, and thank you! read more

This place has a genius for a beer purchaser behind the scenes and she's more than willing to ensure she is leaps and bounds ahead of her competition. There is a catch: Proper beer glassware is non-existent and the bartenders don't seem to care about the luxuries their purchaser gets for them to sell. I wish I had the chance to talk with their purchaser as I am sure she has some great stories to tell and some excellent beer recommendations. Storage space seems to be the reason why the beer glassware is lacking however if they had some snifter glasses they would be a must stop every week! Get some snifters and bartenders that care about your products! read more

SO.......It's my once a year dinner with my dad and we decide on M.M. WTF? I was completely embarrassed by the prices. (sorry dad) $27 for a white pizza? That's just cheese right? As I see my father struggling to cope with the outrageous prices......"Dad, Im not that hungry we can just get one pizza and split it. (There were 6 of us) So we all sat around the table uncomfortably and stared at the remaining 2 pieces, each of us planning to kill because of the hunger pains. No complaints about the service or atmosphere. It's just EXPENSIVE to eat here. ITS JUST PIZZA MAN read more

I ordered two small pizza and one medium all with three toppings. One pizza only had two topping and one of the topping was wrong and the other topping (ham) only two pieces of ham was on it. The other pizzas was also skimpy of toppings. I doubt I'll go there again. read more

We ate at this location last night. Our spinach artichoke appetizer was served on a plastic, stained worn dish. The bread served with the dish was not toasted it was stale and cold. The dip itself was creamy but tasteless. The small Greek salad was surprisingly good and filling. The kitchen seems to really not have much pride its product. read more

Update to last review, ordered delivery through yelp. Requested no olives no mushrooms. Pizza showed up with them. Call the restaurant, they won't help, call yelp, they cannot fond the order. I recently stopped in Mellow Mushroom for lunch. I used to live in Atlanta for several years and was well familiar with the chain. I don't recall visiting any Arizona locations in the past, and this location was built just a few months ago, so certainly my first time here. The weather was beautiful and they had a nice outside bar seating section. The other side of the bar was also enjoyed benefit from the open air. I decided to go with a pepperoni and mushroom calzone. I knew the food was good and it certainly lived up to the expectations. What really surprised me was the bar and the not only the number of craft beers, but the number of exceptionally good ones. Over 40 taps of draught beer and an excellent selection of bottles. Stouts are my favorite and they have a great selection that day from Prairie Artisan Barrel Aged Bible Belt, to Big Bad Baptista, Elevation Cinnamon Oil Man, to a variety of other styles. They also have a happy hour that I would love to check out the next time. If you are looking for a great pizza and an incredible selection of beer (and draughts coming in at 16oz and 20oz), this is the place! read more

Restaurant has a very open air feel, lighting is great, outside patio has lots of tables, bar has optional doors to cater to the inside and outside patrons. On this visit I had: Bruschetta was served on thin pieces of bread, the mix was very tasty. Italian hoagie it was very good, bread had a good taste, meats were nice and fresh. Hot wings were juicy and fresh, had just the right amount of bite for me. Service was great, our server was attentive, kitchen got the food out in a nice timely matter. read more

Mellow Mushroom pizza is expensive but so unique and gourmet that it's justified. Their specialty pies are an experience that you won't find at any other pizzeria (opt for the Holy Shiitake, it's incredible) The reason this location gets less than 5 stars is that their pizzas are not of consistent quality. Opt for thin crust or else your $30 pizza might be majority crust with a small cheese center. It's as if the cooks are told to use so much dough that they're willing to give you a giant breadstick as a pizza! read more

Ok, as a former Atlantan, this downturn in quality at my local mellow mushroom is a little disheartening. Our waitress tonight was amazing and on point. Service and detail oriented, each star of this review go to her. Food was ok. Nothing brilliant but ok. Price is on the high side - over 3 bucks for a coke (yikes) and our medium pizza with two toppings was over 20 bucks. That's ok because we're mellow mushroom fans from way back. The restaurant was pretty empty for 730 on a Saturday night and oddly empty as compared to their fellow eateries across the parking lot and street. We thought it strange that we got right in without a wait when all the other spots were packed. Pizza is pizza. Hard to screw up. For the relative emptiness- service was a touch slow but overall fine. Our biggest complaint- gnats swarming us at our table - while eating - gross. Both my husband and I found ourselves swatting gnats away from our faces and food multiple times during the meal. This restaurant is barely a year old. I suspect a dirty bar with dried up sugary food sources as the main attraction for the gnats. Hope this isn't a sign of serious issues. Ps - please bring back the cinnamon sugar pretzels. read more

We drove from South Chandler to the Mesa location to pickup a phone in order. The order wasn't ready, which was fine as they told us 30 minutes and our drive was 20 minutes. We ended up waiting another 20 minutes for our order. Luckily I checked our pizzas and noticed mushrooms were missing on one of them, but had added sausage which we didn't order. The bar tender was great and had some mushrooms added on for us. Unfortunately, I didn't check my salad until I got home. I ordered a garden salad with ranch dressing and ended up with a Caesar salad....I dislike that salad so much, so that went to waste. Staff was nice & pizza was good....just our order was inaccurate. read more

11:50 Pm got here for a quick bite. We love this place but late nighter is not worth it! We are still here... and still no good it's been an hour. So stupid, it's all appetizers we ordered. People next to us just as frustrated as we are. Never coming here late night for food! It's funny then the manager comped the table next to us. Then when we complained about the time of the food. He came back and said food is coming out now.... and you put in the order at 12:15. He told us he has one cook in the back and blamed it on him. Anyways last time coming. read more

I've been to this location probably half a dozen times and each time the food is pretty good and the service is friendly and attentive. I have been here once when they must had been down a cook or two because after waiting for an hour to get our order we left. It only happened the one time so I figured something happened and the restaurant was kind of stuck that night. Aside from that this place is usually a sure bet on a decent meal for a decent price. I would say if you want a good variety to choose from with a relaxed vibe this would be a good place to choose. Mellow Mushroom won't be the best pizza you've had but its pretty good! read more

Would've liked to give this place 5 stars but the wait for the pizza was terrible. I think we waited about 45min after ordering our food before we got it to the table. The reason I'm still giving 4 stars is that our server was super nice (not that knowledgable though for what they had) and the food was delicious. We got 2 different pizzas and loved both of them. We also got the pretzel/cheese appetizer... Not so good in my opinion. We liked the general hippie vibe of the place and its theme. We will be back, but perhaps to order in before we show up. Not sure what the problem was. It was busy but not packed. read more

My friends and I got good service and the pizza was good. I left my cane there and when I called they said they would keep it for me. When I came into the restaurant today to get my cane, the waitress greeted me half way to give me my cane. My gf and I came here on a slow weekday night. We were the only table in the whole restaurant besides some employees friends at the bar. The entire time we saw the waiter 2 times and it took an hour to make 2 entrees. The employees were more concerned with socializing with their friends. Also the food is very overpriced. For 2 people expect to spend 40 or more. The quality was standard, not bad but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't recommend it. read more
