Flavor is not too strong and the bread is light! Overall, it is not salty with a tad of mayo/lettuce/cucumber slice. Their $2 pineapple buns are not too sweet/salt either. All of their breads are on the fluffy light side! One time, I found a hair on my bun and the ladies let me exchange for a new one. They also gave me a drink for free in return for the mishap. Their ying yang milk tea (they use lipton) is great too! It is a walk from main st 7 train, but if you are around this area, its a must try for easy/quick snack/small meal!

With that said, I don't come here much because their selection is small and some of the pastries (eg. Egg Tart) are underwhelming. I really come here for two specific sandwiches - chicken and fish. Over the years, the under $2 sandwiches have climbed to $4 now. Regardless, it's still a good buy and definitely a worthwhile cheap eats. When they are fresh, they can really hit the spot. The fish is slightly on the salty side to pair beautifully with the airy bread. I'm less of a fan on the bread for the chicken, but the thigh meat is super tender and flavorful. These are still very good, but timing to get one that is hot is hit or miss. The service is typical of Chinese bakeries, fast and possibly a smile on a good day. However, the space is small with one tiny table stuck behind a garbage can. Some flies were visible too. I would do takeout.

Because it is sourdough, the texture of the bagel is chewier and a bit tougher than your typical bagel. The various bagel flavors and cream cheese spread are very fun. I've tried zaatar bagel and onion focaccia. They were so flavorful and great combination. The fig cream cheese and guava cream cheese are sweet but not overwhelming. Definitely worth trying! The price is quite steep probably because of its location and labor of love for sourdough. It's a great spot if you want to treat yourself to a special bagel sandwich.

At $2.95 each I got a baked roast pork bun, and a pineapple topping custard bun. Both were very big and every component was high-quality. The pork inside was a natural looking sauce - not bright red, the pork was cut up into regular pieces/strips it was like a healthy meal. The bread part was fluffy, dense and didn't feel like an empty white flour situation. The custard bun had a very generous amount of a custard in it and the pineapple topping didn't crumble off and fall off into pieces, but was very nicely made shell. And it was "Not-too-Sweet"! AND they were also warm! The shop's pretty simple with maybe 10 different items, also frozen baos to go, lotus wrapped sticky rice and tarts, the homemade pineapple cakes looked good. I got a Hong Kong milk tea (hot) $2.25, but the flavors weren't that strong. There were a lot of students picking up snacks, probably from nearby Queens, College, young families, a grandpa and his adult grandson came in for hot milk tea, and egg tarts.
