Honestly was not sure what to expect but their theme is a mix of aviation and drugs? I guess to signify how "high" you can get? The mixed signals in decor was the weirdest part for me tbh. I'm a good vibes and good food person and the vibes were not it for me The pizza was good, I liked the crust the best. My thing is, the smalls were already $20 each. We got 2 small pizzas (4 slices each) and the total was $40, and when you see the pics of the pizza you'll see why I had to dock it a star. The amount of pizza for the price is NOT worth it. The buffalo chicken was good, good chicken, good sauce ratio. The house special pizza was supposed to have pepperoni and sausage as well as the veggies of a supreme and although it was loaded with toppings. It was mainly veggies and not a lot of meat. The service was ok. This restaurant seemed new, very clean. I think coming once for the experience was enough for me.

So since my trip last year, I've craved this pizza. I now officially like mushrooms and have had pizza here twice this week. Server was on top of it and they give military discounts. Atmosphere is light and fun.

This Mello Mushroom is very upbeat and new. It's on the corner when you turn in. Plenty of parking in front of a cookie place. Did not go around back to see what the parking situation was. Inside is very modern. The bigger tables are in the bar area. I waited there for my pizza because I got it to go. The hostess was very nice and took my order. She gave good directions for the loo. The loo was clean and well kept up. She also offered up napkins and silverware to go as she showed me my pizza. Overall it was a good experience. I just wish we had one closer to Leesburg.

Had the pleasure of being served by Barsha at Mellow Mushroom a few nights ago. She went above and beyond and didn't steer me in the wrong direction with her food recommendations. It has been a long time since I've dined at mellow mushroom and the only thing I could remember was how much garlic was on the cloud 9 wings. Barsha reassured me that they could make the wings and put the sauce on the side, or even just lightly coat the wings - which is what I did. Needless to say, the wings were cooked to perfection this time. Also, when she realized that I wasn't a fan of too much garlic, she made me aware that the Holy Shitake pizza did have a garlic sauce drizzle - that I was fine with but truly appreciated the warning. The pizza was absolutely flavorful. I ordered the small pie, which consists of 4 slices. This was more than enough paired with the wings. The slices aren't thin and they are of decent size. After enjoying all that I could, Barsha provided me with the cutest box specifically for leftovers that states "So nice, You'll eat it twice" - I love the little details and thought put into the box. The restaurant had music playing for the most part and it seemed that a trivia was also going on in the background. It gives off a "groovy" feel based on the colors and designs when dining in -- it was cute! Definitely a place for friends to gather, or even do a solo outing. It's possible to do a more chill or relaxed date, but definitely not for those looking to dress up or looking for that fine dining experience. There is seating outside under a nice covered patio area if the inside seems a little louder. We actually wound up staying until close and didn't realize it. They didn't rush us off and urged us to take our time. I would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

I've loved Mellow Mushroom ever since college back in Charlottesville, so I was excited to try this spot in Chantilly. The Loaded Potato Pie always hits, and I tried the Holy Shiitake (not pictured) for the first time. It was actually very good- definitely adding it to my list of favorite pizzas from here. The house salad wasn't anything too special, but it was still refreshing. The only downside is that the food did take a while to come out compared to other locations.

    Great White Pizza

Visited Mellow Mushroom on a Sunday and our table ordered the Great White Pizza, a build-your-own pepperoni and sausage pizza, Cloud 9 wings, and a Lil Caesar salad. The Great White was delicious--I'd rate it an 8.5/10. The crust was easily the highlight--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was even better, a solid 9/10 with bold, classic flavors done right. The Cloud 9 wings, unfortunately, were a letdown. They came out lukewarm, so I sent them back to be reheated. Our server was nowhere to be found for about 10-12 minutes, and we had to flag down the manager just to get the wings warmed up. Even after that, they were just mediocre at best--5/10. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty, and surprisingly, even the Diet Coke stood out--cold, crisp, and well-carbonated. The decor had a cool rustic-modern vibe, with airplane propellers on the ceiling that added a unique touch. Would I return? Definitely--for the pizza. Everything else was hit or miss, but the pies alone are worth another visit.

Pizzas were over baked and the toppings not fresh. Dough also tasted chewy and overall stale. The experience was underwhelming including the sides we ordered. So underwhelming I can't even recall what it was. Service was prompt and order was ready upon arrival. Inside has places to sit and parking is free. I doubt I would ever return given the availability of better pizza places.

Our server was amazing- they were also having music bingo which was cool! They had vegan pizza and for Veganuary it was perfect. Substantial and customizable which is hard to find. Even though it's a little pricey, overall it's worth it!

This is our new go-to for pizza & wings anytime we visit the Virginia area! We visited family at Christmas time and needed a quick dinner option. So we ordered delivery to our hotel and the food arrived hot, when promised. The selection of pizza flavors is extensive. The mighty meaty pizza was loaded with toppings and not one bite was lacking. Our favorite feature was that you could split a pie half-and-half with any of their specialty flavors. Our "Hawaiian pizza" had half of the Pacific Rim toppings and half of the Maui Wowie toppings. It was incredible! It was nice to have so many flavors for the chicken wings and also many finishing options. My husband loves "flats" and wings that are finished on the grill. He got all the things he hoped for from Mellow Mushroom. I personally enjoyed that they included generous portions of fresh cut veggies with the wings. Keep up the great work! We highly recommend!

Wide variety of delicious pizzas with fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Pacific Rim with a drizzle of BBQ sauce. The salads are also fresh and flavorful. On my last visit, it was too hot to eat outside, but I enjoy the patio dining to watch the sunset.

It's such a cute esthetic and service was good and attentive. I went during lunch on Saturday so it wasn't too too busy. The pizza was great the menu was big enough for anyone to choose based on their preferences. Would recommend and will be back!

So, we went for the second day when they opened and had no problems at all finding parking. There are a number of pinball machines (which only take quarters) along the wall to the right of the entrance. They were very well organized for the Stout Festival and servers were helpful with answering questions about the large number of (around 20, didn't actually count) stouts on offer. You can select a flight of 4 brews to try or go straight for a pint. Eugene's sausages are also sold here and they are outstanding. We opted for sample flights of the stouts since it was the Stout Fest, but they offer a wide variety of brew styles. All of the stouts were excellent and varied from a dry style to much sweeter. My personal favorite was the Black Forest which featured distinct notes of cherry and chocolate, as the name suggests. If you love beer you might just find your new favorite here. Highly recommend.

The lights were dimmed, which gave the restaurant a cozy vibe I almost fell asleep lol. Since the restaurant is still fairly new, it wasn't too crowded, which made the experience even better. One thing I really liked was that the menu is chef-curated, so the dishes are served as-is and thoughtfully put together. You can really tell there's intention behind the flavors and presentation. For drinks, we ordered a smoked Old Fashioned and a chocolate martini for me, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we tried the Wagyu sliders, and they were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. For our entrées, my boyfriend ordered the lamb shank over mashed potatoes. The meat literally fell off the bone, and the mashed potatoes soaked up all the lamb juices, giving them so much flavor. I ordered the salmon with broccolini and added chimichurri and garlic butter sauce on top. I loved that they asked how I wanted my salmon cooked. I ordered mine medium well, and it came out perfect. Ali, Raoul, and the spectacular staff of Ocean8 for created a superb dining experience & introduction to exotic Ugyhur & Afghan cuisine. The staff and people we met there and dined with were very kind & gracious towards us. It was our first experience with Uyghur and Afghan cuisine and food we never had. All of the food was highly delicious. We had appetizers, dinner, and desserts in a buffet style. Servers came to our table and provided cups of ice and canned / bottled drinks of water and soda to us. The manager, Raoul, went from table to table to talk and provide assistance to us and all of the guests. Despite the huge crowd of diners, the staff were very professional and made sure all the guests needs were met. The appetizers we sampled were the: *Turkish Cheese Rolls The Star of all the appetizers. We loved the rich, lush, and creamy flavor. It was ideal to eat this appetizer first before sampling the other appetizers. ( Crispy, thin pastry rolls filled with creamy feta cheese and fresh parsley, lightly fried to perfection - reminiscent of the Italian version of a mozzarella stick) * Punjabi Samosa This appetizer gave an intense punch of flavor & spice in the first bite. It was the spiciest, unique, & most memorable flavor among all the appetizers served. ( A Punjabi Samosa is a crispy, golden pastry filled with a spiced blend of potatoes, peas, and aromatic herbs. Deep-fried to perfection and served with tangy tamarind and zesty mint chutneys. A classic North Indian street food favorite. * Uyghur Samosa Very easy to eat, delicious, and reminded me of a hand held version of chicken pot pie. My least favorite yet still a good appetizer. ( It is a breaded appetizer filled with seasoned minced beef and onions, topped with sesame seeds. ) This was the last appetizer I ate, and it reminded me of an Asian & Arabic smaller version of a chicken pot pie. Very tasty. ) * Afghan Homestyle Bolani I love how it was mildly flavored with spice and it was like an Afghan version of a quesadilla. ( An Afghan Bolani is a crispy, stuffed potato flatbread from Afghanistan filled with potatoes, green onion, chili peppers, and fresh herbs. It's pan fried until golden brown and crispy then cut into wedges.) * Garden Salad - A fresh and vibrant mix of cucumber, tomato, onions, and peppers. Dinner was Uyghur Pilaf Rice, Lamb chops, Uyghur Lamb Shish Kebab , a meatloaf like burger with an onion filling inside it, Ocean8 Chicken Chops, and Cacık Yogurt. The dinner entrees had more spice and intense flavors than the appetizers. My favorite entree was the lamb chop especially when eaten with the side of Uyghur pilaf rice and the cacik yogurt. The other meat dishes were superb in their flavor, spices, and presentation as well. Cacik, pronounced ja-jik is a Turkish yogurt and cucumber dish that's very common in almost all regions in Turkey. It was my favorite side & condiment to combine with the rice and dinner entrees. It reminded me of raita, and I ate the cacik with my dinner entrees the way I would eat raita. Raita is a classic Indian side dish made with cool, creamy yogurt, crisp cucumber, onions, and fresh herbs. It's a flavorful way to balance out the bold, spicy flavors of Indian food. We ordered two takeouts of the dessert we wanted to try at home after eating so much at the restaurant - the Tiramisu Cake. It was light, airy, and melted in your mouth - dessert perfection in taste and texture. I usually skip dessert but I could resist not trying this dessert. Overall, we were very highly satisfied and grateful for our dining experience at Ocean 8. We look forward to having future food experiences there.
