Updated Review** - The hours everywhere says "open at 7am" but it is not open at 7am. I waited 30 minutes before going back home because nobody was there to open the store. This is important as some people need to do their laundry bright and early to get to work on time. I'm not the only person, there are other reviews that say the same, but nothing has been done about this issue. It's still a great place to do laundry but the hours need to be consistant and if its not actually open at 7am, there needs to be a notification posted on the door or something so we aren't all just sitting in the parking lot. read more

First time user and I'll certainly be back! Bonnie was working by herself and very attentive, walking me through the app process, recommending which washer and dryers to use for my big comforter, and giving stain tips when she saw me scrubbing a spot. It was my first time here so I did not know what to expect. Our washer drain line fell victim to the recent Texas arctic blast, which prompted us to search for a laundromat. I have not had to go to a laundromat since 2000, so I was completely clueless as to where to begin my search. Enter WAVEMAX. The very task of having to do laundry is daunting. When you have access to your own washer and dryer in your own house, it's different, because it is right there, but when you have a water emergency and you can no longer do laundry until your equipment is restored to its pre-loss condition, and you begin to think of all the effort it takes to actually bring your load of dirty clothes to a place where you are uncertain or uncomfortable since it is your first time, it tends to give me serious anxiety. My Mom and I walked in and were immediately greeted and assisted by Paige, a delightful, patient, helpful, and friendly attendant. I explained that it was my first time here and she explained what they offered - from everything regarding detergent/fabric softener preference to color separation and we opted for the wash/dry service. I requested an estimate for wait time and Paige said it would be no later than 3pm. She patiently walked me through their process and my anxiety was immediately eased. I left our bag of clothes with them and WaveMax sent me a text when my clothes were ready to be picked up. The turn around time was very quick. I received a text telling me that my clothing order was received at 1:01PM and by 2:39PM I received another text telling me that my laundry was ready. Overall, I was very impressed and satisfied with how clean and fresh the clothes were and would use the service again in the future. She even washed and dried my reusable, recyclable, shopping bags. We will be frequenting WaveMax for the next several months while our flooring is restored to pre-loss condition, necessary repairs are made, and our washer and dryer are reconnected. This is the best laundry mat I've ever been to! Not only is it spotlessly clean and sanitized by state of the art machines, the employees are sooooo nice and helpful. The bathrooms are spotless too! Everyone seems happy to be there washing their clothes. There's WiFi, TVs and nice music playing. I met the owners the other day and they were wonderful people! Wow, THIS place is what a laudromat should be. Clean to the point of pristine, lots of machines (and plenty of the large ones, which is why I go to wash my huge comforter), and outstanding personal service from attendents! Today, I had the pleasure of dealing with Bonnie, the attendent on site this morning when I visited. She was BEYOND helpful and polite, despite my several interruptions to ask questions. This is a good neighborhood laundromat; only been in business, as a laundromat at this location, a couple of years so the machines are new and state-of-the art. Washers and dryers accept a Wave-Max card (in-store purchase) or add funds to the app on smart phone (i.e., they don't accept coins) The business changed hands mid-2023, and is not kept as sparkling clean as with previous owners. However, that said, I highly recommend the business. An attendant is on premises during business hours. read more

What a find! After two unsuccessful visits to a closer laundromat, decided to venture further afield, and was worthwhile! We were met by a chearful & knowledgeable attendant who showed us around & offered to cash in our bag of coins for bills--because the machines run off stored value cards. And if you register the card you're protected from loss, and the machines will txt you when they're done. The place was spotless, the machines all worked, and the bathroom was cleaner than Starbucks! Can't imagine going anyway else to wash a comforter! read more

I haven't been to a laundromat in years, but needed to wash bedding that my home washing machine couldn't handle. I found this place in a random search, and am so glad that I did! Situated in the Kroger shopping complex, Wavemax is a brand new laundromat with upscale Electrolux washers and dryers. I love the fact that they also have hospital grade disinfection with every wash included. And because the machines are new, the wash and dry times are shorter, too. Bonus points for the outstanding staff who are so friendly, and were happily showing me the way. I highly recommend this business and will be back soon. read more

I went to this laundromat this afternoon and went to convert my $20 to coins for the machines. The one coin machine was not working. I asked the two ladies working there, if they could make change for me because their machine was not working. I was told they couldn't make change using their register because they needed to be able to make change for customers using their laundry service. What??? So because I wasn't paying them to do my laundry and only wanted to use their machines , I was not considered a customer. That's just wrong. The place looked clean but I was unable to actually use their machines to do a complete review. read more

Crazy nice laundry spot. High end machines and great service from the lady working inside. Super clean and not your normal run of the mill laundromat. Check them out if you need to do a load or two. We stopped cause we were vacationing and wanted to wash our clothes before heading back home. 17 min wash cycles can't be beat. read more

I would give this place a million stars if I could. I came into do my laundry and my apartment recently had a pipe burst and flooded the entire thing. I was already stressed and I noticed they had a laundry service. I talked to the owner and she was able to get it done for me that day which in itself was amazing. I'm assuming her name is Sarah ( reading the response from owners on here). Her and her family are just incredible people. Not only were they able to get my laundry done quickly, it was very affordable and done very well. Her and her husband were extremely friendly and funny while I was dropping my stuff. Now, again this was done pretty quickly considering I didn't drop it off until after 3:00. I picked up my belongings and their son was nice enough to carry it out for me as it was a larger bin. Now, I go to leave and now my car is dead. I go inside clearly overwhelmed and ask if they could help jump my car. They did without hesitation and even offered my a slice of pizza. I know most people would help another if they needed a jump but that's not what this is about. They showed so much kindness on a day I felt like I was drowning. They comforted me when they say just how overwhelmed I was. You can tell they are hard working people and without a doubt truly blessed me that day. Hearts of Gold! read more

I love this place. Had an issue with my washer dryer and have a very stressful schedule so needed them wash, dry, fold service. They helped me instantly, was so friendly, three place is super clean with hospital grade filtration. The rates are perfect. My only tiny complaint is that I put a ton of softener in with my detergent mix but everything didn't smell like my detergent nor was it soft. Also, the folding was hurried so I had to redo all the folding so it didn't look like a 12 year old it. Otherwise, they nor your account with your preference and you can pay online, get text updates and do much more. I recommended to a vendor and his wife was elated since they have kids and it was cleaner then the other place they go to every week. read more

I'm such an oldie that I was extreeeemely confused for about 5 min when I walked in... awkwardly tried to swipe my debit card at the vending machine... considered going home and trying my broken dryer again in a moment of desperation... gave up and confronted my social anxiety by asking at the desk wtf was going on. lol! I'm used to laundromats where we just needed quarters, if that wasn't clear. I think the washers were a little overpriced (of course I could be basing this off of my previous experience a couple years ago when I lived in a W/D-less complex - biased). Dryer prices were fine, though. Once I was less confused, I started to appreciate the system; still wish there was help for dummies like myself. It's very clean, and I saw that the employee on the premises was doing laundry for customers which I've never seen before in a laundromat. This is the only laundromat I've been to that had fully stocked vending machines. It is spacious as well. To be clear: once you walk in, go towards the back and pay to load up a new card following instructions on the screen. From that point forward you'll need to just set your card on the readers, which are on all washers, dryers, and vending machines. Leave said card on until it tells you to remove it otherwise machines won't start etc. Edit: I love the business owner's reply! Based on previous reviews, i simply entered with naïveté and didn't know about the new tech. I really love the location and care for the customers. 4 stars changed to 5! read more

Needed to clean the comforter and sheets. Went to Yelp, liked what I read about this place and off we went. Walked in and Kat immediately greeted us - told me exactly which machine I needed to do and the best setting (delicate and not the comforter setting BTW). Kat then walked me through how to get a card, get my card registered should I lose it (and I put in my phone number so the machines can text me when they're done - pretty awesome). Also found out about the hospital grade disinfection system the washing machines have. A great experience. I plan to utilize their comforter service going forward. Highly recommend. 10/10. read more

I was looking around for a place to wash and dry my queen/king sized comforter. I needed a commercial unit with a large capacity. I went to WaveMax to check out their facility and noticed that they also have a small laundry operation in the rear of the laundromat. After speaking with the lady attending the counter, I decided to try them out. She was very careful to ask regarding what detergent (they had several options), temperature, any special treatment, and provided me with some recommendations as I asked questions. 1-2 day service (depending on the weekday/business load). Came back for it early as they did a quick turn around and was extremely happy with the results. No scent (per request), very clean, no damage, nicely packaged. Great service and, best of all, price was half of what I paid at a dry cleaner that I usually use. Completely happy and will be back for other items that I need laundered. read more

I have written a review prior (look for Julie D on 12.22.2022 YELP which I gave them five star because it was amazing. My washer finally bit the dust for good and so I decided to go back to the WaveMAX Colony location to see the nice owners and Paige who took care of me in 2022. However, the owners just sold to new owners but Paige is still there and even remembered me a year later. Very impressive. The reason for the one star now is that they increased the rate from $1 per pound to $1.59 per pound. I researched and this is way overboard for a fluff n fold. Maybe one star is harsh but want them to know this is too much of a jump. I would not pay that at any location clean or pitiful. read more

Smelled clean, the machines are Electrolux and are extremely well-maintained (especially considering the condition of the machines at the 'nice' hotel I am staying at. They have a person onsite who is wiping down machines and is able to assist if you have any questions. The best part: you don't need quarters! They have a phone app you can preload with $$ or use a credit card to buy a preloaded WashCard. It was easy and efficient! You won't be disappointed. read more

I choose drop off service and in less than 24 hours they were finished and at a price I deemed very reasonable.
