Star Cleaners lost my tablecloth that was a souvenir from a trip to China. To their credit, they gave me cash for it, but that doesn't compensate for the sentimental value from a vacation which included my now deceased father. While I stood there waiting for them to look for my treasure, another customer was told that they had lost his clothes. This place has gone downhill. read more

My family has had Star Cleaners handle our dry cleaning for years. They've always done amazing, professional timely work served up with extraordinarily friendly customer services. They kept at this level of quality in service even as the Covid cutbacks in business cut back their business. I can always count on a warm and friendly hello, help to and from the car, and a warm and friendly discussion while they collect a return our clothes. Recently, they taught off these years of great service with the deed of great generosity. Our family has been helping an elderly disabled neighbor without family who has struggled since his wife died a few years ago. Cleaning his home in anticipation of his discharge from hospitalization, we discovered several closets full of dirty laundry apparently accumulated since his wife died. Apparently his physical limitations prevented him from addressing the laundry and it just built up. The resulting more than two truckloads of laundry was overwhelming. I'm sure where to go for a solution, I contacted my friends at Star Cleaners. I was overwhelmed by the response. Not only do they have a great laundry service, they charitably arranged a substantial discount that I can only hope is breakeven for the services. Certainly the service wasn't reduced in anyway. The laundry had been sitting for a long while, contained some dirt that many cleaners would be reluctant to handle, and in many cases required extra treatment and care to remove stains, mildew, and other issues. Despite these challenges, the Star Cleaner family provide Cadillac service salvaging virtually all of the linens, dry cleaning, clothes, and other laundry with the same meticulous care and detail as one would expect for much valued antique wedding dress or a priceless designer gown. If you or your family need dry cleaning or laundry for your every day needs or for some special item, I encourage you to check out Star Cleaners. I came here because of the high reviews and it was on the way for me when I run errands. However, now that I experienced this dry cleaner place for myself I am kicking myself for coming here. This was my first time here and will be my last. I arrived on Monday 2/19/19 around noon and the lady at the front desk asked me to mark the stains with the stickers she provided. They require prepayment so I paid and went on my way. She told me they will call me when the shirts are ready. The ticket states that it would be ready the next day by 5pm. I have attached pictures of the tickets that she gave me. A few days go by and I never received a call from them. I called Thursday 2/21/19 and the lady said "oh yea it's ready." No apology that I didn't receive a call . I came in the store and asked her if they were able to get the couple stains out that I marked for them. She said "I don't know, you can look." I looked through the shirts and the quality of work was very poor. Some of the shirts were wrinkled and no collar guard. They did not remove any of the stains. I brought this to her attention but she stated "remember I said that their is only a 50% chance that they will get the stains out. " Well actually she never said that, which I understand but these stains were from food and nothing that would be very difficult to remove. It didn't even look like they attempted to try to remove the stains . The stains looked exactly the same when I marked them on Tuesday. Please see my attached pictures on some of the shirts and receipts. I asked her for a refund for at least the three shirts that had stains on them. She refused and stated "we can redo the shirts but we do not give refunds and I'm the manager." The manager would not be an associate at the front desk . Honestly, I didn't have faith in them to redo the shirts. These are very expensive shirts and I was afraid that they would ruin them because I complained. I understand that accidents/mistakes happen but most of the shirts were wrinkled. Not the usual dry cleaning standard that I would get from previous places. I had to take the shirts to a different dry cleaning service. If they cannot get the stains out either then I will change this review. In my experience, if the stains were attempted to be removed they would would at least acknowledge that they were unable to remove them. This place didn't even acknowledge that they weren't able to remove them. The supposedThese stains were just from food nothing major. Also, they looked exactly the same like they didn't even attempt. What was the whole point of me marking them with the stickers then?? I will never return to this dry cleaners for multiple reasons. The poor customer service, awful quality of work, no accountability for their mistakes and just from the way this situation was handled was inappropriate from the supposedly manager that's also the associate from the front desk. They definitely dropped the ball on this one. I fully support small businesses but they should be embarrassed to let me walk out that door with my experience and how they handled the situation. Therefore, I do not recommend Star dry cleaning service to others! You get what you pay for from this place! read more

Very nice cleaners and nice staff. I have brought two items to be dry cleaned here and both came back perfect. One was a rain/trench coat and the other item was a white cardigan sweater. Prices are very reasonable as well. Will definitely be using them as my cleaners from now on. read more

They lost a $200 dress of mine back in March. I asked them multiple times to look into it and they never had an answer. They also never gave me a refund. I've been a loyal customer since 2007, and this is how they treat their loyal customers. read more

Have gone to this location for some time. Convenient location and priced right. Unfortunately they lost my clothes for 2 weeks. Seems they gave my pants to another customer. They aren't very open about what really happened. When they finally located my clothes they acted as if no big deal. Thank you for my patience. No effort to get me to comeback. No apologies for making a mistake. Just thank you for patience. Like no big deal. I guess it is time to find a new cleaners. 2 weeks without my work pants was a pain. read more

I have tried many cleaners in Plano simply because none of them can ever get my cleaning done right! I use one about two or three times and if I can't get what I want and pay for then I won't go back. This place has a great staff. The guy at the front is a juice guy and great to conversate with. When I went in my first time I told him that I have been to three other cleaners in the Plano area and nobody has gotten it right. I like my jeans starched extra heavy with a cardboard feel. Star cleaners achieved this my first visit and the results were great. I can't say this about my next two visits and have went home very dissatisfied and disappointed as the jeans were still wet and no lot starched extra heavy. They were very floppy and no crease was visible once worn. I will not go back to this place as they have reached my personal two strikes. read more

Very unexpected experience in a new place. Just moved in to the area with my family and came over to Star cleaners....then when dropping off our regular Dry Cleaning saw something different. A warm, very charming gentleman that after seeing us as new costumers, helped us in, answered questions with full knowledge about Dry Cleaning..and made us feel welcome. Well, This Cleaner is a real MISS in my book. Three times i used them. the first time they gave my clothes to someone else. took 10 days to get it back. The second time, they destroyed my shirt. The third time they ripped another shirt. I had to take it to get it fixed. They told my husband it was like that when i brought it in. NO! they had a cleaning tag on it, it was wrinkled like they just washed it but stopped. SO, If you are female you might want to rethink using this cleaners. I can not be more pleased with Star Cleaners and the new management. The new owner (Ranga) is totally committed to making this the place for cleaning and garment repair in the area. He remodeled the front area completely and had been doing the things that you would expect from a business that is here for the long run. My shirts, pants and suits have met the standard that most people would consider high. I have a significant investment in my work clothes and dress clothes so I expect that the cuffs and collars are returned clean and no starch. My dry cleaning must smell clean and look fresh. All of this at a strong competitive price. Right now, Star Cleaners is a big win. This cleaners dis a great job on a king sized bed comforter for half the price of other cleaners.

I brought in a California King down comforter I was afraid was stained beyond repair. He did an amazing job at a fair price. The comforter is as good as new. I'll be coming back for my other dry cleaning needs. read more

We send all our dry cleaning and select laundry items here, and they do a great job. Lots of personal care and attention go into cleaning everything unlike other places we've been to. They also have great alterations services. Service is excellent. We've accidentally left items in our pockets before, and they've kept them and returned it to us. I even trusted them with my wedding dress to be cleaned and boxed and was very pleased with that. read more

My husband's work shirts and slacks have always come out well. The staff are friendly and really seem to take extra pride in work quality. let us remember that this is under new management. since helen, the asian lady who previously owned the star cleaners and moved to "dry clean city" in parker and custer next to neighborhood walmart, the service in star cleaners started going down the drain. remember, i wrote the quality of service not about the star cleaners owners ( they're nice couple). star cleaners quality of service is poor such as boiler is broken, compressor is not working, same day service turned into two day service, pickup after 5pm turned out to be 6:30pm that i have to come back, giving me different clothes etc. i left and found helen in "dry clean city" next to neighborhood walmart parker and custer, plano. good luck star cleaners and hello dry clean city. check it out for yourselves. you choose and you decide. read more
