The owner, John, who I initially believed to be a man of integrity, especially considering that he is also known as a minister, completely failed to follow through on his word. My pants were not ready when I needed them for a trip. John told me that he would deliver them to my home. He never delivered them and never even called to provide an update. While I was away on my trip, I followed up with him, and he told me he would get back to me. Once again, he never did. Because my pants were not ready as promised, I was forced to purchase another pair of slacks for a wedding, which cost me $200. I provided the receipt to John and attempted to address the matter directly with him, but he has ignored my attempts to resolve the situation. This is not simply about the pants. It is about keeping your word, communicating with your customers, and taking responsibility when you fail to provide a service as promised. After being ignored and receiving no resolution, I am now being forced to pursue the matter through small claims court to seek reimbursement for the expenses and inconvenience caused by this situation. I am extremely disappointed with the way this was handled and would not recommend doing business here based on my experience. SEE YOU IN COURT MINISTER JOHN

I had a very disappointing experience with Lapel Dry Cleaners, and it raised serious concerns about…read moretheir professionalism, customer service, and how they handle customers' personal belongings. I dropped off several clothing items in the night drop on Tuesday evening after business hours, which was convenient and not an issue. The problems started the next day when I called to confirm they had received my items. Their phone appears to be a cell phone, and no one answered. I called twice on Wednesday and again on Thursday, with no answer and no return call. By Thursday afternoon, I went to the store in person because one of the items was my wife's dress for a wedding on Saturday. The employee could not find my clothing and had no record that my items had even been received. She explained that the dry cleaning is done offsite and told me she would call me around 4:30 p.m. after checking with the cleaning facility. That call never came. At 5:15 p.m., I returned to the store. When I asked why I had not received a callback, the employee said her manager was supposed to contact me. No one ever did. I again asked where my clothing was, and she said she still didn't know. I then asked to speak with a manager. The employee called the manager on her personal phone and put the call on speaker. The manager's response was surprisingly casual, simply saying they would "check again tomorrow." That was unacceptable. Tomorrow would be Friday, and if my wife's dress could not be located, we needed time to make other arrangements for the wedding. At that point, I was also preparing to file a claim for my missing clothing. As we discussed their intake process, I questioned how clothing dropped off overnight is tracked. Only after we walked through the process did the employee begin searching another area of the store. Eventually, she found my bag of clothing sitting in the back. None of the items had been processed or sent out for dry cleaning. They had apparently been sitting there untouched the entire time. What concerns me most is not just the mistake, but the complete lack of urgency, communication, and accountability. My calls went unanswered for two days. I never received the promised callback. No one seemed to know where my clothing was, and the manager showed little concern about the situation. Customers trust a dry cleaner with valuable and often irreplaceable personal items. That trust requires organized processes, clear communication, and respect for customers' property. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things here. Because of the lack of professionalism, poor operational management, and disregard for my time and belongings, I will not be returning. I cannot recommend this business to others and would encourage anyone considering using this cleaner to think carefully before trusting them with their clothing.

I don't wear suits everyday so I did not notice that I was missing a suit. When I called about it I was told since it had been more than 30 days, they weren't responsible. So my suit is gone and they don't care. There's no contact information for a corporate office, no escalation from the local branch. So, if someone decided they want your clothes more than you do, they have a perfect environment to do so. Even if my suit was "lost" there are zero safeguards for the customer. Look at other reviews on this company, apparently it happens a lot. Avoid this company at all costs. Well, I'm off to go buy another suit and I would wear it once and throw it away before I went back to any Hillpark location.

HERE'S THE STORY..... I got a refund on the first blanket and my grandma was able to fix the rips so my forever forgiving husband convinced me to continue using them. After the second lost blanket and the owner, Tim, somehow was on vacation every SINGLE time I called (at least once a week for over a month) and wouldn't answer or respond to his personal cell phone that his employee gave me. I did eventually catch him in the store and he just apologized telling me that my blanket must have somehow ended up at the Prosper location but he doesn't know where it is so he would refund this one too. I was supposed to send him the screenshot of how much it cost to replace the blanket and he would write me a check for the cost. I did just that. I never received this check. THIS WAS ALMOST A YEAR AGO. Fast forward to today..... I go look at my bank account, as I have done a few times today being an accountant I am very alert of my spendings. This fraudulent charge was not on my account until AFTER they were closed for the day. I somehow have a $70 charge from them that occurred today after they closed mind you, that Wells Fargo claims the business said "the customer keyed in the card number." How could one key in a card number HOURS after a business has closed? Plus, I have NEVER keyed in my card number to this business. I will NEVER use this business again. AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE unless the recommendation is what is the shadiest business in the Frisco/Little Elm area.... I think Lapels definitely deserves that award from this household.

Next time, checked them immediately and returned them for a redo explaining the problem, mostly with collars. Got those back, almost zero improvement. Had a long discussion with the manager, with astonishingly, me telling them how to iron a collar. They claimed they shipped those to another location and they have "another ironing crew". Had them put notes in the system about how to iron a collar. (ridiculous) That set comes back, it's "pretty much" acceptable but still had a few collars to touch up. That's on round three. Gave them two more shirts, still substandard. I'm not paying $7 a shirt for me to iron it myself. Staff is nice, but, last one trying to tell me how sometimes the collars get that way because of the way they bundle them or something. The card system is outdated and should be retired to accept tap to pay on the machines. The fee you're charging and then locking up endless amounts of small change on cards for the people to carry around isn't worth the effort. As a business, make the change. Further more, every other machine is broken. Who ever your maintenance agreement is with, switch to a new vendor. You shouldn't have more than one or two machines down at a time. I counted 14 while I was. That's lost business and on a weekend. The signs clearly have been up for a while leading me to believe the machines are being repaired poorly and damaging customers clothes which is what I see is called out in other reviews. I hope you're fixing the machines properly any time they break. The place is really directly. The floors are filthy. I came first thing on a Saturday morning and you can tell no one cleaned this place in years, let alone the night before. There is cakes of dust and debris on the floor. I was worried to drop anything out of machine risking it would touch the floor and I'd have to rewash it. Take down all the cheap paper signs and redo the bulletin boards. Have coffee somewhere in the vending machines. Do a coat of fresh trim paint to clean up all the damage. Remove the broken machine chairs in the kid area. Make that your coffee bar.
