I have visited several of this chain's locations and think this location is one of the best. It is newer, full of natural light, features a decently sized bar, and has a large patio. My partner and I normally sit on the partially covered patio so that our dog can join us. Servers here are super friendly and even provide water and treats for our pup. The pizza is well-made and the menu has a ton of unique flavor offerings, including sandwiches, salads, and other non pizza options. It is a pain to pick up orders to go from this location because parking is always a challenge, so be prepared to have to park some distance away and walk in. read more

Just an ok experience. The service was really slow for how dead it was in there but other than that, the server was sweet and took our order correctly. We went to this location a few months ago and ordered a gluten free pizza and it was AMAZING! It was fluffy dough and cooked perfectly. So we went back today to order the same pizza. Except this time it came out on a very thin, super hard (like I nearly chipped a tooth) crust. It had the worst texture of any gf pizza I've ever tried. I think maybe it was old or stale? But it was completely different than what we previously had. So we either got served a gluten pizza (when we ordered gluten free) or they changed the gluten free crust to some cement mixture. If you are gluten free I suggest getting a salad or going elsewhere. I've had some really excellent gf pizzas but mellow mushroom just got removed from that list unfortunately. read more

We got the large pizza of House special half (meats, veggie & olives) and Pacific Rim half (has pineapple and jalapeños for a little kick). Both flavor were delicious and it was hard to choose the winner. This location is uniquely decorated with the space & airplane theme, so it is also a fun place to bring small kids as they can enjoy these decor. The cloud 9 wings are divine also when they aren't drowning in white sauce.They even have delicious drinks check out the sunrise paradise drink it has candied coconut shreds on the rim. Took my daughter here for a father/daughter date a few months ago while my wife was on a trip with our son. We ordered just some fries and a pepperoni pizza. Every other table was getting their pizza/food before us. Even our waitress kept apologizing for the delay. My impatient 4 year old kept asking me whah was taking so long for pizza. TL;DR: Large venue with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Good pizza and service Came here at an off hour (4PMish on a Sunday) to grab some food, and there were still a decent amount of tables. Since it was such a nice day, we decided to sit outside. Their patio has covered areas as well as tables in the sun. Service was great. Very attentive and nice. Our server made sure to check in on us every so often to make sure we didn't need anything. The manager was also going throughout the restaurant, table to table, to ensure everyone's experience was good. All staff were wearing masks, menus are online to ensure cleanliness, and tables were staggered for social distancing The price is a little higher for pizza, but these are gourmet pizzas, so it is understandable. The large pizzas are also HUGE. FOOD: ~ Spinach and artichoke dip: So yummy! very creamy with good ratio of veggies to cream cheese, topped with melty cheese. The bread slices that came with it was delicious ~ Pacific Rim: Really good combination of spicy and sweet. I love that the bacon is large slices rather than crumbled. Jalapenos were cooked to the perfect texture. Only criticism is the pineapple chunks were really big. Wish they were a bit smaller so I can have it more spread out ~ House Special: standard "supreme" like pizza ~ I just love the dough here. The crusts are big and puffy, but is much thinner where there are toppings. I wish they had just plain breadsticks. Years ago, I used to go to the Richmond locations fairly often, but was super sad to see they got rid of a lot of my favorite pizza combinations (Thai or Dye, imy). My wife and I left the house in the car on a mild Friday evening with no clear destination for dinner out and somehow wound up at the Mellow Mushroom. We were able to get an outside table to enjoy the amazing spring weather. Their outside tables were socially distanced and they had grabbed some common area space to add even more. Our server promptly appeared to welcome us and get our drink order. My first question was which of these forty something beers listed here do you actually have on tap. "All of them" was her reply. There were numerous IPAs that made the decision tough but I picked the first double IPA I saw and loved it. My wife needed help with all the choices but our server quickly narrowed things down for her and was very knowledgeable about the beers available. She selected a Mustang Sally lager from a nearby local brewer and enjoyed it. After spending the day working in the yard as well as washing the car, we were hongry (sp). We ordered the bruschetta to take the edge off as we knew we were going to order pizza and have to wait a bit for it. Their menu list calories next to each item which is a mixed blessing for me. I probably would have ordered the pretzels with beer cheese but the calorie count was too high. We were happy with our appetizer choice though. The dish came with five pieces of freshness and lightness and as usually is the case with bruschetta one cannot keep all the bits on the bread when eating it. The menu had at least ten specialty pizzas that all sounded great. I suppose you could go rogue and get whatever ingredients you wanted on your pie but we found one that sounded good to us. We choose the house specialty that had plenty of meat for me and some veggies for the wife. One has a choice of thick or thin crust and looking at a nearby table with a thick crusted pie that settled it for us. Large House pizza with thick crust it was. Our pie seemed to arrive at our table in no time. First thing that hit me was the smell. It smelled fresh and looked great. We dug in and loved it. Because of the calories again listed on the menu, I stopped at two slices and saved my other two for the next day. We had a great meal and time here and will likely be back again to enjoy a different one of their pizzas. read more

Uncomfortable and siippery metal chairs (see picture) that always had my feet always dangling like a little kid (average height man here) and constantly sliding off. It's loud, is well lit, has lots of avionics-related decor, some bright colors, and plenty of delicious smells. All of your senses trying to keep up to work overtime will make you feel alive. Some people may even meltdown due to how much is going on at once. Service is mellow and with a smile. Staff is great! Food came in about the time you'd expect for a pizza. Food...well, they have lots of pizzas. Only a few have mushrooms on them, which is fine since I'm allergic. But it does make one wonder about the name. I recommend building your own pizza, as some of their combinations are just a little weird. If you build your own, you can get much weirder. Fly that freak flag on your pizza. read more

In fact, I would probably just make that my meal next time. Our server was young (and maybe a bit inexperienced) but he did a great job and was very friendly and overall service was good. Food is OK but they partnered with a terrible delivery partner, UberEats, who not only did not deliver my order, but their driver lied about delivering it. After using their only means of communication, chat interface, I found that UberEats does not ever remediate their failures. That is their stated business model. Remarkable and terrible. Thank goodness I used PayPal who did remedy this problem- they understand the concept and value of good Customer Service. Not really sure if we came to a resolution or not, I know I'm not the only ones be that's had this problem, but I do appreciate her coming and talking to me. I started coming to this location excited to play poker on wednesdays with my friends, good food good drinks. However it's extremely frustrating when drinks take 20-30 minutes. My food came out wrong one night and the server was rude about it and all I was trying to do was get it fixed. Fun guys and fun gals, having lived in NYC prior to moving here, I was def not expecting to have a halfeay decent pizza spot to fill my pizza fix. Weirdly enough, a pizza chain like this pleasantly surprised me. This is our go-to pizza place after having tried a half dozen local places in a 15 mile radius. The dough and crust are a perfect flavor of parm goodness, and a slightly crispy texture. If you get delivery or pick-up that texture is lost if you don't eat the pizza within 15-20 min. The lemon teaser is a great flavored, non alcoholic drink which we get with our pizza. During warmer weather sitting outside is ideal if you have a kid since they can run around in the little area outside, and sometimes there is live music. House special is our go-to. Tried almost all the other ones but don't really stack up to the house. read more

The service was pretty bad. The place was practically empty and it took about 20 minutes to clear a table and get a spot for two kids and high chairs and four adults. The food was OK we did not get our appetizer and told him three times that we don't want it and we Got charged for it still and they brought it to us while we were about to leave still asking if we wanted it. My daughters mac & cheese was reheated and I got burnt from the dish. It was terribly hot too hot to give to a kid, the broccoli that was given with it was very cold so obviously the mac & cheese was microwaved splatter everywhere. Willie the manager has cultivated a wonderful atmosphere- friendly and laid back but with prompt and attentive service. Her insightful knowledge of the brews on tap was excellent, and it was delightful chatting with her each time she came to our table to check on us.
