Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. But the beer was expertly poured and the wine was a very generous serving. The prices are also more than reasonable, which is great for a DC bar. But what really elevates this place is the service. But each and every bartender was extremely friendly and they expertly worked the crowd, getting drinks served quickly (which too few places manage to do) and swiftly clearing off tables of dirty glasses. The two restaurants share a kitchen, so I think in future I would dine at Maydan, which is where the hearth actually is (all the food served at Medina is walked across the alleyway from Maydan) and choose Medina as a cocktail bar that also has food.
