What a value in the DC area! Bottomless brunch that includes mimosas, steak and an appetizer! Steak was cooked well and the entire meal was just great. Staff was also attentive! I would highly recommend for a day out with friends!

First time trying Medium Rare after seeing it on TikTok and I must say that I was impressed! I went for brunch and got the steak and eggs with a side of French toast. The steak was cooked medium and the sauce is a game changer! The employees and servers were welcoming and attentive. And the restaurant offered a patio and spacious indoor seating. We started outside but it was a little chilly so they sat us inside.

We had the Sunday Brunch at Medium Rare. It was great and the service was fantastic. We were one of the first ones there and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We ordered the French toast and the steak frites and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Cute concept for sure and I really can't be mad at bottomless drinks for 1$. The brunch only gives you one serving of steak but that was enough to make me full. The steak wasn't anything amazing but it was sous vide so the texture was tender and the sauce was good. Not the best steak I've ever had but for the price it wasn't bad. The service was a bit slow and ignored us a few times but overall good experience

yes they literally serve one course: salad and steak & fries. i was skeptical when a coworker brought me here but i was blown away by how good steak could get?!? i came back recently and i have to say having your steak cooked medium rare (haha get it?) is the way to go (i chose medium well the second time). the juiciness of the pink center blends seamlessly with the steak sauce. it turns a typically dryer dish into one with different textures! pair it with your favorite wine and it's sure to hit the spot. very creative restaurant and i will come back when i crave a nice steak :)

3 Course Prefix Meal

Excellent food and service. Loved that the prefix meal was so simple, but so good, and family-style serving (being able to have "seconds" of the steak and fries was lovely). The ambiance is warm and inviting, very simple and intimate. There were multiple birthdays being celebrated when I went and everyone clapped for and celebrated each other. It was a really nice energy. The restaurant also allowed my group (about 10 people) to bring in a homemade birthday cake, which they cut and served for us.

Really good food. Great atmosphere and good service. We really enjoyed this place and my fiance comes here everytime he travels to DC for work!

Their brunch is such a good deal, like $35 for bottomless drinks, a starter, and an entree?? Absolutely fabulous. I got the fruit parfait, steak and eggs, and some bottomless mimosas to sip on. What's nice about the deal too is that you don't even have to stick with a single drink, but I'm a big mimosa girly so I stuck with that the whole time. The parfait was delightful, but I do wish there was fresh fruit in it instead of dried fruits. The steak and fries were amazing. I wasn't a fan of my eggs; I asked for them to be poached and oddly the yolks were completely set and the whites were gelatinous. I wish I'd opted for just the steak frites. I also got to try a bite of their French toast and it was insanely sweet. It's a nice casual spot with flexible brunch options! The only issue was service was honestly a little slow, but at least with the mimosas they left the bottle of champagne opened at your table.

Celebrated my best friend's new job offer here last night and we split the appetizer (mushrooms) and dessert (key lime pie) amongst 3 of us. The steak and frites go really well with the sauce, which becomes a bit too salty along the way, but it's also a taste that we can't do without. I was awed by the generous portion of steak and frites which got us stuffed to the brim. This set meal also comes with artisan bread and salad. We topped it off with drinks - tried the red wine, margarita and sangria, and concluded with the popular key lime pie. The margarita was very refreshing and a great complement to the meal itself. The bathroom also has an audio of French phrases seemingly teaching you how to flirt? Lol. It was my first time here and my best friend bought us the meal. Won't be my last!

I've been wanting to come here for a bit and decided to do brunch on a whim. The inside was nice. My reservation was for 12:45pm. They definitely had a decent crowd there, but it wasn't totally packed which was nice. Their brunch ($34.99) includes bread and butter, a starter (salad, fruit salad, or a yogurt parfait), an entree, and bottomless drinks (blood Marys, mimosas, or screwdrivers.) While my understanding is that their entree options for lunch and dinner are primarily steak frites, brunch has more of an array of choices. I opted for the parfait, Bloody Marys, and steak frites. Everything came out quickly, and they were very on top of drink refills (which can be hit-or-miss with bottomless places). I was there a little over an hour and had 4 Bloody Marys in that time, for context. My server was great and also kept my water filled consistently, which I appreciated. The parfait was good. I didn't expect it to have dried fruit on it, but it was actually really good and refreshing. The bread was nice and fresh as well. The Bloody Marys were also tasty, though they were fairly standard and didn't stand out amongst others I've had (which was fine). The fries were nice and crispy, and they came in a good portion. I really enjoyed them. And the steak was really tender. I don't usually use sauce on my steak, but theirs comes with their house sauce on it, and it was very tasty. It was savory but not overpowering. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Medium Rare! I'm not sure if I would be as inclined to go there for lunch/dinner, but the brunch was absolutely worth it and I would come back again for that!

Just enjoyed a delicious prefixed menu dinner, crusty bread, salad, steak and fries with a side of mushrooms. Delicious food, friendly, waiters, pleasant atmosphere plus a second helping was offered to us to take home! Will definitely go back again.

First time at this location (have been to the one in Bethesda before), and it was awesome. The steak was cooked perfectly and had delicious flavor with the gravy. I could've had a third serving honestly haha. The bread and salad were solid, but I ended up enjoying my steak and fries a lot. Our food came out relatively fast and it was a cozy vibe inside since it's almost the end of the year. Their desserts looked insane but gotta be careful as you get older smh. Def check them out if you get a chance.

The location is great, and the decor makes you feel very comfortable, almost homey. The only negative (and this only applies to gluten-free folks like me) is that they do not have gluten-free bread, pasta, or pizza. This limits quite a bit of what is available. Still, they have worked with me to figure things out the four times we have gone. If you are not gluten-free, this is a must. If you are, check the menu beforehand and have all your questions ready to discuss with the waiter.

It has a contemporary upscale interior and seating is mostly spacious - except for the rows of two tops. Luckily the hostess must have read my mind and seated us in my favorite curved banquette - a more comfortable and private space. The RW menu turned out to be a bit confusing - it was different from the one I saw online - the online version was $40 for dinner but with most mains with up to $10 add-ons, the only one without the add-on was the trout which I was planning to order. However the menus at the restaurant were completely different. Now there were two options one for $40 and one for $55 (with no more add-ons, as well as no more bass which with the add on would have been $50) but the trout was now only Included in the $55 version. So I ended up with pasta instead. The switch wasn't a deal breaker for us but I can imagine it causing problems for others especially it's not just switching dishes but also prices. Anyway, despite the initial confusion with different menus we had a good time as both food and service were excellent (and I liked our seating which definitely mitigated the menu issue). Note that like many other restaurants in the area they now automatically include a 20% service charge which is prominently shown in the check so additional tip is appreciated but not required.

And what a joy that is. Although it has been around for decades, Buck's has adapted deftly to our current inflationary environment. Perhaps a luxurious dish like steak au poivre is not longer affordable? Well then, how about Burger Au Poivre? With top quality toppings creatively prepared: grilled oyster mushrooms, gruyere and white cheddar cheese, and grilled vincotta marinated onions. Oh my word. All of it was beautifully plated on a bed of cracked peppercorn sauce. Of course the meat itself was of excellent quality, perfectly cooked to order at medium rare. At $31 it is not cheap, but I think a bargain for a meal that sends you over the moon. An equivalent quality steak would have been exorbitant. We paired it with asparagus tempura (also excellent), a nice bottle of Montepulciano de Abruzzo, and for dessert, apple crisp. I also truly appreciate that the portions are generous. Another thing that has become rare these days. Given the service and unique ambience, this is a special occasion restaurant that is fantastic bang for the "Buck," while also casual enough for date-night any day of the week.

The restaurant is on the dark side so you have to tip your menu toward the table light. I was in the mood for spaghetti and meatballs ( not on the menu) but the waitress took the order without a problem. I also ordered garlic bread. She brought a glass of water and I decided on a glass of wine, pinot noir I think. The garlic bread and wine arrive quick. I'm enjoying the first piece of garlic bread and sipping the wine. Nice! The spaghetti and meatballs came out shortly thereafter. I was a disappointed with this part of the meal. Meatballs lacked flavor. No garlic, no parmesan cheese. The pasta was fine but the sauce was watery and didn't taste like gravy at all. I ate most of it, the garlic bread accenting the meal with the wine. I will probably go back. I like the small mom and pop restaurants like I'm Eddie Cano. Service was very good. I was able to get a reservation. The place was clean.
